Detailed Reviews

It was my time at Hua Hin, and I have read about the place through other reviews. The Evergreen Boutique is tucked away in a quiet corner and the staff attending to you are friendly and provide a personal touch. We had a very good stay in the hotel. A great place to stay for peace and tranquil environment.
A short walk to the beach, but will need to take a taxi, which the staff will gladly arrange, to get to Hua Hin central where the markets and night markets are located.
Overall, a great experience and thanks to the staff, who were very helpful.

Visited Evergreen already 4 times. No need to search for another place to stay. If one likes small and quiet place to stay - this is perfect. Rooms very clean and large enough. Beds so big you can sleep from west to east or north to south. You won't fall down. Nice staff make you feel like home. Breakfast +++ served to table from your order. Good restaurants even nearby. Staff advises where it is worth to eat and drink. I will happily return to Evergreen on April 2014. Prepare for booking, mates!

Lovely quiet and relaxing set-up, perfect if you want a nice area, hotel is tucked away in a quiet back street so great for sleeping in and chilling out. Staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly, the use of hotel tuk tuk great as the hotel is probably too far for most people from main shops/restaurants area to walk (about 2km). Room was large, breakfasts were lovely, air con good, bed huge and comfortable, pool beautifully clean and cool and room rates very reasonable. Incredibly good restaurant nearby called Coco 51, sensational. Great for golfers but also for couples just having a holiday. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back next year.

Very very small place with only few rooms which are nice. Swimming pool nice but too small and not good if you want to have sun. Breakfast ok, but little bit boring if you stay longer time. And if you want to sleep longer time ask room from upstairs so that breakfast eaters do not wake you up.
But biggest negative thing is location. "Far" from everything, you always need to use tuk tuk, it is ok, if you want say in peace.

Stayed there for 4 days in February 2012.
Not worth the price.
Very average hotel – though expensive compared to the down hotels. Some would probably call it cozy, I would probably call it a bit worn-out.
Quite friendly staff but they lack the ability to speak English and are therefore not much help. Ok breakfast, but far from interesting.
Very small pool and I’m not quite convinced that it is maintained properly.
Situated 1,5 km from down town Huahin so you must depend on the hotel’s free Tuk Tuk transportation – unfortunately it doesn’t drive between 12 and 17 o’clock.
I recommend you instead chose a down town hotel for better value. And if you want to be close to the atmosphere of down town Huahin, this hotel is not recommendable.

Huahin is the best place for hotels, with cheap rates and beautiful grounds everywhere. We stayed in 3 different hotels on our trip, Ayrest, Evergreen, and De La Paix.
Ok, the location is not the best, there are no shuttle buses because they changed management, or so we were told by the grumpy lady who was the receptionist, housekeeping, chef, and concierge. We asked her how much it cost to get a cab to the night market, which was about 15 min away on foot. She called a driver and told us 150baht and the driver would be here in 15 mins. We told her we would rather walk, and she cursed at us in Thai while giving us the most evil look. I guess because we weren't white guys, we weren't all that welcome. Whoever that woman was, she was quite nasty.
The Wi-Fi was dead, the pool was smaller than a fish pond, the entire place is depressing.
On the bright side, the aircon was really good, the room was spacious with interesting ornaments and furniture, and the water was hot. The bed was quite hard.
Oh we asked for a twin room but there wasn't one, so my friend had to sleep on the couch which she said was quite comfy. Breakfast was... Nothing exciting. Overall Ayrest was a better value for money, and de La Paix the best hotel in Huahin.

Small, value for money, but u get a lot more than u pay for. Room was huge. Nice pool. Nice staff. I highly recommend it. The place has a lot of character.
It’s a wee bit away from all the noise and touristy stuff. Walkable.

By time of writing the hotel is run by the staff. The former owner John has died in an accident.
Spacious rooms with air con but no window to open! The only fresh air you'll get comes from the bathroom vent.
An appealing inner zone surrounded by the rooms (you hear clients passing by). The hotel is located nearly 15 min from city centre in a quiet area close to many restaurants and beach side locations of good to high quality.
We've had some mosquitos in our room and the only solution for this was spraying.
For us Robert (the interim manager), and owner of "A Roma Wine+Beer Lounge" (in centre of Hua Hin) was of good help in booking, and organising from rooms, golf and transportation. As he was always our first contact for any questions what and where to go in Hua Hin. For Robert we are rating 5 star, for the hotel the 3 star average will be a fair value.

As a non-golfer this is a great hotel to stay in. I was tempted to give it full score but only small things made me land on a 4/5 score.
Pros: Cheap, very big room, good breakfast even for late sleepers, small bar 24/7,friendly staff, quick replies on email, clean, own tuk-tuk that drives you to town for free, good beds, english channels on tv,free wifi, nice lobby area and a small pool.
Cons: A bit far from town center, very low pressure in the shower, cheap bathroom ameneties, wifi a bit slow and on and off, a bit noisy air condition.
But all in all its a great place to stay, i would stay again when in HH. This place has a good atmosphere and the staff seems very happy to work here and that reflects the the thinking of the owner. Thumps up :)
