Firstly, the hotel is gorgeous! It’s so beautifully designed. Although it’s on a busy main road, you’d never know because inside is an oasis of tranquility.
The room is absolutely gorgeous and the pool on the balcony is stunning although the water is pretty cold as it never gets the sun. This meant we barely used our pool which was disappointing.
The main pool area is lovely and offers various options with different views in sun and shade as well as a few sunbeds on the beach. However, we found it really annoying that other guests would “reserve” their sun loungers by putting towels in the morning then go for breakfast and back to their rooms and not reappear for over an hour. For people wanting to actually use a lounger there would be none available in certain areas even though there were no people actually there. I was surprised after several days of witnessing this behaviour to see a sign with “sunbed reservation policy” by the pool (see photo) which states (in English and German!) that this is not allowed. It’s a pity that the hotel does not enforce its own policy and allows this selfish and unfair behaviour.
Location is very convenient as you can walk to the centre of town, night market, Market Village mall and plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a 7-11 convenience store right outside and a Tops supermarket very close. There is also a place to get laundry done by the kilo if you turn right when leaving the hotel.
Breakfast is excellent with plenty of variety, both Asian and western, and different options from day to day so you don’t get bored if staying a few days.
There is a very good gym with lots of cardio and resistant training machines. A lot better than your average hotel gym. There is also a sauna and a steam room, though I’m not sure why you would want that in this climate!
Tip - Don’t book an airport transfer through the hotel. It was 80% higher (6,500 bt) than we paid through a very reputable company in Bangkok (3,630 bt) which you can book online and pay by credit card (the company was recommended by our friends who live in Thailand). Find the website by googling “SP Limousine”. We also used this company from the airport to central Bangkok and then to Hua Hin and back. Note this comparison is to a quality company. There are lots of local taxi companies in Hua Hin that charge around 2,000.
Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and the beautiful design and atmosphere as well as general good quality made up for the minor niggles mentioned.

The Cape is a beautiful hotel for the highest demands. The big advantage over the large hotel chains that otherwise dominate the place is the manageable size of 59 very comfortable rooms - all with their own pool - which guarantees a very guest-oriented and personal service. The staff already knows on the second day how you drink your coffee and which pool loungers to set up for you. We have tried many hotels in Hua Hin, from Hyatt to Putahracsa to the Marriott - but the Cape Nidhra is clearly above all the others and would always be our choice.
The room is just perfect, large comfortable bed with a view of the pool on your own terrace. The bathroom with freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower with rain shower is top-notch. There is coffee/tea in the room - and if you need it... a smart TV
The breakfast is incredibly good, there are fresh baked goods, egg station, fruit station, various Thai dishes, salads, European sausage and cheese and so on. Plus 8 different juices, coffee, sparkling wine, water, fresh coconut... Basically everything your heart desires. The lunchtime snacks are delicious, the BBQ on Tuesday is recommended. The prices for the food are standard for a hotel, for example a sirloin steak is cheaper than in Germany - but logically more expensive than outside the complex.
The pool with a view of the sea is fantastic - and because the hotel only has 59 rooms, each with its own pool, there are always free loungers. There is a decent gym and a recommendable spa. The management cocktail on Tuesday is a great offer. There is also a small shop and a very good bar with a sundowner happy hour.
The real highlight of Cape Nidhra are the people who work there and give guests a very special holiday feeling, unobtrusive attention and friendliness.
Starting with the Swiss hotel manager Christian, who makes his rounds every day, greeting guests and offering support. Pao, his right-hand man, also speaks German and is always available for requests and suggestions. Every Tuesday at 6 p.m. there is a free manager's reception with finger food, soft drinks, beer and wine. Afterwards the hotel offers an optional and varied BBQ.
Back to the people who make the hotel so special.
Thanks to Sak, the bellboy, who takes care of the luggage and, if requested, even drives the guests to their room in a golf cart
Taek, the chef, who can really do magic
Utai and Pimon from the service
Pui, who mixes a perfect MaiTai at the bar
the pool boys Chris and Toh (German-speaking) and
Ton, who lovingly looks after the garden.
We'd love to come back

After a good 9 years absence, corona and personal things have prevented an earlier arrival, we have now moved back into the feel-good hotel of our choice. First of all, a big praise to the still perfectly working manager of the house, Mr. Christian Roeschli, who was very helpful in booking the desired room on the desired date. After the 3 hour journey from Bangkok, well-being was the order of the day. The reception was warm as usual, from all staff. After a short check in we were escorted to our Family Pool Suite. Everything was prepared as desired, there was plenty of space for everything. The highlight is of course the private pool on the terrace, not a paddling pool but with good size.We used it almost always after the evening in the city,a treat and cooling at the same time. The next morning for breakfast; a pleasant atmosphere, a lot of space and a nice breakfast offer. It seemed to me that the selection has evolved a little more towards the Asian guests, but can also be deceiving. In any case, enough is offered, fresh juices and fruit and of course egg dishes in all variants. We also used the barbecue twice on Tuesdays and were not disappointed.Very good meat and fish selection with various dips and sauces. In addition, there is an amazingly good wine selection, which we then also used.As a result, animated, we ate a third time in the restaurant, the menu was very well mixed, the quality very appealing. Of course, recreation should also be the focus. The pool area is very large for the size of the hotel and the associated lower number of guests. But the loungers area in the garden is not so large, which is also due to the floor plan of the hotel. There were always loungers available, however, at all times of the day. Generally everything is architecturally very harmonious.Very nice wood tones with light colors and gray areas.Especially very generously kept, the restaurant and of course the rooms and suites.Where you can find already 80 square meters as the smallest room, and all with pool. The location is also very advantageous, good 15 slow walking minutes to the center with many restaurants, bars and shops. Unlike the noisy and large bar areas in Phuket or Koh Samui, in Hua Hin you will find rather everything a little smaller and quieter. For people like us looking for peace, just right. My wife had also used the spa area of the hotel several times and was very enthusiastic about the quality as well as the friendliness. And at a good price, as she said. It was striking, as well as recently, that there were no problems in the service. All staff were competent, well trained and always friendly and helpful. This is very rare lately.

It is not for singles and party people, there are no animations and no music. You just lie around reading books is on your phone. They're not right by the sea. The pools are freezing cold, even at 30 degrees you don't want to go in, whether in the room or outdoors.
The sea itself is okay, the waves go up to the hotel edge and retreat again around noon.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are cleaned daily. Partly annoying because the cleaning lady knocks twice a day if you need anything else.
A hospital is located directly opposite, I strongly recommend taking out travel insurance.
The food is very good, but the breakfast buffet has ants everywhere, which is not part of a luxury hotel.
Having lunch and dinner, if included, you still pay for the drinks extra.
I would not recommend Hua Hin for younger ones. It is more for pensioners who want peace and quiet.

I like Thailand and I visit every year except during the pandemic. It was my first visit to Hua Hin. We chose this hotel because of the convenience and good reviews around us, but it was a nice and comfortable hotel. The smiles and care of the staff are wonderful. I always got help from a hotel entrance security guard when crossing the big road in front of the hotel. From morning to night, cleaning kept the premises clean. The brighter woman who cleans the room comes twice, morning and evening. Breakfast changed a little bit every day, and when we stayed we had a cold mango smoothie (which was delicious) and cold pressed juice on Tuesday, and champagne and noodle stalls on Wednesday. There seems to be a fruit corner every day where people cut fruit on the spot. The menu was all good, but the bread was so good that I couldn't help but reach for a croissant every day. We also had dinner twice at the same restaurant, and the Italian, Thai and seafood were all delicious, and the staff at the restaurant were very helpful. Dry saunas and mist saunas are attached to the gym changing rooms, and since no one was using them, they can be reserved. The dry sauna is self-contained. There were no locker keys and bath towels, so you may need to check with the staff when you use them. Both the main pool and the pool in the room were pleasant, and there were not many mosquitoes in the premises, so it was nice to relax on the terrace in the room. Outside the hotel, there are convenience stores, supermarkets, laundry, massages and Shopping malls within walking distance, and Hua Hin train station can be reached in about 15 minutes. There may be more shops for tourists in front of the Hilton by the sea than in front of the station. The beach in front of you is perfect for morning and evening walks.

We stayed at Cape Nidhra last April. Our second visit. A quiet peaceful boutique place that backs onto the beach with exceptional staff. From the friendly gardener sweeping the leaves every morning to Sombat the legendary Security guard out front they would always warmly greet us with a smiling face. A special thank you to Annie in the restaurant for her great customer service and rechecking with us daily to advise us which foods my son could not eat due to an egg allergy. Thank you all for making our stay welcoming.

This is a really well situated hotel with spacious rooms, each with its own small pool, and a beautiful beach - the sand was some of the best we’ve seen on our travels. The view from the room wasn’t great but the rooms feel very private and the opportunity to dip into our own pool (not heated) was lovely when we were too warm. The bathroom was spacious and we loved the two sinks and deep bath, as well as a shower.
Breakfast was a little more limited here than in some of the other hotels we stayed at during our tour of Thailand but still enjoyable- an excellent range of tea!
The security guards were so helpful in calling a taxi or tuk tuk or simply pointing us in the right direction whenever we left the hotel. For a set rate of 150 baht it’s just a few minutes to Cicada market (arty) and then Tamarind market just 150 yards from there (for food). The pool team were also really friendly and would bring drinks to our loungers adjust order on the call buttons!
The Market (shopping) Village is even closer and an easy 7-10 minute walk away. Don’t forget to visit the railway station around a 10 minute walk away.
In brief, if staying in Hua Hin then this hotel is definitely worth considering and we would stay again.

Cape Nidhra, Hua Hin is a small hidden boutique hotel gem located between many bigger commercial hotels in Hua Hin. Located straight on the beach, with a beautiful and quiet pool area. We were a small family of four who thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, both with the large, clean, stylish rooms (only suites) with their own private pool, also during the exceptionally good breakfast and lunch - and at their spa. The service and friendliness of the staff is superb, even by Thai standards. So, in short: why go to Cape Nidhra? Because it is a smaller and more personal hotel with a high standard, the location in Hua Hin (walking distance to most everything and right on the beach) and not least the wonderful staff at the hotel.

We stayed for a week at the Cape Nidhra in Hua Hin recently and I would highly recommend the hotel for several reasons. The room was up there with one of the best we have stayed in - it had everything you could wish for including a pool on the balcony! There was so much space with a seating area, a desk, a huge shower, a bath and a large balcony. The quality of the towels and the bedding was superior and the toiletries were lovely, very aromatic and synonymous with the Far East. Breakfast was exceptional with the best view that you could wish for! The fruit section was wonderful with a member of the team on hand to slice whatever you chose freshly for you which meant the tastes were incredible. The choice was vast with a range of eastern dishes, eggs and savoury treats as well as any type of sweet treat you desired. The juice was freshly squeezed and the sparkling wine was chilled! All in all, I really looked forward to breakfast every day. The pool area is lovely with guys on hand to help with anything you need and every so often, they bring round little treats like fruit kebabs, ice cream and little desserts as well as lemon water on hand whenever you want it. Drinks can be ordered from your sunbed too so it makes for a very chilled atmosphere. We had dinner there one night which was lovely and then the all you can eat BBQ following a cocktail party hosted by the manager. The events were really enjoyable as there were also some of the local residents booked in for the BBQ that evening which was really enjoyable. Overall, we had such a fabulous stay in this hotel.

I have been to Huahin many times but thus time we chose Cape Nidra for our holidays. The room is very huge and has a private pool in every room. The bed is very comfy and very quiet at nighttime. The curtain is 100 black out so no light can get through the window which is perfect for me. I love the bathroom. The size is almost half of the room but very good design function. The closet can open from 2 sides. One from the entrance of the room so when you get into the room you can open closet and hang your clothes and another side is from the bathroom. When I finished shower, I don't have to walk outside bathroom to get dress. The amenities in the bath room is good too.
The pool at the balcony is perfect size for dipping before going to swim in the main swimming pool. For my room, I can walk from the pool direct to shower room, so I will not make my bedroom floor wet. And it's very private. The good thing of main swimming pool is the water is warm not like others hotel. Have a lot of sun loungers around the pool and a courtyard at beachfront.
Breakfast is hotel standard but the quality of the foods is amazing. Good cheese and cold cut. I love crispy bacon and one thing that you should try is lemon marmalade from their own farm! It's very yummy, and I bought back home for my breakfast at home.
Staffs are very well-trained. Everything that I need just call the reception and they will arrange to my room. And they have security guard walk around hotel to check safety every hour. All the staffs can remember all the guests.
Overall, Cape Nidra is my favourite in Huahin now. Good service, Good food and Good accommodation.

The rooms at Cape Nidhra Hotel Hua Hin do not have a sea view, but you can easily walk to the beach in just a few steps. Alternatively, you can enjoy a drink at the On the Rocks Bar, where you can take in the beautiful sea view.
They do a Christmas Dinner but we booked elsewhere and went into the town. The entertainment is mainly one guy - again I would suggest going into the town.
