Room was huge. Included a large fridge, with ice box, so ideal for cold drinks. Very old tv though; no idea if it worked, didn't switch it on. There was a kettle, but coffee was chargeable at 20 baht per sachet. seemed a bit mean to charge for the coffee.

Bathroom was fine, water was warm as opposed to hot. Soap was not replenished though during four night stay.

Balcony faced the mountain, all rooms were on this side of the hotel.

Easy walk from the train station, and only a 10 minute walk to the beach or town centre.

Breakfast was buffet, with fairly simple choice, but enough. Coffee very strong, but real. Never had any problems finding a table at breakfast; surprising, given that there weren't many for a hotel of this size.

Pool was out of action for most of the stay, as the pump was not working. This had not been disclosed at time of booking, and would have ben an issue if the beach were not close by.

Reception couldn't really answer any questions, but kindly printed something for me without charging.

In summary, a little money spent could improve this hotel no end. It still represents reasonable value as-is, and I would definitely consider staying here if returning to Hua Hin.

We had room 631 with the large deck as we were spending quiet a few nights at the Citin Loft. As we have stayed here before , all the staff knew us and we knew what to expect. Our room was spotlessly cleaned each day, beach towels also provided. We organised our own breakfast most of the time either in our room or off the premises. The wifi connection was patchy so we just sat out in our corridor when we needed to contact family and friends back home. Coming back from the beach and being hot and sweaty it was refreshing to feel the breeze in the reception area with all the windows open and the fans on. The air conditioning is a bit ancient and yes noisy. We slept most nights with the balcony doors open to get some fresh air. During late afternoon we had our room door open plus the deck doors open and we had a great cross breeze. The people in the soi are all very friendly and helpful. We left our washing with the laundry lady just across from the Citin Loft steps. There is a small shop to your left which sold cheaper alcohol and snacks. Several stalls are set up to the left selling pork . The soi is narrow and if you do rent a vehicle you can park it across from the hotel in the Red Cross car park. Or there is a very large car park area just before soi 78 on the highway. We parked here most of the time and never had any problems with our rented vehicle. You are basically in the middle of town , soi 80 which is behind soi 78, has some bars and restaurants. I must mention Krua restaurant on the main highway just around the corner from the Citin Loft. We have eaten here many times over the years and their squid dishes are still generous and delicious and their Massaman chicken is still the tastiest i have eaten in Thailand.

To finish of the Citin Loft is a 3 star hotel, it is honest was very inexpensive for us staying from early January till the 22nd April 2013. We get on very well with all the staff and have a lot of time for all of them.

Good centrally located hotel near Hua Hin Raiways Station and the night market but the hotel is a disaster in terms of maintenance. The rooms are vast but many elements are either broken or outdated. There is a TV that is huge and easily 35 years old. The digital key of my room was not working and I needed assistance each time I wanted to enter the room. Breakfast in included and acceptable evenso you do not have to expect much as the sausages, ham and pastas are very low quality. The hotel is expensive if you compare it with modern structures. A lot has to be done to improve the property.

We booked three weeks at the Hua Hin Loft Hotel and have enjoyed every day here. The receptionist is a truly lovely person, could not be more helpful. Breakfast staff also friendly and welcoming every morning. Cleaning staff so good and friendly. The hotel is so close to all amenities, less than a five minute walk to beach restaurants and nightlife, yet the hotel is so quiet. We have been coming to Hua Hin for many years and now will make this hotel our No.1 Thank you to receptionist and all staff. William

I have just spent 5 nights at this hotel and on fourth day had money stolen out of safe in room. involved police forensics cid etc etc. Manager waste of space also since this has happened to me i have found out that same hotel in hua hin pattaya and bangkok people have reported money etc going missing out of safe deposit box's in room's. I shall not be letting this go unnoticed and i am fortunate that we have purchased house in hua hin to which we shall be moving in next month which give's me the opportunity to persue this case and make sure everyone get's to know about this dodgy hotel and their dodgy owner and manager's and staff. There are CCTV camera's on every floor but manager said owner would not give him password to view tape's BOLLOCK"S It is as simple as this they have some kind of scam going in this hotel may be reasonable to stay there but they get there money back by stealing of customer's
DO NOT DO NOT WHAT EVER YOU DO BOOK THIS HOTEL ANY WHERE

Pleasant memories last long but the unpleasant ones you NEVER forget !
You plan and go on a holiday to have a good time, experience a different
culture and come back home refrshed and in a good mood, NOT to be robbed !

The HUA HIN LOFT Hotel, in Hua Hin, Thailand .

One day, during our stay at this hotel, in central Hua Hin, we and a couple of
friends we invited to spend some time with us , and for whom we booked a room
at the same hotel, went on a trip to some caves outside town.

Everybody at the reception saw the taxi that picked us and got an idea we were going
to be away for most of the day. It was a nice trip, which turned ugly when we returned.

Our friends were the first to notice that, during our absence, some body had enterd their
room, opened the safe, went through some money enevelopes and took banknotes from
all three, 450 € and 100 $ . When they came an d told us about it, we opened our safe
( into which the note on the back of the door suggested to keep our valuables ), to find
out that a 200 € was missing ! ( though not the Thai Baht !!!)

I contacted the reception only to notice that they were not at all surprised ! Not a raised
eyeybrow, nothing. After I repeated the question several time, I was told that “ It had
happened before !”

The police came, took copies of our passports, listened to what we had to say, even came into the room and looked at the safe, but took no fingerprints !

They said they would be back the next morning, which they...did not. When we asked how long
were we going to wait, we were told to go to the police station.

During breakfast, I had talked to other guests and two of them, having separate rooms, checked thier belongings only to find out that about 200 €, in small bank-notes were missing from their
safes, too. ( These two persons had also been on a trip, during the same day )

One of the police officers we, including the last mentioned British tourists, talked to, told us – when we mentioned the name of the hotel that “ It happened before , at this hotel !”

After some time at the police station, we got a written report – in Thai -, of the happeninings,
to translate and show to our ensurance companies in the hope to get some compensation.

Communication in English is, in general, difficult, very frustating and, consequently, inefficient !

It proved to be just as inefficient and ( almost ) pointless when I insisted to talk to the manager
of the hotel ; with difficulty, I got a phone number in Bangkok and, after an impolite number of calls, I got in contact with a person ( Ahmed by name, it seems ), who

1. asked me to prove that I had money in the safe (!) To this I replied that thre were three more
tourists who had had the same experience, the same day, the same “style”, the same “safe” model that can be opened , and closed, without by “ somebody” , who seems to be experienced and ,supposedly, pretty rich by now !

2. When I made a poit of the fact that I paid for the room to sleep in it and keep my personal things, SAFE, while I am on the beach or in town, the above mentioned person – in his managerial position only told me, time and time again, that – in accordance with the law -,
I have the right to take the case to the authorities.

I attach a picture of the notice on the inside of the hotel room

I also attache a picture of the police repport we got.

Finally, I mention the fact that the safety-boxes in the reception could not be used ; they
did not have a key / keys , or the boxes could not be locked. How conveniently !
