Top value, nice rooms, very accommodating and pleasant staff, decent (complimentary) breakfast, good wifi (free) in room, great locale - there is little more that can be added to enhance your stay. It's a 3.5 star property that delivers a 5 star experience.

Baan Pa Ploy is one of the best 3 star hotels in Hua Hin. If we go to Hua Hin we always stay at this hotel. Our reasons for this are: nice and neat rooms equipped with all amenities, perfect service, very friendly and helpful management and staff. The choice of breakfast is included in the room rate. The hotel is about a 5 minutes walk from the beach and all facilities are in the immediate vicinity. Warmly recommended!

Stayed 4 nights and despite a glitch just after unpacking and having a shower (water going to the room below), everything was sorted in 10 minutes and from then on the hotel was perfect.

The rate was good and included breakfast which deserves a special mention as the menu was vast for an included breakfast and everything was cooked fresh to order and included tea and juice.

The small balcony proved useful too as it came with a wooden drying rack which, to be honest, I have not seen in any other Thai hotel before.

While close to many bars and restaurants, it is surprisingly quiet and sleeping on the very comfortable bed proved no problem at all.

The staff were friendly and efficient and I would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.

The Baan Pa Ploy hotel is in a great location in downtown Hua Hin. It is close to many bars, restaurants, shops, banks and markets along with being only 3 or 4 minutes walk from the beach. Despite its location, it is still very quiet. You can walk to and from the minivan stop/drop-off point in a few minutes and it is only a 10/20 THB songthaew ride from Hua Hin's shopping malls, central bus station and main tourist attractions. The check-in/check-out process was done with courtesy in a couple of minutes.

The rooms and common areas at the Baan Pa Ploy Hotel are very clean and extremely well-maintained. The room includes 2 free bottles of water, tea/coffee, a kettle, a safe and some free toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and large and there also a sofa and a desk. The TV has many channels and the WIFI worked very well when I stayed. The bathroom was very clean with a hot and powerful shower. The room offers a good view of the nearby streets and the town.

I had the breakfast every morning and it is very tasty, filling and well-presented.It offers a choice from a menu as well as toast, fruit, tea/coffee and juice which are brought to the table.

The room was more than enough for a couple given the large amount of storage space and the big room. The Baan Pa Ploy Hotel represents a real bargain for what it provides. I must mention the helpful staff who dealt with all my queries, provided excellent advice about sightseeing trips around Hua Hin, gave me an umbrella when it was raining and gave me a carry bag as a takeaway gift upon checkout. Next time I'm in Hua Hin, I am planning to stay there again.

The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and overall I felt safe and comfortable at the Baan Pa Ploy. The only issue with the rooms was the small balconies which looked out on to another person's balcony and I could see right into their bedroom so it is imperative you close the curtains when staying in a Deluxe room here. Breakfast is adequate if basic but this is what you'd expect in an economy hotel like this one.

The best thing about this hotel for me was the location. It is right on the doorstep of the main nightlife area and a short walk from the beach and other attractions like the pier, cicada market and railway station.

What was most disappointing was the Wifi, which stopped working for hours on end several times over the course of my 9 night stay. This will probably stop me returning here unless I receive reliable assurances that this problem is rectified.

This is a small (think 18 bedrooms) Thai owned/managed hotel that offers value for money in an excellent location.

I have stayed several times. It saddens me to see reviewers complaining about the breakfast and service. For goodness sake what do they expect, Centara standards when they are paying a small fraction of the price.

For around US $40 for a standard room up to US $60 for the much larger 'junior suite' one gets a smart, clean, adequately furnished room with an en-suite bathroom with hot shower. Included will be a breakfast that can comprise eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, toast with jam/butter, fruit juice and tea or coffee.

Please do not expect the Thai staff to be fluent in English or even sometimes to understand unusual requests from those who themselves are not fluent in English. Those looking for 5* service would need to relocate and pay accordingly......and still possibly be disappointed if trying to vary the content of a set menu.

As always in Thailand, treat the staff, and management, with friendly respect and this will inevitably be reciprocated. If there is any problem or misunderstanding remain calm and be patient. Smile and the odds are that satisfaction will ensue.

We have stayed here before and my impressions of the supercilious attitude from staff have not changed ... so I am surprised to read one or two positive reviews on this subject. However, I do know that many tourists bend over backwards to be co-operative and 'nice' to their hosts and will overlook any shortcomings with big, ingratiating and sickly smiles ... so you'll need to judge for yourself!

Yes, the hotel is very good. Yes, rooms are spotless. Yes, breakfast is quite reasonable. I do not think that the hotel is overpriced. So ... what?

For starters, the very clearly given impression that WE are an inconvenience ... and almost resented for actually being there. Don't we know that they are successful, well off, busy with their own affairs ... and therefore being polite and welcoming to their guests is beneath them ... as illustrated by their total disinterestedness and lack of concern for anything that does not concern THEM? Maybe it's just me. But I don't think so. The more astute among you have experienced elsewhere precisely what I mean. Looking down noses is a national obsession.

However, we enjoyed our stay ... Hua Hin is looking very clean, neat and quite 'chic' nowadays!

Very good hotel. I wondered around for a while trying to find something decent and was glad I came across this hotel. The lady at reception was superb, presented me room 303 (opposite lift on 3rd floor) and before I knew it I agreed to 3 nights. The hotel was clean, rooms excellent, TV channels good, breakfast good (get in early) - Could hear a bit of street traffic however this was to be expected being in the centre of town. Close to beach, shops, banks, bars etc. - All up was an excellent hotel and great value. Will be back! (Hotel staff where tremendous from the owner, to the beauty pageant girl with the best smile, friendly house keeping...good)
