This is a one night stay that you have to do if you are on the Two Day slow boat tour to Laos. Hotel is organized when checking you in. However, always, always, be the first one at the counter, other wise you will be given a worse room. Thy provide dinner at the local bar. Rice and Veg. They...

Scam!! Don't change money at the portside hotel in chiang khong!! We booked the slow boat tour from chiang mai with terminal green (get with wild travel and different tourist companies. They all gather to one or two agencies, ask which one). The tour was well organized, but one thing really pissed me off. On the second day, everyone gathers...

We booked a minibus from Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong and the package included a hotel for the night. We arrived after midnight and were shown to our room which was on the top floor up some very steep stairs by the driver. Well the room consisted of two mattresses on the floor with a bottom sheet and a single...

If you are here is just becouse you have to cross the border to Laos with a slow boat. So the crossing birder costs 35 us$, you need a picture and in the border and just after there is ATM and official bank exchange. So do not change money in the hotel. The hotel is a place for 1 night....

Old and smelled a bit funny. Sheets seemed a bit dirty and the mattress was too big for the bed frame. The air con had a lock on it and you had to pay extra to use it, although the fan was fine for that time of year (October). The bathroom was absolutely tiny and also smelled funny. We didn't...

With bedspreads sticking through the one thin sheet and a fleecy blanket on top you will not get much sleep here. The manager Kwan really couldn't care less whether you are happy here or not. Normally tours on the slow boats to Laos stay here and there is that constant stream of backpackers who couldn't care less about clean sheets,...

We didn't choose this hotel, it was part of the package tour we paid to get the slow boat the Luang Prabang. The hotel manager was very friendly and gave us really clear instructions about timings for the crossing to Laos. The room was basic and a bit grimy and the bed was not very clean. That being said it...

We booked the slowboat from Chiang Mai included the bus and 2 nights and we ended up here with a professional welcome and goodbye. Instructions what to do and don't are very clear regarding the bordercrossing. Rooms are outdated and cleanish but overall perfect for just 1 night.

The hotel in general is very poor, the food was rubbish, the beds were dirty, the shower was cold..apart from this the hotel is in a good location if your staying here in order to cross into Laos. The hotel owner was very helpful with information on Laos!
