This quaint little hostel sits about 2 km from the centre of Chiang Rai but is one of the best and cheapest options you'll find with no compromises. A fan double with ensuite costs just 260 baht and was comfortable and spacious. There are an abundance of eating/ chilling areas, free tea, coffee and bananas and even a toaster and...

I really liked this place. Its off the center in a regular Thai neighborhood. Next to it is a green area with many trees and you can hear the birds sing all day. All the openings had screens so with little traffic in the area it was nice to sleep with the windows open. Do get a scooter if you...

The GH was okay to stay there for two nights. I cannot complain about the rooms, however it is a little bit far out for a casual walk. With a scooter however, it is no problem. They call the company for you. Also getting a taxi to fetch us was organized by the owners without a problem.

If it would not be for the sometimes not working WiFi and bit careless stagg, I would not hesitate to give 5*. It is cheap as, clean, satellite TV, ensuite fan room in quiet location with comfortable beds and hot shower.. 260B is a bargain. If you are super picky about your food and cannot eat in local restaurants or...

Do not do not stay here! The beds are stiff as boards. The closest restaurant is a (generous) 15 minutes walk away, and the town is 35 minutes walk away. Most tuk tuk drivers have no idea where you are talking about and unless you have an interactive map you won't get back to your room. Budget is one thing....

Hard beds hard pillow and you can hear everyone come and go. There is no where close to get something to eat. I was very cold my first night and it was difficult to get an extra blanket the next day. Young man at reception was very pleasant.

My girlfriend and I stayed one night in a double room with fan. Nothing should stop you going there except that it is a little bit outside of the main area (but you can easily walk to the city center or take a tuk tuk). On a plus side, it is situated in a lane far from the traffic. The...

Now I know this is a budget hotel, but that does not mean your experience has to be budget. My wife and I stayed here for 2 days, it is terribly out of the way from the centre of town. Rooms are very basic, yet adequate. The atmosphere is somewhat dull and the information on the table is terribly outdated....

The rooms were quite cool without needing fan or air con. We had a private balcony. The outside chillout garden is a beautiful space. I really loved that the guest house had a shared kitchen space with microwave, urn and free tea, coffee and Milo! I have stayed here twice and next time I'm in Chiang Rai I'll stay again....

I am a frequent traveller in Thailand, but it was my worst guesthouse experience ever. I arrived at night, - first they didn´t know of any booking, I ended up in a tiny half-cleaned room on the first floor. It was impossible to sleep due to the noise from the pig slaughterhouse and a sawmill or some kind of workshop,...
