Good sized rooms with nice en suites. Western style toilets. Good shower pressure and temperature. Comfy bed. But avoid room A5 if possible - noisy next to the water heater. Really friendly and helpful staff, especially the lovely receptionist who is on the day shift. Free tea, coffee and water.

This hotel is tucked away off the main Street from the clock tower, near the bus station. It is clean and we'll located. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good choice for a base near the centre and the bus station.

Maybe after writing that title, I don't need to write the review. I stayed in this hotel two months ago and have been meaning to write how much I enjoyed it. The owner is named Pokie and she runs this guesthouse extremely well. The staff hours are a bit unusual as the day staff leave at 6:00 pm and the...

First, the most important thing about this hotel: The Staff Without them this is just another nice guesthouse. You will be genuinely welcomed and made to feel at home. I want to thank the wonderful (and beautiful) Liu at the front desk. Anoi and Sara who will keep your room cleaner than you clean your own home when your mother...

We stayed for one night, after a couple of nights at the neighbouring Baan Bua. On balance, I thought that Orchids was better. The rooms are crisp and clean, the wifi works in the rooms, the staff are really helpful. I left my plug and adaptor and the staff gave it to a local guide who caught up with us...

I lived in Chiang Rai province for a year in a village outside of town, so on weekends I would visit Chiang Rai. I stayed at Orchids every time. The beds are comfy, the A/C is good, the wifi is good, there are TVs with some English channels if you want to lounge, and the location is right in the...

The woman of the guesthouse speaks English. Wifi was not the best but it worked most of the times. There's no breakfast, lunch or dinner possible at the guesthouse. Every morning you get free water and there's free coffee, tea and chocolate. Rooms are very clean. And quite cheap. Separate beds and good working air conditioning.

The location of this guesthouse is convenient for the bus station and nightmarket and the room was very clean with a nice area outside to sit. The free tea/coffee and bananas were nice. Over the time I was there I spoke briefly to 2 men working there, both of whom were very friendly and helpful. On the downside I was...

Have been there with my sister for two days on the way from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang in July 2015 and paid 350 baht/night. The guest house is perfectly situated (a 5 minutes walk from the bus station in a quiet side street and within 3 minutes of the night market and the clock tower), clean and well equipped...
