We are considering a week at the Grand Pacific Sovereign Resort & Spa in January 16.
Reports indicate whilst the Hotel is very good it is also quite remote?
May we ask what is within walking distance of the Hotel and also how much a taxi is to Hua Hin?
Any recommendations on reliable taxi companies for a Bangkok to Cha Am or Hua Hi return with price?
Finally can you recommend a floor/room with a good sea view?

I have a vehicle so out of the way is not an issue. Quite honestly the sovereign is remote it is at the far end of the beach road. That being said it has tranquility but if you are looking for a run to 7/11 you would need to order a taxi bike. Also most seafood beachside under sunbrellas are at the oposite end of the beach road again you can walk the 1 or 2 km or so but taxi would be the way to go. From the hotel to Hua Hin it is a 20 to 30 minute drive if the meter was running it would likely cost about 400 baht but in a tourist destination it may be much much higher.
Hope this helps,
