This is the best hotel in Bangsaen for service, I had a talk with an expat operations executive coming to ask if I needed anything, and the security guard escorting us to our rooms was very helpful. Also FB is great, everything is delicious in breakfast line.
Though the room is quite old and dated but understandable given it's the first hotel in the city. But there were some bird poop (I guess) on the balcony which was quite disgusting, I tried to understand that the hotel was closed for sometime during Covid (given some areas are under renovation and maintenance) so might still not be 100% open with 100% of manpower yet. Also the landscape was quite messy.
Anyway, cleanliness is an important key as well, hope it will get better on my next stay!

PS. I think there are better choices with this price.

This hotel is ok at best
Booked 2 bedroom villa which was a long way from reception but you can use buggy for free . villa needs a lick of paint and some carpentry work done.
Breakfast ok
Swimming pool looks ok but when we tried to go for a swim we noticed pool not very clean.
Complained to reception but I think it fell on deaf ears.
Two attendants came out to clean the pool ,but not properly.
Used a fishing net to try and remove leaves from bottom of pool.they looked bemused and didn’t seem to know what they were doing.each time a pool attendant came to check on the condition of the pool they would say they would need to get a higher supervisor.3 supervisors later and still no way forward .
I told them to use special pool Hoover ,they must have one for a hotel this size was told it was being fixed.
Asked them when they last put chlorine tablet in pool and they said that morning but I don’t beleave them.should have asked to see work sheet.I have had ear and throat infections before by swimming in swimming pools that are not properly regulated and cleaned properly.my partner tried to dip her feet in shallow end of pool and slipped on algae that had formed on swimming pool step.the yellow slide had tape put across steps so you couldn’t use it
Now 11.00 am and nobody in pool or near it ,I think that tells you something.
The reason I’m making a big issue of the pool is that we only booked this hotel because it appeared to have a nice pool and we planned on spending a lot of our holiday time there but here I am instead in my room writing this review.guest in room 5203 if management want to comment

Pros: The pool maintenance is finally finished. Good location to the beach. Breakfast is good. Villas are clean and well spaced. Wifi worked well.

Cons: traffic noise at night, don't come here if you expect towels. We had to request hand towels daily, and they always got taken away and never replaced unless we called... more than once. Our friends were told they only get 1 towel per person. The beds are horribly hard and uncomfortable. The chairs on the deck are equally hard and uncomfortable. There is no place to sit in your room except the bed.

I would not stay here again.

Our stay at this villa was extremely disappointing. The property is run down and definitely not worth the price. The air conditioning was not working properly, and to make matters worse, the swimming pool was out of service during our stay.

We had to change rooms at 3 AM because of the faulty air conditioning, and despite this inconvenience, they refused to offer us a complimentary breakfast. The service was abysmal; the reception staff were clueless and unable to handle any problems.

To top it all off, we were abruptly informed at 10:30 AM that the electricity would be cut off and were forced to check out. Overall, the service was terrible, and we will not be returning. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

A very disappointing expectation unfolds in a gorgeous Agoda, a nice view, a 2115-dollar price. It's not cheap for a small room. There's no service at all. Own, breakfast is not included. It's nothing like a 500-dollar room. Very disappointing.
The bedrooms were narrow, uncomfortable, disappointed, the pool closed for renovation instead of a bit of a discount, we booked so we knew at check-in it would change too late.

We stayed 2 nights in a Villa Room (no breakfast). Probably should have read more reviews before arriving, cause we were given a VR at the far end of the hotel grounds ... and I can assure you it's big. Took us a decent walk (6-7min) to get to the reception/main entrance, and 10mins to get to the swimming pool. The "Villa" itself (basically 1 nice room and a bathroom) was OK, though it could do with a lick of paint and some carpentry at the outside. Excellent wifi. Very clean. Friendly staff.

Usually like to stay in a villa cabin to get away from noise in hotels but this was a poor choice. Besides being very dated the cabin bathroom sink facet fell out of the vanity, only one large towel provided, no toilet paper, bugs everywhere. Got a special $55 a night rate but could have better for $20 a night nearby.

luckliy stayed for 2 nights. pictures of the pool and lobby shows a nice hotel but we booked 2 bdrm villas, we had to get golf carts to and from and the further we drove away from the front lobby the worse things got. we arrived at what i would call a pretty rough looking and basic villa. when warned of the dogs roaming and maybe monkeys at night. the pool was great with the slide. but we were thankful we only stayed 2 nights

I really liked this hotel but unfortunately the bed was not the best for me. The hotel is clean, friendly staff, nicely appointed and well maintained. The room was nice but the bed sits on a platform. Without the traditional clearance from the floor to the bed you have to sort of slide down to get off at the end of the bed. For me, a middle aged man, as well as my much younger girlfriend, this proved to be a challenge. It was also not comfortable so after a long drive this was disappointing.

Does this hotel have direct access to beach? or if there is any road in between the hotel and beach?
Answer from Anthony K

The hotel is directly opposite the beach. You can see the beach from the hotel. Just a road to cross to get there and traffic's not that bad actually. Cars will drive slow along that stretch so no worries.
Karin K asked a question May 2015
