Though the room is quite old and dated but understandable given it's the first hotel in the city. But there were some bird poop (I guess) on the balcony which was quite disgusting, I tried to understand that the hotel was closed for sometime during Covid (given some areas are under renovation and maintenance) so might still not be 100% open with 100% of manpower yet. Also the landscape was quite messy.
Anyway, cleanliness is an important key as well, hope it will get better on my next stay!
PS. I think there are better choices with this price.
Booked 2 bedroom villa which was a long way from reception but you can use buggy for free . villa needs a lick of paint and some carpentry work done.
Breakfast ok
Swimming pool looks ok but when we tried to go for a swim we noticed pool not very clean.
Complained to reception but I think it fell on deaf ears.
Two attendants came out to clean the pool ,but not properly.
Used a fishing net to try and remove leaves from bottom of pool.they looked bemused and didn’t seem to know what they were doing.each time a pool attendant came to check on the condition of the pool they would say they would need to get a higher supervisor.3 supervisors later and still no way forward .
I told them to use special pool Hoover ,they must have one for a hotel this size was told it was being fixed.
Asked them when they last put chlorine tablet in pool and they said that morning but I don’t beleave them.should have asked to see work sheet.I have had ear and throat infections before by swimming in swimming pools that are not properly regulated and cleaned properly.my partner tried to dip her feet in shallow end of pool and slipped on algae that had formed on swimming pool step.the yellow slide had tape put across steps so you couldn’t use it
Now 11.00 am and nobody in pool or near it ,I think that tells you something.
The reason I’m making a big issue of the pool is that we only booked this hotel because it appeared to have a nice pool and we planned on spending a lot of our holiday time there but here I am instead in my room writing this review.guest in room 5203 if management want to comment
Cons: traffic noise at night, don't come here if you expect towels. We had to request hand towels daily, and they always got taken away and never replaced unless we called... more than once. Our friends were told they only get 1 towel per person. The beds are horribly hard and uncomfortable. The chairs on the deck are equally hard and uncomfortable. There is no place to sit in your room except the bed.
I would not stay here again.
We had to change rooms at 3 AM because of the faulty air conditioning, and despite this inconvenience, they refused to offer us a complimentary breakfast. The service was abysmal; the reception staff were clueless and unable to handle any problems.
To top it all off, we were abruptly informed at 10:30 AM that the electricity would be cut off and were forced to check out. Overall, the service was terrible, and we will not be returning. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
The bedrooms were narrow, uncomfortable, disappointed, the pool closed for renovation instead of a bit of a discount, we booked so we knew at check-in it would change too late.
