The hotel, the location, the staff, the food, we fabulous, the air conditioning sadly was a little annoying, it worked for a time, but then randomly switched to heating mode. We were told the hotel is about to replace them. The food was lovely, and the staff were always there to help, and eating just feet away from the sea was a unique experience. Having our own pool was lovely, and having the mini bar replaced daily, a bonus. The massage staff were amazing, we went twice in a week, both times the result was worth the pain. The grounds were immaculate.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week over Chinese New Year and had a lovely time. The hotel is really made by the very helpful and friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay, bringing tea or coffee to your room in the morning and bringing a "treat" each afternoon.
The hotel is well maintained and in great condition throughout, we had a nice duplex room with a pool which had a view of the ocean from the bedroom but not from the lounge or pool area but it was nice to wake up and see the ocean. If you want to see the ocean from your pool you need a room on the front row.
The hotel breakfast was very good with a small buffet selection and a great choice of different breakfasts on the a la carte menu and again the team in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel doesn't really have its own beach as such, there is a small bit of beach available when the tide is out but this is no problem as you can still sit in the nice garden area and relax watching the ocean. As well as this hotel guests can use the beach at either of the two sister hotels just around the corner, we tried both and they were both very good.
The hotel itself is on a quiet stretch of road just a few minutes walk to numerous shops, bars and restaurants and Khaolak itself is an ideal place for couples and families as it is pretty quiet compared to some of the other places in Thailand.

From arrival to departure expect a very personal service. While the choices are check-in are a little daunting, choice of room scent, type of pillow, time of houskeeping and afternon tea, etc. It shows the attention to detail. Rooms are luxurious and very well appointed given the minimalist design. Breakfast is an adventure in fine dining, with a huge range of dishes cooked to order. "Casa New Day", a crab curry with noodles was one of the best dishes I tasted anywhere for any meal, let alone breakfast. The place has a very quiet feel, which was exactly what we wanted. The Spa is stunning and good value, again one of the best massage experiences I have ever had. The staff were universally excellent, too many names to mention them all, but Poppy, Fon and Tukta come to mind.
Location is a gentle 10 minute stroll into town, with a great variety of restaurants and bars. Just a few mins walk along the beach (at low tide) or the road, bring you to a nice quiet beach for a quick cheap drink or snack.
Having travellled to a number of resorts in Thailand, Khao Lak and this hotel completely exceeded our expectations, how can we go anywhere else now???

We absolutely loved our 10 night stay here in this quiet modern luxury hotel. We stayed in a duplex room for the first 7 nights which was very spacious, with a massive bath and double shower, big bed upstairs with a partial sea view, complimentary mini bar each day with cans of coke and sprite, beer, juice and water. We then moved to a beach front villa for 3 nights which had a lovely view of the sea. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels etc, staff were all friendly and helpful in whatever we needed. We were half board and the food was delicious, it’s a short walk to some lovely little shops and restaurants I would recommend Pinocchio’s Italian. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to their sister hotels Le Vela and La Flora which have more of a beach and also nice food if you fancy a change of scenery. We had a great massage at the spa and we ordered a floating breakfast in our private pool at an extra cost. We loved everything about this place and will hopefully return in the future.

We have just returned from a fabulous 10 day stay at Casa De La Flora. This resort is a 90 minute transfer from Phuket Airport.
When we booked this resort through our agent, Trailfinders, we were told that the resort had been closed for renovations but we be open in time for our arrival on 18th December. However, on arrival we were welcomed by a very apologetic Liw, who informed us that our room which was to be the seafront pool villa suite would not be available for a few days, and that they had no alternative room they could offer until the next day. They offered to transfer us the 5 minute drive to a much larger sister hotel where our stay for one night would be all inclusive. The next morning we were taken back to Casa De La Flora and were given a very nice temporary room which was a duplex pool villa, at this stage we were told that our seafront room would be available in around 4 days. In compensation the resort would offer us full all inclusive accommodation along with free spa treatments which was very generous, therefore we used the superb resort restaurant every night.
On Christmas Day we were transferred to our original room choice which had just been completed. This suite with the sea view is truly magical, especially the great sunsets just after 6pm at this time of year. The rooms are finished to an incredibly high standard with the bathroom areas particularly special. The private pool, decked area and double sun bed at the seafront pool suite villa was fabulous. Two large smart TV’s with Netflix, YouTube and a large number of international TV channels was also great. We used the spa for massage treatments 3 times, were welcomed by lovely staff and treated by very professional masseuses. This is definitely a must do if you are staying.
The resort restaurant is fabulous with a very extensive menu. There is traditional Thai food but also great fish dishes, and even fish and chips and great pizza’s.
Access to the long sandy beach is in front of the restaurant, we walked through the warm sea water for an hour towards the north every day, we only covered around half of the distance to the furtherest point in this time, the beach is very long, soft sand and largely deserted.
Finally, apart from the location, stunning views, great accommodation and superb restaurant, it is the very special staff who make this resort what it is. Particular mention to Liw and also Im, Yui, Poppy and May in the restaurant.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort.

This is an absolutely beautiful wonderful resort for people who want some peace & quiet, far from the maddening crowd.
My husband & I stayed in a duplex pool suite. We received our welcome drink on arrival & later in the room, a fruit platter. The room had a musky smell upon entry but dissipated after a while.
I had my dinner at la aranya on the 1st night when I arrived & subsequently, breakfast in the mornings. Food in the restaurant was delicious & presentable. The only thing was the language barrier. I wanted a buttering knife & went to ask a waitress for it & she thought I wanted butter.
The view by the restaurant was breathtaking. The endless stretch of the Andaman Sea in front of you. Occasionally, depending on the waves, there would be strong splashes of water when the waves crashed against the sea well.
The room was splendid! 1st floor was a spacious living area & toilet & shower area. Outside was a private plunge pool. The upper level was the bedroom with a balcony & a long bathroom with a big bathtub. Satellite TV reception was spotty. Wifi signal was best on the upper floor where the router was. Toiletries were from Thann, the shop that sells local natural skincare & aromatherapy products.
The hotel is very quiet & exclusive. It is away from the hustle and bustle of traffic & shopping malls. Thus, if you want to buy stuff, you either get a taxi or take a 8-min walk out to the main road.
As my flight was in the late evening, I asked for late checkout & was granted till 2pm. I was told that the luggage could be left at the reception & collected after lunch. Staff also suggested that we could freshen up at the spa. That was a very kind offer. A departure drink was given when we checked out.
Overall, I’m quite happy with my stay. Kudos to all the polite staff on property who made my stay a pleasant one.

We spent 6 nights here at the end of our 7 night star clipper cruise, it’s peaceful, tranquil and in a great location. Khao Lak is charming - people are friendly and the sunsets are incredible. We stayed on the marble queen suite, which has its own roof terrace and infinity pool as well as a double bath and shower room and walk in closet. The spa is exceptional and staff there very gifted.

I stayed for 11 nights and travelled alone so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But I was overwhelmed by the staff kindness and helpfulness. I ate at the restaurant most nights as I didn’t want to be out alone and the staff always reserved me the same table and went out of their way to chat and look after me. I cannot name all of the wonderful staff but the hotel should be proud to have employed such amazing people. I also made a friend in the hotel’s one eyed cat. I got her tuna and fed her most nights, much to the amusement of my fellow guests. The hotel is small and I heard some complaints about it not being lively enough but there was live music 4 tines during my stay and the couple singing were great. There were also loads of restaurants and gift shops, etc within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There is no beach (well maybe for 2-3 hours a day) but a 5 minute walk down the road (turn left outside the hotel) will take you to one. I initially stayed in a pool villa (basic) which was lovely but, after asking for a tour of the other rooms, I fell I love with the beach front suite so upgraded to that for my last 7 nights. I cannot emphasise enough what a fantastic holiday I had despite the Coronavirus issue. I will definitely be back. I loved my stay ❤️

Case de la Flora is an outstanding boutique resort. The rooms are super comfortable, great showers, nice treats with the turn down, and high quality toiletries. The public areas are great with a choice of lounging beside the sea or at the very nice pool. There are two happy hours each day which makes the drinks very competitive with the outside options (try the cucumber margarita or passion fruit daiquiri).
A big positive is the amazing breakfast with a large choice of a la Carte options including beef tenderloin, quesadillas, stir fry’s, omelettes, salads and more traditional options. The a la Carte options are supplemented by a buffet and every day there is Prosecco on offer.
The resort is very well managed - the manager was visible and friendly plus open to suggestions. The staff were all very friendly and service oriented. This is one of the best resorts we have visited and can highly recommend. While a little more expensive than other options, it represents great value for money.
Highly recommended. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.

The Staff make this place so special. From the time we arrived to the time we left they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Poppy, Emmy,Apple ,Peach and Natty amongst the many staff who made this an exceptional holiday. Loved the morning cup of tea in bed and the afternoon treat.
