Amazing staff (Helen was wonderful) beautiful scenery and low key atmosphere. Ilboru is an excellent jumping off point for Kilimanjaro and safari adventures. I will definitely return next time I visit Tanzania.

This lodge is a great place to stay for a night or longer while in Arusha. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and even offer a lovely terrace outside each room. The pool is great and the food even better.

Very nice property, clean rooms, good food, most excellent staff! Entertainment Saturday night was amazing! A must in Arusha is the Cultural Heritage Center!! Be aware it closes at 5. Missing the Stoney Tangawizi!

Nice property but the food was sub standard. The service was friendly but much of the staff seemed inexperienced. One day we had no hot water but they did quickly send someone to fix it. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at Ilboru lodge on our first night in Arusha before setting out on a six day safari. The rooms were simple but well appointed with large windows and access to a small garden. The pool setting was lovely with lots of green and pool-side bar service. The dining room was large with great selection of...

Our first hours in Africa and Arusha... After all those bumpy roads we were glad we arrived here! Beautiful complex, friendly staff. The large swimming pool was a real surprise! Our room was sooo cosy, the bathroom was a bit old, but there was everything we needed. Nice patio outside. Diner and breakfast were really delicious! Nice place to start...

The rooms and pool were great and the staff was very friendly. We stayed two nights at the lodge before our trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro and then the night after. Our only disappointment was that the food choices were very western- we were really hoping to get some authentic Tanzanian food while visiting.

We had a 3-days meeting at Ilboru Safari Lodge and it was great! Good customer service (friendly and quick), excellent food, great conference hall with workshop materials, timely tea breaks and nice comfy rooms. Even though we had to work long hours it felt like being in heaven: enjoying the beautiful garden and the lounche spots next to the pool!

“The rooms are pretty plain jane. Though there was a comfortable queen bed with mosquito netting and a small desk, other furniture was scarce, e.g. no chair or sofa and there was nowhere in the bathroom to put any toiletries, not even a toothbrush. Only two bottles of water provided per day and they were the smallest of any of the places we stayed over three weeks. There were two deck chairs but no table to put between them, and you couldn't use them in the evening due to bugs. ”
