The Karama lodge made us feel like we were out in the wild (you could hear every sound, feel like you're in a tent) with running water and electricity. The view from the bar is spectacular, but I would recommend this as more of a couples' get-away than a family or group spot. Each room is secluded with it's own...

This lodge was our introduction to lodge accommodation before our Serengetti adventure. We thought it was an attractive location in the trees, with both the common areas (lounge and dining room) and individual rooms being of a high standard. Each cabin had a sizeable balcony area looking out to the hills opposite. The layout of our cabin was a bit...

I spent one night here before heading out on a safari tour. It is slightly away from town in a quiet spot on a hill. The individual cabins are cute and comfortable. It is nothing too fancy, but very nice and all have a small balcony. The natural sounds were lovely to fall asleep and wake up to. The bed...

We stayed here for three nights during June. The layout is stunning; it was lovely having our own individual cabin. The décor is lovely and characterful, with organic home made shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms. The restaurant meals were good, if a little limited in choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. It felt like somewhere very different and...

I spent a night at Karama Lodge with some friends in June. It was lovely to get away from day to day life in Arusha. The meals were great, and the cabins had a lot of personality - my bed was very comfortable too. It was cold - if you are planning of staying in June/July bring warm clothes.

Karama Lodge is up on a hillside in what feels like you're "out of town", but it really is close enough to everything we needed in Arusha, yet VERY quiet and secluded from the hustle-bustle of the city. This place is a gem, landscaping-wise, but even more so due to the care from the staff. Every member of the staff,...

Is a peaceful place, the food is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable. Perfect place to honeymoon or second honey moon. The best experience. We went last year and I can say that it was the best experience. If it was possible, I would like to repeat this experience.

stayed at karama Lodge for a total of 5 nights over the course of 3 weeks in February, prior to climbing Kilimanjaro and before/after a 5 night safari. First of all, if you are looking for a luxury resort, don't stay here. This is more along the lines of an "Eco Lodge." That said, the cabins are nice, with hot...

The rooms, amenities, and scenery of Karama Lodge are all very nice and make for a relaxing stay before or after a safari. We liked our bungalow-style room on the side of the hill, the restaurant/bar was delicious, and there are vervet monkeys roaming the grounds (you will be warned to keep your balcony door closed so they don't steal...

Lodge is located in a very green environment on a hill. There were many steps in a relatively steep climb to our cabin. The cabin looked quite large on the outside, but inside the room to manouvre is small. It was not really quiet during our stay as one picks up sounds from the nearby road and much barking of...
