This is a lovely hotel where we happily spent a couple of nights. The pool area is clean and pretty. The food is good and the staff are really helpful, organising taxis and helping sort out trips. The location is central so you can easily walk around the main town. I would happily stay here again

The historic hotel and its beautiful gardens (visit with mosquito repellent) is well-located, in front of the Clock Tower and a couple of blocks from the Museum of Natural History, the International Conference Center, and a big Maasai souvenir Market . I just think that USD 24 for their dinner buffet is a little overpriced (for local standards) so try...

Arusha is a very busy, bustling, dusty city, traffic can come to a standstill, street vendors can be relentless, you can easily get lost, but the moment you get inside the gates at the Arusha Hotel, all is well. I've stayed there twice now and yes, like other reviewers have said, it does need a renovation, but overall it's still...

One of the oldest hotels in East Africa, The Arusha Hotel was founded in 1894, halfway between Cairo and Cape Town, this halfway point now marked by a famous clock tower in the circle immediately across from the hotel, has attracted high profile visitors for decades and the hotel is proud to be the place where John Wayne stayed during...

Arrived at Kilimanjaro airport in the afternoon, flying out of Arusha airport the next morning. Thought we'd have a chance to see the a little of Arusha but traffic was so dreadful that it was night by the time we arrived and we were exhausted. The hotel was hopping with lots of people at the bar and restaurant area. We...

Roaches ran from Air Conditioner when we turned it on. Rooms needing upgrades. Passage ways dirty and had overflowing trash cans. Interior and exterior needs paint. Staff was great! Property looks tropical and inviting from the main road. Nearest hotel to Parris Island.

Had the occasion to stay at this hotel two different times in one month. I experienced two different rooms -- both which were comfortable: very good beds, room size, a/c, good bathroom facilities, chairs, coffee/tea in room, with windows or balcony overlooking beautiful grounds. The bathrooms could use some updating from an aesthetic perspective; however, from the functionality--it was great!...

We stayed at the Arusha Hotel for two nights preceding our safari, and two nights at the end of our safari. Love the historical aspects of this hotel; however, the rooms, especially the bathrooms need some work, The first room we stayed in had a leak under the toilet. I got up in the middle of the night to go...

The Arusha Hotel is a good address to rest from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff is really friendly and very professional and always tries to accomodate the guests needs (special thanks to Mathew, Ambuj, Edwin and all the waiters at the restaurant). The lobby area is great, with many sofas and a Boulangerie Cafe that serves great...

My husband & I stayed here on the start of our 7 night Simba Safari. The surrounding area outside the hotel was a mess & if you venture out of the hotel you get hassled on every corner. The rooms were dimly lit but clean & comfortable but our room overlooked a yard piled with rubbish so no view to...
