Kiboko Lodge is part of the Watoto Foundation, founded by former retail director Noud and Truus van Hout from The Netherlands. The foundation works to educate street children in Tanzania since 2003. Watoto Foundation is a vocational training centre. Children who suffer from addiction to drugs, glue and alcohol are given the opportunity to build a new life. The Foundation offers them the chance for an education, which will equip them with the necessary skills to find a job. This is unique in a country where 70% of the population are unemployed. Staying at Kiboko Lodge is possible from $89 per person during high season and $75 per person in low season!

No matter if you just want to relax, do safari or even homeoffice - the Kiboko Lodge is your place to go. Due to Covid my safari got cancelled and I stayed 9 nights at here. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms beautiful and with a private atmosphere and the food simply amazing. The fruits you get with every meal grow in the garden (couldn't get enough of the acocados) and the cooks, which are former street children. Hopefully it was not the last visit for me! Ps: The sight of the Mount Meru, Bone fires under the stars and birds (once even a big turtle) in the yard are just some examples for what make this lodge so exceptional ;) Asante kwa kila kitu!

Perfect place and perfect and very friendly staff. We could discuss what to eat with lunch and dinner and they worked our wishes perfectly out. Having breakfast outside the theahouse is amazing. There where to many clouds to see the Kilimanjaro but Mount Meru was often visible. The bumpy road to the entrance of Arusha NP took us 25 minutes. We missed in the park the B&W Colobus monkeys so we have to come back once. The plastic bridge made of recycled materials is a token of the environmental friendlyness of this Lodge. And the awareness of the staff of climate change and the influence on tourism in Tanzania is memorable

Very nice place to start the journey. We came late and received a welcome juice. Great rooms very clean and organized. The service and people are awesome! We did the village walking tour. Really recommended by us! Not intensive and good to do. After the Lunch we did the mountain bike tour, 2 hours of biking everything off-road! Kinda though but it is worth it, great experience. Bottom line: We recommend this.

A wonderful green oasis to recharge your batteries and forget about everything else. We stayed three nights after our safari and it was just what we needed. Kiboko lodge is run by Frank and Joyce who are the most welcoming couple. Our wonderful host Tecla made us feel at home at every turn. The food here is excellent! Edward is a super talented chef who surprised us with new flavors every day. A recommendation for the mountain biking with Japhet, who took us on a fun and sportive half day -trip.

With the view of Mount Meru, a wonderful small and quiet place /lodge managed by nice and competent people. 2 or 3 nights without noises and stress, enjoying the birds and the landscape. This experience will bring you lots of positive effects for your soul and life. The lodge is a creation of a foundation which helps young girls and boys to receive an education in the tourism branch. What's a marvelous combination.
