We arrived after a hair raising single engine flight from Nairobi. I did wonder if we'd crashed and this was heaven. The service and friendly welcome with lovely cool towels and a yummy drink were just the start. The grounds are beautiful and the gardener obviously takes pride in his job and he's clearly very good at it too. The...

We arrived at Rivertrees with a day to get settled in Africa prior to our safari. This allowed us to have a day to sleep in and relax. The rooms were comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The staff here was excellent and food was great. We appreciated that our server gave us Swahili lessons and background about the area every...

After about 24 hours of flights, we arrived at this amazing hotel. Everything was picture perfect. Monkeys in the trees, lush gardens, rooms were clean, bathtub with rose petals and our room had a shared sitting room with I believe 4 other rooms. It was just like a scene from out of Africa. The bartender was excellent, food terrific and...

Had an amazing time at river trees. When I got there I was immediately greeted by their awesome staff. The man that met me, Patrick, made sure I was take care of. He brought my bags to my room, gave me some awesome insight into the resort, and really made me feel welcome. After that my family and I went...

Unbelievable comfort, service, food in the middle of nowhere! Stayed at Rivertrees both arriving and leaving on migration and chimp/gorilla safaris in Tanzania and Uganda, our third African adventure. Rivertrees is a lush, manicured, professionally managed respite that ranks with the best we've ever experienced. Superb chef, but also casual dining, including an outdoor, wood-fired pizza oven for lunch-time snacks,...

This was my first visit, but certainly won't be my last. Wonderful tranquil surroundings with amazing staff. A great way to start (or end) a safari. Each cottage has a unique flair with many providing soothing river sounds. Asante.

This hotel saved the day and really made the end of our trip wonderful after some less-than-satisfying experiences with Africa Travel Resources (avoid this tour operator). Their operation is first class but simple and warm. We felt welcomed and so comfortable. The pizza was the best and the pool is beautiful. After a quiet night in a lovely room with...

We spend several nights here in Aug 2016 prior to joining our safari with Thomson Safaris. Lovely property, friendly and helpful staff, and great, rustic-style accommodations. This was our first visit to Africa (we flew in from Amsterdam), and couldn't have been more impressed with the hospitality we were shown. We took an afternoon guided visit to the village of...

The service - no matter if restaurant, room service, food, management - everything was always perfect.- Only sometimes we had to wait a bit long for just some little things in the restaurant (some extra glasses, an ashtray etc.) . - The location as such is very relaxing and pitoresque.: All the rooms are different and all of them have...
