I rarely write reviews but The Outpost Lodge is simply exceptional. We felt all the comfort and safety of home along with exotic infusions of local flavours. The Outpost was the perfect springboard and base camp from which we were able to explore the raw and wild wonders of Tanzania. The location is central and walking distance from transport hubs,...

The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was quite nice. The pool was kind of chilly, but refreshing nonetheless. Good value for a place that is quiet, clean and comfortable and a nice place to stopover if you are on your way through Arusha

We visited for two nights either night of safari. It was recommended by my daughter as comfortable and still tanzanian. We enjoyed the simple unpretentious breakfast, we appreciated the sustainability efforts especially with regard to toiletries. My only suggestion would be that they could offer water top ups more cheaply than buying yet another plastic bottle.

We stayed 4 nights in a family room in the main building (opposite the reception). This were the first four days in Tanzania, so our first hotel/lodge. The room was clean, had four separate single beds with comfortable mattresses and there was enough space to store our luggage. But the room was very basic and not cozy. From other guests...

We stayed here prior to a planned Kilimanjaro hike. Unfortunately due to illness, the hike was cancelled and the staff at the Outpost were very helpful in assisting us to get to the doctor and calling our trekking company, etc. Our room was a bit noisy on one morning with building works and yes we did hear dogs barking and...

We were so sorry for you that your trek didn't happen, but pleased that our Outpost team were able to be of help in a small way. We have been desperately trying to keep our maintenance noise levels down and insisting that, if it has to be done, it is done very much later in the day - and we...

Stayed here after and before a Kili trip. This hotel offers good value for money. Slightly out of the town, but still a walking distance. Not that there is much to see in the town, lots of stiff hawkers instead. ATM is just few hundreds of meters away and safe to walk, as long as you express some caution. Pool...

We are a couple and were on our honeymoon when we stayed at the Outpost Lodge. We arrived at the Outpost Lodge after getting recommendations from our Safari company, as a budget lodge. We arrived at the lodge in the middle of the night. We were not able to sleep all night, due to the howling of the dogs and...

Stayed at the Outpost Pre and Post Kili Trip...While preparing/winding down a trek having a comfortable place to stay makes a lot of difference and Outpost is the place to be...A bit off the main town on a quaint little road Serengeti Road. Used by many tour companies as the launch point so is a good place to meet fellow...

I stayed here for one night before and one night after our game drive portion of our trip. Prior to this, I trekked Kili and the previous hotel in Moshi couldn't provide quick turnaround on our filthy trekking laundry and our trip guide suggested that we wait until we arrived in Arusha. Brilliant advice. After we arrived and checked in,...

I stayed here because of a pre-arranged 4-day safari I had booked. I was very satisfied with the hotel and the room. The beds have mosquito netting around each one, but I didn't see any mosquitoes. Glad to have the netting though. The restaurant has a fairly large selection of food, both western and Asian, and is made fresh and...
