So many lovely surprises at this hotel. I gave it an excellent rating because of the value we received for the price with all the extras here. First of all, the staff is very fantastic. They all speak good English and they are incredibly kind and helpful. One of the male staff named Hubin (I think?) or Daniel was the...

It's easier to take a taxi to the hotel from the train station or airport, there aren't many public buses around. Location is great, hotel is near many great food areas. A leisurely 15-20 minute walk away from the main shopping area. Free wifi and breakfast was good too. Breakfast has to be ordered the day before, with specific timings...

I booked into CJ Hotel as the edge of a typhoon struck the eastern coast of the Island. I'd been working in Taipei and decided to have a 'beach break' at Hualien. The hotel was lovely - I was in room 602, the top floor, with a view back over the city to the hills and the sea way in...

Stayed in room 401. Nice and clean but a bit congested with 2 double beds and 2 small sofa seats. Breakfast is ok, provided and served in the room at selected times and must be pre-ordered the day before. Hotel has 11 floors and lobby is clean and provided with seats for waiting. It is within walking distance to the...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Rooms are spacious and location is great as well, quite close to the night market (5 min taxi ride, 130 NTD)and city center. They lent us some bike for free, I recommend the bike trail to Qixintan (Chishing tarn). However if you expect a new room, be careful. They have old and...

Stay here for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and spacious. Just take note when using the electric kettle, check if the bottom of the kettle is clean else request to change it. There is also a good massage center around the hotel corner, go there for a nice massage after a long tired day. First impression of the staffs...

What I like about CJ Hotel is its free bicycle rental (flashlight and lock included). Despite the convenient location of the hotel in the city center, you still need a bicycle to get around. The newly relocated Rainbow Night Market is in the neighborhood. Nearby there are also famous sweets and snacks. We (two adults) stayed a night at CJ...

I had a mixed stay at the CJ Hotel. They seem to be well priced for the service and comfort provided and the location is good. The free shuttle from/to the train station is nice as well as the free bike rental. Some rooms are new, some old, as they are currently renovating the hotel step by step. Decent size...

We were just travelling through but had a pleasant stop in Hualien. The hotel stay very very good. Service was very friendly and extremely helpful and breakfast very good value. Easy to find somewhere for dinner and the night market we stumbled across was fun.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are conveniently located near the city center and the Far East Department Store, 10 minutes from the railroad station and 25 minutes from the airport, near public transportation, and with plenty of free parking spaces. It is only 5 minutes walk to the city's center and main shopping district, and near the entrance of Na-Bin Park; in addition, the starting point for city's bicycle route is right outside the hotel. From our hotel, it is very convenient for taking a leisure walk or bicycle ride to see the beautiful city of Hualien and its coastline. ... more   less
