Did not get the quiet room as far as possible from the restaurant as Jonathan had promised when we booked months before arriving. We ended up in what must have been the noisiest of all the rooms, just next to the restaurant and performance hall, because of big tourist groups. Very disappointing. The so-called wi-fi hardly worked. But the location...

Taroko National Park is worth more than one day's visit and it's best to stay inside the park. Leader Village Taroko is an excellent choice. It's run by the local Taroko aboriginal tribe and offers simple but comfortable accommodation. It's a beautiful and peaceful location. Adjacent buildings show videos of the park and aboriginal culture and there are also cultural...

Beautiful and secluded mountainous surrounding. The weather quickly changes between heavy rain, showers, and sunshine making for many photographic opportunities. The staff are consistently helpful and friendly. The cabin lodging is clean and adequate. The food is served buffet style and provides a wide enough choice that most visitors should be satisfied. One of the park centers is just a...

If you want to experience the beauty of Eastern Taiwan and the hospitality of the Taroko Tribes with friends or family then this is for you. Idyllic and grand location inside the gorge with nicely appointed huts. Dinner buffet and barbecue was not bad but the best past was the after dinner show hosted by staff and local kids under...

Location: on a small hill within Taroko, it's a good base to visit the national park, but best to have your own car. Cottages: don't expect 5 star luxury, but it's cozy and comfy, no tub only shower, WiFi ok. Do leave time to read the books inside the room for a glimpse into Taiwan aborigine history. Restaurant: the inclusive...

Firstly, the Leader Village is beautifully situated surrounded by green mountains and blue skies. It's like a little community with two rings of lodges circling a common lawn area. Perfect for couples, families with kids, groups of friends ... in short, everyone! We stayed at Leader Village while in Taroko Gorge on a girls' trip. Five of us shared one...
