The property was beautiful, calm, and surrounded by nature. The staff were extremly helpful and accomodsting. Elke made us feel at home. Niyagama exceeded all our expectations. A good selection of Sri Lankan Food and other options. The food was so good that after trying another restaurant in town we decided to only eat at Niyagama. For those looking for...

We were there end of march and we expected a nice place. But it was much more. Its a nice place with a heart. If you like to relax and feel like you want to do it in a friends house, go there, you will like it. We both really appreciate the house, every single person who work there and...

We spent 5 nights at Niyagama house during March at the end of a 10 day trip to Sri Lanka. The hotel is located around 20 mins by tuk tuk from Galle fort and Unawatuna Beach, and the hotel can organise Tuk tuks or cars to pick and drop you off as needed. The hotel is a small boutique one...

After our first visit in 2015, we decided to come back for a longer period of time (5 nights) to relax, to enjoy the beautiful architecture (and surrounding nature), and to participate in Elke's morning yoga classes. We love this hotel for its location (in the middle of a beautiful tea plantation - yet an easy tuktuk ride away from...

This is a very romantic small boutique hotel ideally suited for visiting Galle but in very peaceful hill-top surroundings with an abundance of wildlife and absolute luxury. The hotel is beautifully architected with lovely natural materials in a modern Buddhist style. We were initially allocated the top floor room which was immaculate with views over the forest but it was...

Location is in the middle of the jungle, 25 mion from the center of Galle. Swimming pool is very nice and the rest of the hotel is also nice. Room was spacious and bed was good. TO know, no alcohol is served in this hotel, but it welcomes people fond of joga / green food.

I spent 5 days at Niyagama House and did the Arial yoga retreat! The meditation on the top Terass in the Sun rise was great and the yoga was amazing! A good balance between challenging poses and stretching. The food was fresh and healthy and the staff was very friendly and service minded. I can warmly recommend this to anyone...

My wife and I booked 2 nights. We were completely taken by the absolute beauty and tranquility of the surrounding. The house is wonderfully decorated and clean. The staff are very welcoming efficient and helpful. I am not a Yoga person but I was intrigued by the method used (Aerial Yoga) so I decided to join my wife and try...

A pristine tea plantation with a landscaped garden opened up when we drove up the driveway. The 3 storey house was very elegantly appointed, it had a surreally tranquil and yet homey feel to it. Our room (four poster bed, no less!) awaited us, air conditioned, the cool air aromatically infused. The nearest town was at least some 15km away...

What an amazing place. Perched atop a tea plantation, Niyagama House really is a world apart from anything else you will ever experience. Where do I start? The service - WOW. The team was so polite, so helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They always serve with a smile, and as cliched as it sounds...
