Very nice hotel and very comfortable stay. Buffet breakfast was very impressive. Service was also good but needs some improvement. Location is also very good. Bus stop and MRT is nearby. Overall a very nice stay.

We liked the central situation in daejeon, the very functional rooms and great staff. Some of our items forgotten after check-out were carefully guarded at the reception until we picked them up in the later days, no problem. The breakfast was not OK for my western taste.

As regular visitors to South Korea we stay in a lot of hotels. First impression: Very smart. The staff here are very helpful, charming and always have a smile on their face. I cannot talk about the cost of the room as we are an Abba tribute band on tour, our promoters pay for our stay, but looking at the price list it looks very reasonable. Our room on the 11th floor was small but very comfortable, we (my wife and I) had two single beds, good TV, clothes rail all good. Than we looked at the bathroom ,,,,,,,,,it's a pod! First impression OMG how does my 16 stone frame going to fit? Buy hey don't knock until you've tried it. It's amazing, a very good traditional Korean toilet/bidet, the shower is perfect, they even have a mirror that did not steam up. We loved it. Our stay included breakfast: Very Korean, but we are the only "westerners" in the hotel. We are a party of 5, one had the soup which she enjoyed, me and one other settled for toast and jam, one other went for the Korean food and really enjoyed. Coffe good, tea and orange juice all good and plenty of everythink. If I could make one criticism, as we were the only westerners they could have offered us something like an egg ? To finish if you are looking to stay in this area this hotel would be a very good choice.

I stayed in this hotel for a conference in Daejeon. It is well localized, nearby metro station and other facilities (bar and supermarket). The room is well equipped. The staff was gentle and professional. The breakfast could be better for occidentals, but in general is ok (better than two other options I tried in the same city). If you are going to take a cab, make sure you have the hotel information (name and address) in Korean. It is relatively close to a bus stop for inter city trips.

10-14 October, 2016. I was in Daejeon for a conference. I wanted to stay close to the conference site (DCC: Daejeon Convention Center), and wanted a fairly affordable place to stay, as well. A compromise was the Toyoko Inn, close to the Daejeon Government Complex. I was assigned room 710, a non-smoking room. I have stayed in a Toyoko Inn property before (Tsukuba, Japan, November 2012), so I knew what to expect. I had also read reviews of this particular property from Tripadvisor. I did not find the ladies at the reception desk rude, in any way. I had made my booking on Expedia, and was asked for my passport, and they kept a photocopy of the same. I did not opt for room service, since I wanted unimpeded access to my room at any time. I did not end up using my room in the late mornings or afternoons, but it was interesting to see a daily supply of towels, two green tea sachets, a toothbrush and paste mini-tube, and a bottle of mineral water, in a packet outside my door, every day. The room was clean, neat and tidy, and functional. The room and bathroom were quite small, but I did not need more space. The temperature was maintained at comfortable levels. I was feeling a bit warm after coming in, and had opened the downward-hinged window a bit, but the temperature soon became pleasant. There is small desk area, with a large number of power-ports (it also has two 110V power-ports, in addition to the standard Korean 220V two-pin sunken sockets. There is a mini-fridge under the table on one side. The other side has a small shelf. On the walls, there is a clothes rack with hangars. There is a small kettle in the shelf itself. The lighting is adjustable, and perfect for the room itself. The bathroom has a bathtub, and a Japanese-style sophisticated shower toilet. The liquid soap enclosure has a body wash soap, shampoo and conditioner. A lever adjusts the water between the wash basin and the telephone-type shower, near the bathtub. There is free Internet available: both wired, as well as wireless. The morning breakfast was nice and wholesome: it has a distinct Korean touch. Sticky rice, rice cakes, Mushroom soup, a Korean soup (which changed daily), kimchi, two Korean dishes (which included tofu, chicken mini-sausages, a spinach-based dish, depending on the day), a peanut/groundnut item, and water, Orange juice, bread/buns with butter and preserves, and coffee. The hotel also has a free shuttle van drop off to the Daejeon Railway station, with a frequency of half-an-hour. The place is at a walking distance from exit 4 of the Daejeon Government Complex subway station, exit 4. It is also at a walking distance from the Government Complex, itself. Overall, a wholesome experience, once again, at a Toyoko Inn property.

Located in the downtown Daejeon, this is close to a metro station within walking distance. Room is cheap with basic amenities. Quite clean and well maintained. Breakfast is minimal but a nice extra. I even got a discount for not using the second bed in the room. I believe that Hotel ICC is better in terms of value although a bit more expensive, especially if one goes to the convention center.

As other Toyoko Inn, it has small but convenient and comfortable rooms. Front staffs are well-trained and nice except their uniform(staffs in any other Toyoko Inn put on the same dress code). It is placed some far from the main train station, but runs regular shuttle from the station to the hotel in free. Despite narrow space, each rooms have kinds of amenities anyone need. Temperature & humidity are easy to control. Breakfast is good for business purpose not for feast. If someone visit this city for business, I would highly recommend this place.

Clean, well equipped with basic facilities (wifi, breakfast, drinks from vending mc, toilet utilities), but nothing glamour. Rather cheap as compared to hotel in Japan. Near to university I am going for event. Nearby to main places too especially a park where we could see local people enjoying their free time.

Toyoko is a Japanese business hotel chain - this is not the place to go for wonderful ambience, but it's a convenient, comfortable place for to stay on a business trip. The rooms are small by Western standards (I've stayed in smaller in Asia) but well equipped (hair dryer, bathroom with tub, safe, kettle, fridge), while the front desk has various practical items either for loan or a nominal fee (iron and board, various toiletries). There are computers for use in the lobby, along with fax and printing facilities. Internet is free, and there is both wifi and a faster wired connection in the rooms. The front office staff spoke English, and was helpful. There is a self-serve breakfast which, as other reviewers have mentioned, is very Korean. For those not happy with kimchi and soup at eight in the morning, there was toast and jam, coffee and orange juice available while I was there. Location wise, the hotel is a short walk from the bus stop for the Incheon airport express, the subway, and a convenient public bus to some of the science campuses north of the city. There is a wide variety of restaurants within a five-ten minute walk, and I felt quite safe (as a woman) walking to them after dark.
