Having stayed at its next door (almost a mirror image) Whistle Lark a few times, we decided to give Hotel Regent Marine Jeju a try despite costing a few bucks more (negligible amount though) for some reason. We didn’t get a direct ocean view but looking at the northern coastline (so facing 90 degrees from the ocean) which was still great. None of the rooms have balconies which was a bit disappointing in the warmer weather. The pool is way too small to accommodate all of the visitors and way too crowded in the Covid era so I gave it a pass (it is only open in the PM which was odd). The location adjacent to an oceanfront park and a walking path is great and it was just 2 km from the ferry pier. If staying in Jeju City, it’s a great choice.

Good location with ample parking lots. However, the carpets and chair cushion are badly stained and hence the low rating. Guests have to pay to get shavers and toothbrush but it could be a Korean housekeeping policy.

First time to Jeju and overall experience is good.

Free parking (valet parking), room is spacious, nice view.

10 minutes' away from Lotte autocar 15 minutes' away from Jeju airport. There's a small gym at level one, 2 bottles of water each day, hair dryer, shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner are provided. Hotel don't loan their guest umbrella but sells umbrella at KRW5000 each.

Few minutes' walk from seafood street and black pork street but I personally don't recommend them. I didn't try the seafood along the street but did check out what they offer. Price is exorbitent. I tried bbq pork long black pork street but too expensive, price don't justfy the taste and portion.

The hotel is close to the airport. It costs maximum of KRW 10,000 to get here.
The room was clean, had a lockable cupboard for valuables, comfortable (moderately firm) bed and a smart TV that you can pair your phone with to watch local You Tube content.
If you book in for breakfast the day prior, the cost is cheaper (it was 15,000 KRW when i booked in advance) and it was a decent buffet with western and Korean options.
It’s located right on the water, with a great walking track (including walk out to the pier) and has awesome sights of aircraft flying in all day (windows have good noise insulation so you barely hear the aircraft), and there’s also great coffee at a local bakery cafe 1 mins walk from the hotel front door (ASLN cafe). If you want coffee on site, the hotel has a small cafe in the foyer.
It’s a long way from the Jeju CBD but we hired a driver to get out and see the island so the location wasn’t an issue for us. Even so, there’s a few restaurants up behind the hotel (and a McDonalds) and a shopping precinct.
Enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

The first thing to mention is that this is no way a four star hotel.
That said, it has a very good sea front location and is efficient.

This hotel is popular with young Korean couples and families during the peak summer season. That said it has the feel of a business stay hotel.

Generally the staff don't speak English so basic Korean language ability is necessary.

The room was well appointed with new furniture and was very clean. (Sea front view but noisy buskers on the promenade during the evenings which goes on beyond 11pm - stayed 3 nights and each night was the same)

The hotel has an outside pool which opens at 1pm. However, the pool is really just a kids splash pool. The tranquility of the website photo is not reality. To all intents and purposes the pool is unusable. I was Ok with this because it was summer peak and families are on holiday. Just I advise about it.

Now the maim point, the breakfast dining area is also a pub/fried chicken bar during the evenings open to the general public. The sea front facing upper seating area is not cleaned properly. This means you will find traces of fried chicken crumbs / tomato ketchup splashes on some of the the chairs/tables and floor from the night before during you breakfast dining. Charming!

immediately had a great impression of regent marine when the man at the desk let me check in over two hours early without me even asking. he also gave me a free upgrade to a top floor beach-facing room that was glorious (again without me asking for anything). i would have been happy if i'd paid TWICE as much for my stay even without the upgrades. the room was super clean and spacious and even had power outlets that didn't require adapters (if you're from the US or japan, for example)

hotel is right on the water with nice walking trails. definitely take a walk over to yongyeon pond/bridge which is beautiful (yongduam rock is meh. iono why it's a destination). then ofc dongmun market is a must-do. had read it was less legit than the local 5-day market past the airport (open on days ending in 2 or 7) but i actually liked dongmun way more. so much more variety in food with tons of black pork dishes, grilled lobster, delicious sashimi etc in addition to local hallabong tangerine and udo peanut treats. dongmun was my fave market in all of korea as was hotel regent marine. (avoid black pig restaurant row nearby. it's mediocre overpriced food targeted at tourists)

We came across this hotel online and stayed in it for four days and three nights. The very first thing that we liked about the place was its location. It's right across the North Port of the city with a long rubberized promenade, and a good line up of lovely restaurants selling fresh seafood. Second was its price. Night rate was lower compared to other accommodations in the area. The rooms were also great, very clean, spacious with comfortable beds, and an ensuite toilet and shower room. There's also a restaurant, a small fitness gym and a game room on the ground floor. Swimming pools were on the third floor. Parking lot was behind the hotel. Personnel service was also great. They promptly attended to all our needs. Shopping area was just right around the corner. As to some of its limitations, I just hope that they had a shuttle service to and from the airport. Some personnel somewhat struggled with the English language, too, which made communication a bit challenging.

The rooms are basic and comfortable. It was mostly clean with just a little mold in the shower. Wallpaper in hallways are in rough shape. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are quiet. The location is convenient to several things and the view from the ocean side rooms are nice. If you can get a good deal then this is a good property. I would stay here again.

Booked 2 rooms in this hotel earlier this month.

The rooms were spacious. Bottled water were given. Valet parking was excellent. Basic toiletries were given(except toothbrush) house keeping was good. View of the room(sea view) was amazing. There’s a McDonald’s, great cafes nearby(check out: about coffee) and supermarket nearby(minutes away by foot) hotel was also walking distance to black pork market. Toilet comes with modern bidet.

However, we did encounter a strong stench in one of the rooms. Smelled like stale food, probably from the previous guests.

Hi! I think it was w20,000. It was okay but I thought a little expensive. Nice restaurant, though.
Delon L asked a question May 2018
My partner and are busy professionals and have not had a vacation in over a year. We originally booked the hotel because of the images posted on Agoda, namely the multiple images of the pool and access to the fitness center listed on the property profile. On arrival, we were informed that both the pool and fitness center were under maintenance and as a result, we were not permitted access. When I mentioned to the staff that this actually constitutes false advertising (the use of false, misleading, or unproven information to advertise products to consumers or advertising that does not disclose its source.); fraud (wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain) and most importantly, unjustified enrichment (when a person, or legal entity unfairly gets a benefits by chance, mistake or another's misfortune for which the one enriched has not paid or worked and morally and ethically should not keep. A person who has been unjustly enriched at the expense of another must legally return the unfairly kept money or benefits.) I was then told that it was an Agoda problem not a hotel problem and that they were sorry that I was not happy but it was not their responsibility. I paid full price for the reservation and so I asked the staff member if she thought it was fair that I was paying for facilities and privileges that I was not going to receive. After much back and forth, eventually I was upgraded to a sea facing room and was ready to try to salvage what was left of my vacation. That is, until what I can only presume was one of the staff members, decided to ALLEGEDLY use my booking information to find me on one of my social networks and berate me for being a “black consumer” (a term used by Koreans to indicate a customer who complains without cause). Now correct me if I am wrong, but is it not my RIGHT to complain if I receive poor service or if facilities promised in black and white are not available after paying for the right to access the aforementioned facilities? I believe the management need to undergo staff sensitivity training because all of this could have been solved by following some basic customer service training procedures. 1) Acknowledge and apologize for the problem 2) Ask the customer what their ideal remedy to the problem would be 3) Provide reasonable options that are within your scope of influence 4) Agree on terms and follow up the next day to see that the customer is now satisfied. This is Business 101. The customer pays your salary. If the customer is unhappy with the service they will go elsewhere and most likely tell all of their friends, resulting in an unnecessary negative public relations debacle with ultimately leads to a loss of business. I am deeply disappointed because as a frequent business traveler I often have to use hotels. I have been using agoda since December 2011 and this was honestly the WORST service I have ever received. This entire experience has completely put both myself and my partner off from ever returning to Jeju and the Hotel Regent Marine The Blue again.
