We stayed here a few days to rest after a long trip and before watching orangutans. The place is beautiful with very clean and comfortable rooms and there are many friendly staff around to help. We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful gardens. The Dutch host helped us put a trip through Sumatra and Java together. They did an amazing...

This resort offers a total change of pace and surrounding from the city hotels. I cannot stand the traffic noise and congestion in Medan, this resort provides the respite from the very chaotic city. The garden and public area of the mid size resort is well kept. The chalet style rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves very good...

You turn the corner from endless streets of noisy traffic, dusty-floored shacks selling sundry food or items, and down a drive into the Deli River property. It's almost surreal, surrounded by the peace and quiet of the (somewhat murky) pond, palm trees and imposing reception/restaurant building. The pool is lovely, overlooking fruit trees down to a river. The only problem...

We stayed one night at the hotel Deli River after returning from Bukit Lawang and before flying out to Banda Aceh. It is a quiet hotel in a local area. There isn't much to see or do if walking from the hotel, a car or taxi is needed. The staff were excellent, the rooms very comfortable with lots of security,...

We opted for Hotel Deli River as our arrival and departure hotel for our jungle expedition from Ketambe. Very friendly personal. Dutch-Indonesian couple developed this and provide their guests with a comfortable environment. Restaurant affordable and good quality. And very kind to make us a breakfast package when we had to leave at 03.00 a.m. to catch our early flight.

We have enjoyed our stay at the Deli River hotel very much. Friendly and experienced staff. The rooms are in colonial Indonesian style with an eye for detail. They are clean, cosy and functional with a lovely balcony. The small hotel is set in a wonderful garden with a beautiful pond with lotus. The pool is nice and the owners,...

The Deli River Hotel was our first stop in Sumatra after a long flight. It was a true oasis for us. The swimming pool was perfect, the rooms were spotless, with comfortable beds, and a lovely veranda looking out on the beautiful garden. We had tasty dinners in the restaurant Omlandia. And last but not least, the staff is very...

After a two and a half week wonderful journey through Sumatra (thankyou Nasib for all the driving) organized by Tri-Jaya tours, we finished our time in Medan at their Hotel Deli River. It is not in the center of town but further out, away from the madness of Medan traffic. We found this to be the best accommodation during our...

30 min outside Medan, but do it - so peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The rooms are really nice, good beds and a nice bathroom. The pool and area is great And the food was really good as well. Service was superb - e.g. got a large breakfast package with us, because we left before breakfast time.
