It is quite a nice place to stay since the view ahead is a peaceful beach and a row of wonderful islets. Yet, the rooms are not quite comfortable especially if you rent a connected ones. The hotel doesn't provide a good room silencer.

As we checked in we got a room in the main building that really needed serious maintenance. It felt that the room had been left there since the 80's untouched. So after reading some of the reviews we upgraded to the bungalows facing the water, and that is why I give it 3 stars and not 1.

Nobody staying in any of the main building's standard rooms would return. Location - located next to the port area - at the extreme north-west corner of Makassar's central "old" shopping area Reception - the always friendly Indonesian staff are here too - no problem with the reservation, porter - tiny iced Welcome drink - no early check-in allowed to...

On my first night ( and my last night) in the Sulawesi, I stayed in the Pantai Gapura Hotel in Makassar. It is composed off wooden cottages, and the terras is with his feet on pillars in the see. I had a harbourvieuw cottage, and that can be very noisy on working days, because there is a building site a few...

I spent a night with my family. My dad picked the cottage which has a direct view to Kayangan Island. The hotel environment was so quiet, the sea view was wonderful, and the room was good. This hotel is one of my favorite place in Makassar. I often come here just to enjoy the sunset in their sunset bar. This...

A hotel in the city that feels like a resort away from the city. We were in a lovely seaside cabin, it had a Nice porch overlooking the water. The bungalows are built on poles on the water, so walking around makes you feel like you're in a totally different place than a city hotel. But when you look up,...

We slept two different times in a seaview cottage, noisy when you have neighbours, the bathroom is in need of renovation, the floor is squeaking, but the room feels pleasant. The greatest asset is your terrace though, when you sit there in the afternoon in the sun with a cold Bintang beer looking over the sea and experiencing a sunset:...

we only spent two nights here when going to and from Toraja. the hotel is in the centre, with nice pool and a bar above the sea. we were staying in rooms, which are very dated and not very clean, so better if you opt for cottages that seemed in better shape. the breakfast was ok, staff is friendly and...

We spent 2 nights there. Our bungalow was on the side looking over the sea and the nearby new high rise building under construction, a messy view there. The bed was clean, the bathroom too. But walking bear feet, the bedroom floor was not dustless. The decoration includes a lot of wood. The room is spacy. Small terrace, quite ok...
