We stayed overnight at Kertanegara an our room is two twin beds good enough to accommodate four of us. Room is spacious and bathroom is shower only. Breakfast is very simple but good. The area around the hotel is upscale Malang with Ijen Boulevard is just couple meters from our hotel. Access to Malang center is just around the corner. We highly recommend this hotel for god value, clean room and acceptable breakfast.

First time stay in malang for vacation, this place is absolutely great, with a great price, great location and also the great staff. the price is affordable for a comfortable room and very clean.
the location is nice you can go to Malang townsquare only like 10 mins, 5 mins to Stadium, walk for like 5 mins you can enjoy the streetfood. the staff is friendly, and helpful. and maybe for you who like smoking, you cant smoke in the room, because they wanna to keep the room clean, they only allowed in the terrace but its fine because the terrace so nice. the staff very helpful they help you with travel and accomodation.

First of all, yes, this is not a guest house. Rather, it's a 3 stars hotel with guest house price. I booked the rooms we used using hotel website, and from the very start the staffs were very helpful to us, Donny and Devia provided much the needed information before I did the actual booking and I was not disappointed; they didnt give me false/misleading information.
Although I didn't booked rooms with breakfast, at the end we had one breakfast in the hotel and that was the only service that was below "okay" standard. But, money wise, it's still a bargain !!! I hope hotel management can improve the breakfast in near future. That sure will make this hotel a lot better and I'm confident people wont complaint if Kertanagara charge a bit higher price.

After several trips to Malang staying at various hotels, I chanced upon Kertanegara Guest House on Traveloka. I was not expecting much given the relatively low price of the room, however, my impressions changed the moment I walked in to the premises. I was greeted by a most friendly receptionist who was able to address all of my questions and provide me information about the hotel and its facilities. When I asked for directions to my meeting destination, she even able to suggest to me where it was safe to cross the busy main road of Idjen and offered for the Security to accompany me to cross the road. Simply Amazing! The entire building might look like someone's house but inside, the room was impressively large and equipped with all the amenities one would expect from a proper hotel. While the rooms are non-smoking areas, they have conveniently provided seats and an ash bin in the expansive and well ventilated common corridors. I only stayed 2 nights and did not try out the breakfast, but from all the happy smiley faces I saw at the dining area, I'm sure it must have been good. As for location, it is centrally located near Idjen Boulevard close to eateries, malls, tourist sites, a supermarket and pharmacy. A surprise find for me, but I will certainly make this my choice hotel on my next visit.

Excellent, Feels like at home. Very Clean, Near to Foods Area, the Around 'elite' area in Malang. Near to Center of Malang City. Very Recommended to stay, and surely i will stay here again if i visit Malang again.

I stay for 2 nights at room 308 and just enter the room for 5 minutes and found that room not suit for me. Too noisy, bad pressure shower, and bad location room. I know when you choose cheap room, you can't expect great quality BUT my biggest disappointment is the staff not allowed me to upgrade room because they said i already use the room. This was very unpleasant.

Not recomended for family to stay here. Hot shower only available during 7am-7pm and enough only for 1 person. The staff did nothing even after i complained. I was travelling with toddler. So it was annoying.

Great position close to Mall and Stadium. Quiet area near Jl Ijien. Rooms were first class clean and spacious. Good internet, breakfast and laundry. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable
We had a great time. On the first night when we ate in the food was brought from the restaurant downtown but was a high quality meal. Other nights we ate out. This area is the wealthy area of town so the guest house was great value for what we paid.

Di Malang semuanya dekat, bisa ditempuh memakai taxi selama 15-20 menit
ada dua type, denga sarapan dan tanpa, saya dua kali stay di kartanegara tanpa sarapan (karna banyak tempat makan disekitar hotel), tapi jika ingin sarapan boleh kok dengan biaya tambahan 40 - 50rb per person (all you can eat) jauh lebih murah apabila kita nginap dengan sarapan...
