On arrival to Goya resort I was greeted with care, friendliness and professionalism. The restaurant and breakfast waiters and concierge staff were knowledgeable and extremely lovely. Only concern I had was the lock on the room door, was difficult to lock and wasn’t always sure it was secure. Wasn’t entirely comfortable with the security, but that could just be me as a solo traveller. Overall, a good experience but resort could also do with an update. Our first trip to Ubud, Bali, we were so lucky to choose our stay with Goya… we arrived late at night on the first day and a very kind lady from reception took us to our room, explained what we needed to know….not only her professionalism made us feel so comfortable here, also we felt like being transported into a little corner of Paradise as we were walking on this amazingly lush green corridor, flanked on each of the sides by beautiful tropical plants that open into a swimming pool facing what we understood to be the jungle in the area…. To our great surprise during our first night we really felt immersed in nature, as the entire place was bussing with sounds of a living nature….room so spacious, beautifully designed, clean and opening with a view towards the tropical forest… what to wish for more? Woke up refreshed after just a few hours of sleep that night, not to mention we had a 24 h trip to get there. We realized that was due to the natural setting, but also to the harmony of the place…. We met at breakfast that morning some of their staff, which are always smiling and ready to offer you the best they have on their menu! Not only are they amazing as people, but the team functions great also… compliments to the management. We met Agus (not sure this is the correct spelling ) at the very begging, who would start calling us by our names Miss….& Mister….and always intuitively knew what we needed :) through out our interaction with the staff, I could mention that we felt really amazing each morning as all the staff there is tailored in the same manner, the ladies are especially kind and gentle… We were never there during the afternoons as we wanted to see the most of Ubud, but one day we decided to stay and enjoy and to our surprise the restaurant and pool are facing west, so we got to experience an amazing sunset and the best cocktail ever Gin Passion, made by Winny Karisna…we are more onto wine, but after tasting a sample of one that was already prepared, we decided it was delicious 😋 Reception staff was also simply amazing, all of them, as we saw a few change during our 9 days stay with them! They organized a tour to some of the local attractions, and our driver and guide Adi (hope spelling is correctly) was extremely mindful that his guests enjoy a great time…needless to say everything went just great… Cleaning personnel for sure is doing an amazing job, as they come several times a day to ensure that everything is spotless and room is arranged according to the time in the day. We could have not wished for more and wholeheartedly recommend Goya Boutique ❤️

Location & getting around: Goya is parallel to one of the main streets in town, so once you get there you can walk to shops, restaurants and monkey forest. (Getting in and out of there in the first place was a nightmare of traffic due to narrow one way streets, so I’d recommend hiring a scooter if you plan to travel around Ubud while staying at Goya. There are plenty of rental places within walking distance, if you can’t ride you can hire a scooter+driver.) Hotel & Villa: This boutique style resort backs on to a forest, giving you the feeling of open space and tranquility (see photo of the outlook from the restaurant / pool area). The villa was modern and spacious. The Bulgari toiletries were a nice touch. Food: Breakfast is table service à la carte and 5 star quality. Highly recommend for a couples holiday, it’s a peaceful sanctuary within the city hubbub.

Goya Boutique hotel was absolutely fabulous. The staff were among the best we have ever come across abroad, and we have travelled to many hotels worldwide , being so friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The service from all staff & cleanliness was faultless and the facilities were excellent from the room, to the view from the hotel and the pool. The Senja restaurant food for breakfast, lunch & dinner was superb. We ate there all but one night (where we ate at Pistachio - a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel, also a great choice!). There was plenty of choice from local dishes to international dishes and everything was delicious. Experiencing a traditional Balinese evening was wonderful with dancers, acoustic music & food. This was our first time in Bali and we had previously heard of British tourists falling ill, so were a little worried about this. However, Goya totally alleviated all concerns, providing the highest standards of cleanliness, food & drink preparation and replenishing bottled water in our room daily. The complimentary shuttle down to Ubud centre was also a great addition to save walking down in the heat (albeit being only a 10 min walk)! The location of the Goya was perfect for all tourist attractions eg Ubud palace, monkey forest. Temple, rice fields etc, all within an hour’s drive (by taxi). We thoroughly enjoyed our day trips, knowing that we would return to perfection on arrival back to the hotel. We conducted lots of research around hotels to stay in Ubud, but we thought this was the best for the price offered, and we definitely made the right decision!

Stayed at Goya in late June and it was wonderful. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel makes sure to regularly replenish the complimentary bottled water (key since the tap in Bali is not potable). The infinity pool and its views of the jungle are amazing, and it made each morning's breakfast experience surreal.

I had an amazing stay at Goya Boutique Resort. The room was spacious, modern and very clean, the staff was incredibly kind, super helpful and always available to help out with anything, from tips and recommendations till organising personalised tours. Finally, the location was great, with many landmarks such as Ubud Palace and Monkey Forest easily reachable in foot. I would highly recommend staying at Goya Boutique resort!

It was our first( and I think not the last time) in Goya Hotel in Ubud. We liked it. First of all, the location of the hotel is quite convenient ( it’s near by the Monkey Forest and street with bars and shops). Secondly, the room is clean and cosy. The furniture is in a good condition, bathrobes and sleepers are good too(very comfortable), the bathroom equipment is new and works well( water pressure, water temperature, water flushing ..everything is good). Employees are nice and helpful, for every our request they tried their best to manage the problem. The view from the pool is pictorial. The pool itself is not deep or big to have a good swim, but it’s more for relaxing, and making a great pictures.

Amazing Hotel close to the center but very quiet (you can walk to Monkey forest, start the Campuhan Ridge Trail or walk to the Kajeng Rice field).
The hotel management did a great job in maintaining the building during the pandemic. It’s the 3rd time we stayed there and it was excellent as always! Rooms are spacious & clean. The infinity pool stunning! The staff is super friendly and happy to welcome you back on the property!

We stayed in 2 bedroom villa and had an incredible visit at Goya! The staff, especially Novi, were wonderful! They were so thoughtful and accommodating and always kind and friendly. The location is central to the center of Ubud and you can walk to the Monkey Forest. The pool is beautiful and the grounds are extremely well-kept. The amenities were great and breakfast options plentiful!
