This is a nice pleasant hotel, worth coming back again. Staff were polite too. What I really liked was that they do not put bottles of water in the rooms but refill stations on your floor. On my floor, there were 2 refill stations spaced out. Kudos to the hotel for this environmentally conscious practice. The beds were nice and comfortable with proper air conditioning.

great location with many restaurants and cafes around the corner. the cleanliness of the room need extra care as we found many ants on the bed and the dressing table when we checked in as well as the hand basin even after the room was make up the next day. stained mark can be seen on the bedsheets and shower curtain. overall the location and the staff were good.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff! I booked this hotel for a month and am still here for a few more days.
I discovered this hotel about 5 years ago when I was staying at another beautiful hotel in the Sayan jungle. I didn't realize how difficult it would be climbing a multitude of slippery steps in the rain when I got back at night. Not to mention all the frogs, geckos, and who knows what else, along the way.
Thankfully, I stumbled upon Evitel, just a few steps away from Yoga Barn, with lots of shops, cafes and a supermarket, right downstairs. I was so relieved to move here, where I could walk to in a couple of minutes after yoga class and dinner.
I can hear geckos and frogs at night in the rice paddies, which is lovely. Sometimes I see them on my balcony ceiling at night, which is cute, and natural, since the balcony overlooks the rice fields. As long as thy are not in the room, I'm happy.
The hotel has a huge entrance driveway, with plenty of space to drive up in a taxi, and unload. There's always staff nearby to help with luggage or anything you need. I mention this because not every hotel in Bali is easy to access by car, and fully staffed 24/7, with lovely, polite professionals. If you have luggage, or are arriving at night, you'll really appreciate the arrival experience.
My room has a view of the rice paddies, and the rooms on the other side also have a lovely view of palm trees, a fish pond and a garden. I feel very safe here and well taken care of by the staff.
I noticed a few guests mention the air conditioning. It's actually excellent, but the remote settings are a bit complicated. The room was ice cold after checking in, and when I adjusted the temperature, the room became too warm. It took me awhile to figure out the settings. Best to ask the staff.
The hotel gets busy, it's often fully booked, and sometimes guests are noisy. But it's quiet late at night, and I sleep well here. Rooms are cleaned daily by the hardworking housekeeping team. I keep things pretty clean, so I only need cleaning once a week.
Special thanks to the lovely staff here, who are all so kind and welcoming!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, it was our first time and we have mentioned it to the receptionist. As the title of this review, I said neglecting as I dont feel like we were welcomed nor expected.
We book the rooms through OTA. As we arrived nobody were there showing us where to park our car, its fine we thought it's pandemic the were rightsizing their worforce, understood. After parking the car at basement which were quite convenience to kept the car for 2 days, we were checking in. The process run as usual then we were directed ways to reach our room.
Arriving at the room, the first that we noticed wasthe hair next to the sink and the dirty toilet (it was seen when you open the door). The roo.Was quite small with small balcony in it. Some maintenance needed in some area. If you come as family I would suggest to take 2 rooms or find bigger hotel elsewhere.
Entering day 2, we were surprised with the very very super simple ala carte breakfast, you only have a choice of nasi goreng or mie goreng with tea or coffee, mineral water is on the house. No other option available, the team were also not trying to upsell or show us any options which they have the million opportunities to do so.
The key card was expired on day 2 while we supposed to check out the following day. The pool was quite dirty and on our second night the team were having staff party which is necessary for the team, but the noise should be kept into minimum especially if there is occupied room right beneath it. We were requested late check out which was granted for an hour, considering the hotel was not that busy, we were wondering if they would pamper us more than an hour, but anyway. On the day we check out we were called by the receptionist at 12.39 informing our check out time which was supposed to be noted in the system (if they use any) so that it does not sound rude for a first timer such as us.
Overall, we dont really enjoy the stay and will not able to recommend nor come back im the future. Hopefully other will not experience the same as us.
All the best!

The location is very strategic for those of you who want to spend a holiday in Ubud. Close to everywhere. Stay in the Superiom Room which has a rice field view, the rooms are clean & comfortable. There is a rooftop restaurant and an infinity pool. The staff is also very friendly.

We stayed at the Evil Resort as part of a True Travels hotel. The hotel was clean and had good aircon. It is close to bars and shops but it is about a 20 minute walk right into the centre of Ubud. The pool was always clean and staff were lovely. We had noisy neighbours during our stay and the reception staff were quick to sort this for us.
Unfortunately the hotel is let down by its limited breakfast choices, there was no option for bread/ toast and limited pastry selection. The showers are strange as the holder points it outwards towards the wall meaning you have to hold it to shower. The drainage is slow meaning the bathroom floor gets wet quickly.

EVITEL resort hotel rooms are sad .. basic with clearly no maintaince . The air conditioning doesn’t work in many rooms and some rooms are damp . The food is pathetic . For a place like Bali where fresh fruit , fish and greens are easily available , the food served is stale and barely meets average standards. The In door gym is unserviceable and yet shows as a facility on the website. The damper of my trip to Bali was EVITEL resort UBUD !!

Yes you can smoke on the balcony - just ask for an ashtray. Although our balcony was in the direct sun and no shade so was pretty hot (not that we were there much) and there's only 1 chair!
There are more places to choose from in the Ubud area.
