My wife and I recently stayed at Dwaraka: The Royal Villas in Bali for 2 nights in a one-bedroom private pool villa (room no. 505 - rice field view). I must say, our entire stay was absolutely stunning. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful, serene atmosphere. At the check-in lobby, a cold face towel and welcome drink were provided. Check-in was a breeze, and soon we were handed our villa keys. A lady from the reception guided us to our villa. There were a lot of stairs, and with no lifts, which could be challenging for some. The villa was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a private pool that was perfect for relaxing and taking in the tropical surroundings. A personal welcome letter was placed on the bed. The Balinese-style bed was comfortable with nets. The mattress was just right with a good amount of support and softness. Fresh fruits were provided. The room also had a mineral water dispenser unit, which is enough for 2-3 days. The minibar with drinks was free to consume. This is a plus point! The bathroom is quite spacious and divided into various zones - WC, shower, and basin. Refillable soap/shampoo is provided. The bathtub is in the backyard, open to nature. A nice ambiance. Evening tea is something you should not miss. It is free of charge, and you can have local cake/cookies with tea/coffee served at your villa. A great experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the food at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was not buffet style, but you could order as much from the menu. The overall presentation is amazing. What I didn't like is the service at the restaurant. The first day we arrived at 10:30 am for breakfast, and nobody told us that 10:45 am is the last order. After our first dish, when we tried to order, they told us the kitchen was closed, which was a bit shocking. Had they told us earlier, we could have ordered our dishes earlier. Anyways, they considered our order, and after a bit of waiting, it was served. The next day we ordered our breakfast in the room. After placing our order at 9:25, when it didn't arrive until 10, I gave a call. I was told there was no order placed. What? Earlier, a lady took my order, repeated it, and I was told it would be served in our room, but now it was a different story. I had my taxi pickup at 10:30. We immediately rushed to the restaurant and ordered our breakfast there, and had to rush to finish it on time. Apart from this, the food itself was absolutely delicious. The breakfast had a wide selection of options to choose from. Another highlight was the hotel's location. It's situated in a quiet area, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful rice paddies, yet it's still close enough to the main tourist areas and beaches. It was the perfect place to unwind and escape the crowds. Overall, our stay at Dwaraka: The Royal Villas was an unforgettable experience. The beautiful villas, friendly staff, delicious food, and serene location made for a truly enjoyable and relaxing vacation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and tranquil getaway in Bali. In summary, Dwaraka: The Royal Villas is a luxurious and tranquil getaway in Bali, providing guests with spacious and beautifully decorated villas, a private pool, friendly staff, delicious food, and a serene location. The service at the restaurant was slow, but the food was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation in Bali.

Hotel's Favourite
Our third stay at Dwaraka was just as amazing as before. This small boutique hotel is stunning. The staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel is situated just outside Ubud. We walked into Ubud centre easily but wouldn’t do it in the dark due to the lack of street lights and pavements. But the hotel run a complimentary shuttle service or a taxi is cheap. There are a few good restaurants close by. We stayed in a pool villa looking over the small rice fields. The villa is very big and very beautiful as is the garden and pool. We felt really spoiled and privileged to be staying in such a wonderful villa. We have also stayed in one of the regular rooms on a previous visit. These are lovely too and also very big with wonderful views from the large balcony. There are two gorgeous shared pools and you have them almost to yourself. They close one off for you if you want to have a floating breakfast. Breakfast is fantastic. We only had a couple of meals in the restaurant. We found the food quite expensive compared to similar restaurants in the area, although not the drinks. The food was good depending on what you choose. The local dishes were probably the best. The private romantic BBQ was fabulous. We booked direct with the hotel and took the package which included an airport pick up, hour long massage for two and a private romantic BBQ dinner. All in all fantastic value and difficult to beat. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Dwaraka and can’t wait to return. Thank you to the wonderful staff who know how to treat their guests.

Our 3rd stay at Dwaraka in a private pool villa with ricefield view has been as wonderful as previous stays here over the years! We totally Love It! Dwaraka is such a romantic gem; It is intimate, lush, beautifully taditionally balinese and with the most wonderful staff. The private pool villas are embedded in beautiful gardens and have very attractive interior decoration. We have 4 (!) showers inside & outside the villa, with an outdoor bathtub . The private pool is big enough and very private, surrounded by greenery and balinese statues. We could easily stay 10 days here! The restaurant is very good with a very big variety of different dishes that suits every taste. Fantastic a la carte breakfast. The location very close to Ubud is a big advantage, with free shuttle service every hour. The staff are exceptional; So serviceminded and friendly; This really feels like a Home Away from Home - a Heaven on Earth! Special thanks to the very helpful & professional receptionist Ayu Padwma <3

Dwaraka the Royal Villas is the place to stay when visiting UBUD. It is in a perfect location and so peaceful. It is located in the jungle with views of the rice fields, if you ask for the right villa. Villa 511, or 512 are the best villas with views of the rice fields overlooking the villa infinity pool. LOCATION Dwaraka is located about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud. They offer a shuttle that leaves on the hour every hour from 8am till 10 pm and drops you right outside the Royal Palace. It also offers a return shuttle from the same drop off point at 5mins past the hour. To use the shuttle you just need to be a reception 5 minutes before the shuttle is due to depart. There is a huge Circle K convenience store located right next to the front entrance of Dwaraka. There is also a number of local restaurants and cafes along the road outside Dwaraka. TIP - to travel around UBUD to different areas download the Smart Shuttle @ UBUD app. It is a new service the local government is trailing to make movement around Ubud easier. It is free of charge and operates like Uber and Grab, where you schedule a pick up in a brand new Toyota from a certain point and it drops you off. Use it to save your legs when walking around Ubud. It is a great service. ROOM Our villa 512 was called Govardana and was located down a few steps and very close to the reception. It has an external door that you entered into a beautiful courtyard and the main door to the villa. Once we walked into the villa we were blown away by its beauty. The king sized bed was so comfy and ensured a great nights sleep. The lounge area was great with a sleeper lounge, comfy chair and TV etc...The bathroom was huge and so pretty. The only downside was the outside toilet especially in the middle of the night. The highlight of the room was definitely the view over the infinity pool and the pool itself, which had glorious views of the rice fields below. The pool was a great place to chill and just relax immersed in nature. GROUNDS The grounds of Dwaraka are so beautiful and peaceful. There are two external pools located in Dwaraka and they are down and up a number of steps. As with being located in the jungle on the side of a hill there are many steps when getting around Dwaraka. That is the only downside to the resort, but they are manageable. With being located in the jungle there some usual problems with mosquitoes but each of the villa bathrooms has a spray that you can use to prevent being bitten. Make sure you take this spray with you if you visit the Monkey Forest. RESTAURANT There is only one restaurant in Dwaraka and it is up a set of stairs from the main reception area. It has amazing views over the jungle. The restaurant offers all the usual dishes one would expect in Indonesia as well as a wide variety for all cultures. The restaurant offers free afternoon tea every day and it was very tasty. The restaurant also offers room service and the delivery was very quick. SERVICE The staff at Dwaraka are amazing. From the drivers of the shuttle (who were full of information about Ubud and the surrounding areas), the room attendants and restaurant staff nothing is too much of a bother. They are very professional and very proud of their Bali. I have to shout out to the the front desk staff member PADMA, she was absolutely outstanding. She had excellent communication skills and was very helpful. She was very accommodating and quick in arranging a doctor to come and visit me in our villa due to me getting Bali Belly very badly. She rang the clinic explained the situation and the doctor attended within two hours and treated me for Balli belly. TIP If you do get Bali belly very badly - do not hesitate to call the Ubud Clinic and they will send you a doctor, nurse and paramedic to look after you. I had them visit our villa at 10pm and they assessed me, took bloods and put up IV drips with medications. They left our villa at around 2am and I was rehydrated, had vitamins and medications on board through the IV drip and was feeling heaps better. They even gave me medications to help me with any further symptoms through our remaining 4 days stay in Ubud. The cost was only $300 AUD which was so cheap for the level of care I received. This cost was claimable back through travel insurance. HONEST OPINION Dwaraka The Royal Villas is definitely a place you should stay at whilst staying in Ubud. It has pluses, pluses and pluses. There are no negatives and you can trust us that you will not be disappointed. THANK YOU Dwaraka The Royal Villas and we will be back to spend some further time in such a glorious and peaceful setting!!!

I stayed at Dwaraka The Royal Villas for three nights. The resort is amazing, very big, a lot of different kind of places to stay and the food was delicious. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, one time we also had “Floating breakfast” in our private pool, was my first experience and was very nice. They also have shuttle car to Ubud central for free so you can go and visit the center anytime. Dwaraka The Royal Villas- the best stay in Ubud.

This place is absolutely amazing. We stayed here for 4 days and i was impressed. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a very big bathroom. I love that there were no insects or any orher creatures that could come into the room or bathroom. It was the perfect place to relax. We had our own pool and outdoor space for lounging and swimming. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is great too and you can always have the breakfast in your room by the pool. They also have a free shuttle bus that can take you to Ubud center in 10 minutes. This place gives you the privacy, comfort and mindfulness that you need.

We arrived on Jan 7th from element hotel, ubud where we stayed for 1 night. Room was not ready and we were served welcome drinks. I requested the front desk to show us the property while we were waiting for our villa. We checked out the spa and my son got a massage there. When the villa was ready, we moved in. Within a few hours of moving in, we found over 5 lizards all over the living room. It really spooked me and I called front desk. Housekeeping took its sweet Tom to show up by which time only 2 were visible, the two kids who arrived caught one and pretended to catch another. When I asked him to show the lizard, he pretended that he did not understand me and left quickly. I had to call him again within 15 min because the lizard he pretended to catch surfaced again. This time he caught it. I told them there were more and they both got angry. They looked and then said that the lizards had gone out through the A/C unit. But the unit does not have an outlet, so that was an outrageous lie. I had to call them again and this time the kids were visibly angry. One of the kids got on phone with front desk and yelled initially and then calmed down and left without even looking at me. I then called the front desk after they left and told them that that the kids were rude and did not really want to catch the lizards. So this time when I called, a new kid showed up. He came with a ladder instead of a broom and he also was fashionably late. The lizard had gone behind A/C unit by the time he arrived. He called others and they told me that they cannot do anything and left. I was very disturbed by the attitude of housekeeping. They need to be trained not to be rude and make fun of customers. That night, all of a sudden there was no water. I called front desk and they told me that engineering was working on some water issue and that there will be no water for a few hours. I would have appreciated a notice of this. Luckily we had all showered but just imagine not having water after a humid day in Bali. The next day, I called housekeeping again because another 2 lizards were in the living room. This time they came and sprayed around the A/C unit. The next day, i saw another lizard and went to call front desk and realized that our phones were dead. I walked over to front desk to tell them that we need housekeeping and that our phones are dead. The engineering department came quickly and fixed the problem promptly. I needed engineering to come and fix water pressure and they did that also very quickly and efficiently. I realized that the front door has an opening and it was not closing properly. Engineering fixed that promptly. Housekeeping needs to inform front desk when they see issues like broken door knobs, doors not closing, dead phones etc. They however do not do that. They rush through the cleaning and leave. They do not even check that we need more coffee or sugar packets. Myself and my daughter used the spa for a head message and it was not good at all. I reported that to front desk and she said okay. She never attempted to understand what the issue was and how they could make it better. The kitchen staff though is another story. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that food is prepared to your liking. My son had some special requests and they got it right. Overall a good stay but a lot to improve in terms of customer service. The villa is beautiful but better maintenance is needed.

I stayed at Dwaraka The Royal Villas for three nights while in Ubud. I made a reservation to be picked up from the airport. The transfer service came a few hours late, but after seeing what traffic is like in Bali, I understand now it is out of their control. I was here around the holidays and attended a Christmas Dinner with traditional dances and it was a fun experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are well maintained. I stayed in a private villa with it's own pool and I really felt like I was on vacation. The villa was perfect and the pool and scenery was amazing! This was the perfect stay, I wish I could have stayed longer. Breakfast in the mornings was amazing, I liked the fact you can pick courses off a menu. Everything I had was good and the coffee was great. The staff was very helpful and kind. We made a booking for a day trip and it went smoothly. Overall, Dwaraka was one of the best hotels I've stayed at and I can't recommend it enough. There is still so much to talk about like the free shuttle, nearby restaurants, etc.. Trust me, your stay here will be a vacation in itself!
