We just spent the night at Blue Karma Nestling in Ubud. It was an amazing experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. They brought my wife’s bathroom bag to us before we left; she forgot it in the room. My wife, my daughter and myself took the 7:15 am walk in the rice paddies, led by a young local member of the staff. We were super impressed with his knowledge of the area and the agriculture. Also, he introduced us to a friend of his, an old rice farmer. My wife and I got side by side Balinese massages that were the best we’ve had. We had dinner and, the included, breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food was excellent and the service exceptional. Our rooms were very luxurious. The room my wife and I stayed in had huge sliding glass windows that overlooked the jungle. When we arrived, there was a torrential downpour with constant lightning and thunder. It was great to watch with the windows wide open. The bathroom was huge with two carved stone basins and every imaginable thing you could need, including hair dryer, essential oils soaps and conditioner, bottle opener, stocked refrigerator and a safe. Oh yes, we helped ourselves to the in room coffee and tea in the morning. The atmosphere is relaxing and luxurious. I had to laugh when I commented on the great jungle night sounds of frogs and birds, and one of the staff told me they once got a complaint about the noise (we could not hear it inside our room). This is truly a five star hotel retreat.

We came to host a yoga retreat at Blue Karma Nestling in Ubud. This place far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spectacular, the staff the kindest, and the food and treatments were nourishing. I have lead about 15 yoga retreats around the world and in my opinion this is perhaps the most amazing location I have ever hosted a retreat in. The Yoga Shala is large and comfortable with all props. My only little note is that the mats need to be cleaned more often, but I know that can be easily fixed.
The location for us was perfect, right in the jungle and close to rice paddies and close enough to Ubud to go there daily if need be. I thought I was a beach girl until now. But I am realizing I definitely connect with the jungle. It is very healing.
I loved it so much that I am planning my next one back already! Kadek Jian has been most lovely to work with and I look forward to planning another adventure with you soon.

I was in awe of Blue Karma as soon as I arrived! The grounds were thoughtfully decorated and full of natural beauty. The staff were kind and open hearted. The food at their restaurant was delicious. Our sleeping accommodations were spacious. I especially loved my outdoor shower. The bed was very comfortable and the lighting was cozy. They offered drinks and chocolate in the room for a small fee but also provided complimentary water. The pool area was so relaxing, with a majestic view of nature, that I fell asleep on the lounge chair. We had a great complimentary guided tour of the rice fields with a fantastic tour guide that was very knowledgeable about Balinese culture as he lived in the same village as Blue Karma. What an amazing experience!!! Not to mention they also offer all sorts of wellness activities including sound healing, yoga, massage and facials. I heard the massages are fantastic as a couple of my family members received them.

I would highly recommend staying at Blue Karma Secrets in Ubud.
This was the best solo holiday I’ve had to relax and recharge, and I’d like to thank Dora for being a major influence - the Ayurvedic yoga massage was one of the most intense experiences.
The retreat package included daily yoga with Dora, breakfast, spa treatment and more. It’s very well priced if you’re looking for something shorter than 7-10 days, and want some flexibility it’s ideal.
I stayed in the Bungalow Deluxe, this room was located towards the top of the property near the spa. It’s quiet, private, the rooms are always clean.
You don’t need to leave the resort (if you don’t want to) because the restaurants food is incredible and the staff are lovely. You can walk into town through the rice paddies, one of the staff accompanied me the first time 🙂
I loved that they also helped organise drivers/shuttles etc via WhatsApp. And prior to landing in Bali I would speak with Dora on whatsapp (and I’m still in contact with her now ❤️💕)
I’ve already referred friends, all experienced the same magic.

If you want to stay in a place surrounded by nature and yet be close to Ubud, you've made the right choice with Blue Karma. The premisses is embedded in the jungle, wildlife everywhere and the houses have a spectacular open space. The decoration is very tasteful, everything is clean and it feels like you're the only guest, because it is so private and quiet. The yoga floor is amazing and so is the teacher. Food is good, nice music that creates a wonderful atmosphere. But the very best part is the staff. I've never stayed anywhere where the staff was this friendly. They help you with everything and arrange anything you wish for. I'd definitely come back!

What a healing place! I came for the Yogi’s Inner Journey package that included daily spa and private yoga sessions to decompress from work and post-pandemic angst. I found the accommodations, grounds, people, food and wellness services exemplary — and exactly what I needed. I had a quiet room facing the jungle ravine where nature’s sounds and microclimate set me up for deep sleep.
I didn’t leave the resort at all for 2 days and just replenished myself with the healing surroundings, solid yoga practice from a great Balinese instructor and amazing food. The Botanist restaurant has a whole list of Matcha and Moringa menus!!
So glad I found this place! Will definitely come back to recharge. Thank you Blue Karma Ubud great job all around!

Blue Karma hotel offers the perfect Ubud holiday. The green tranquility of Central Bali, completely surrounded with beautiful plants and trees. Your daily soundtrack is birds calling and the wind in the leaves. A free shuttle into town, or a ten minute scooter, brings you to all Ubud has to offer. Things that stand out about the hotel are firstly the staff, and then the setting and amenities. Every need has been considered. The staff are forever smiling and engaged. Nothing is too much trouble. The food has been fresh,delicious,and creative. The coffee amazing. It's been our second stay, repeat visits a rarity for us. It certainly won't be the last.

The location is very beautiful. A lot of outside areas. They have a big infinity pool with a nice view and some baldachin beds around. The room is very big and spacious with beautiful interior design all natural materials and very well put together to create an elegant yet very cozy atmosphere. I love that the bathroom is closed and no insects or gekos can come in making the experience even more comfortable. They also have a restaurant with very tasty food and a relatively big menu to choose from. If you are a smoker they also have a smoking area in the restaurant but thats the only place. They offer free shuttle bus tu Ubud center and back that is 15 min away.

Checked in for 5 nights at Blue Karma and it was amazing from start to finish. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. The room was kept clean throughout the stay and the restaurant serves delicious food (would definitely recommend the lava cake)!

Acarya Vibhakarananda Avadhuta (aka "Dada"), is a meditation teacher, who have been praticing yoga and meditation for more than 25 years, and have been teaching meditation and yoga in many countries in Asia and Australia. He live in his ashram in Denpasar – Bali. He is a Tantric monk inspired by the philosophy and teachings of Ananda Marga, founded by Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar (aka Shrii Shrii Anandamurti), a philosopher, author, social reformer, humanitarian and spiritual leader. He went on to pursue training in India as a Brahmacari, junior monk, and eventually a sanyasin, senior yoga monk. From 2001 to 2012, he spent most of his time teaching yoga and meditation in Taiwan and Australia and eventually returned to his native island of Bali, bringing his devotional work home. In this Tantric Meditation session, Dada will share thought-provoking teachings based on the ancient practice of Tantra, in theory-philosophy and practice of chanting-meditation-and mental purification through colour offering.
