We had a great stay and will return. Our room was very large, clean with modern facilities. This hotel is for relaxing and as a base for explaining Ubud. The hotel offers free yoga classes and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet beside the pool was excellent.

We stayed at Adiwana Svarga Loka for 2nights although wished we could stay more. The best part was they upgraded us to a Grande Deluxe room with balcony at check-in.
In the midst of a forest, resort Adiwana is a beauty in itself. About 5~10mins walk away from Ubud market where you will find all restaurants and stores. Wooden rooms, forest village set up and full of trees all around that you really feel like lazing around in the balcony listening to the birds chirping and air breeze.
Staff in the rest are also polite and cheerful, special mentions to Pitah the receptionist who welcomed us with a pleasant smile and always ready to help.
The breakfirst spread was ok I would say compared to the other hotels I have stayed in Bali/Kuta but taste is good.
There are some activities such as yoga and tea that they offer as complementary however spa services are paid and premium. I visited the Ayusha spa in the resort and was happy with the set up and options but you really need the time to have a good experience which even they emphasis needless to say a minimum of 15mn rupiah.

Also note since the resort is amidst Forest black ants and mosquitoes are a regular in rooms. Not disturbing and the house keeping try best to keep them out but just so that you are aware.

The resort itself was peaceful and an authentic Bali hotel. Good, free yoga class which is a nice benefit. Breakfast had enough choices. I’ve seen complaints on here about the range: if it was a 5 star hotel then I think that feedback is justified but it’s not. It has fruit, granola, yogurt, eggs, fresh juice, bread, pastries, hot breakfast options so there’s plenty for most people. Bed was comfy. Staff were friendly but not too in your face.

A few things to note though:
- it’s a good 10/15 minute walk into town and unless you want to hire a scooter/get a taxi scooter that’s your only option. Car taxis aren’t really a thing in Ubud. I enjoyed the walk but others may not be so keen
- despite it being a peaceful resort there is no sound insulation in the rooms. I was disturbed every night of my 4 night stay by loud talking neighbours and the doors make a terrible screeching sound every time they’re opened and closed
- one of the spa rooms is right next to the pool so if there’s a loud talker in the pool it’s not very relaxing having a massage while they’re talking (they obviously follow me!)

The rooms at Adiwana are gorgeous with high ceilings, wooden doors/windows/furnitures. The room/bathroom were very clean. They provided clean towels, dental kits, slippers, robes and the lotion that they provided was so good that we purchased one to take home with us. The buffet breakfast was awesome with both Balinese and continental options (halal available) with made to order eggs and coffee. They even changed the menu around a bit everyday, I guess to keep it exciting. They offered breakfast from 7am to 9pm but the buffet was only till 10am. They also offered afternoon tea time from 2-5pm. We had floating breakfast at the pool for an extra INR 100k and it was delicious/fabulous. They offered free yoga at 8:30am for about an hour and it was one of the best sessions I’ve attended and came out feeling happy and stress-free. There were no TVs in the room to keep it calming in the room. There wasn’t a fridge either but we stored our kid’s milk in their kitchen fridge w/o any issues. They had 24/7 staff support at the reception. Speaking about staff, they were not just helpful going above and beyond but they would jump in to pamper us any opportunity they got. Special shout out to Pita and Merta. Staying here was an entire experience and we absolutely loved it! If we visit Ubud again, we would even look else where and will book rooms here again. The experience and value for money was much better than our experience staying in an expensive villa. A/c and hot water was great. Sorry didn’t have a pic of the room/bathroom and couldn’t upload a video to the review.

I have been to Bali and Ubud more times than I can count, and this hotel is one of the best Ive stayed at. The hotel a beautiful traditional design spread out over a large area overlooking a picturesque area of the river. Room is large with quality furnishings and finishes. The hotel grounds are stunning, but beware if you have mobility issues there are a lot of stairs if you want to go to the riverside swimming pool which is gorgeous. They serve afternoon tea which I didn't try and have yoga classes every morning. I joined a yoga class and the instructor was very good. I also borrowed a mat and did yoga on the deck by the river and it was heavenly. The location of the hotel is excellent in my opinion, it's 20-30 minutes walk from the busy town centre or a few minutes by car or scooter. It's only a few minutes walk to the the Champuhan Ridge Walk which is a good bit of morning exercise. Julan Raya Penestanan has some lovely restaurants and shops when you walk the opposite way from town and the road isn't too busy. There are a few vegan restaurants close to the hotel. I would recommend trying Alchemy Holistic whether you are vegan or not. The food and the experience of seeing all the ingredients they use is a delight and they have heaps of vegan desserts and chocolate too. Alchemy is also a yoga centre with an amazing yoga shala that needs to be seen to be appreciated. I participated in a yin class there and it was very good and would be suitable for almost anybody. Beware of mosquitoes in the early evening, bitey insects dont help you relax but they provide some natural repellent. Svarga Loka have a nice breakfast menu, I had the Dragon Bowl most days which is healthy and beautiful. I tried the eggs florentine and this wasn't good. The baugette was hard or stale and inedible and when I asked for something else to replace they only had white toast. The Hollandaise sauce appeared to just be melted butter. I suggest the breakfast chef be trained to make Hollandaise sauce if these dishes are offered on the menu. The only other thing that wasn't perfect was that my rain shower didn't work but there was also a hand shower so that was fine. I do not like critisising this hotel at all because it is an awesome place to stay in a lovely relaxing tranquil environment. The staff are helpful and welcoming, everyone from the reception staff to the gardeners greet you warmly. I generally stay at cheaper accommodation in Bali but for a shorter stay I think approx $100 AUD a night is great value for such a lovely hotel. I wish I was back there now.

That was my second visit to the wonderful Svarga Loka, a destination within a destination. The resort is perched on the side of a lush river gorge with its numerous buildings and facilities linked by walkways, set amidst well-kept gardens.

The staff are friendly in that unmistakable Balinese way, always smiling and engaging, with our comfort and enjoyment at the forefront of their graceful efforts.
Svarga Loka is a haven set apart from the ever increasing bustle of Ubud and surrounds.

Food on offer at the resort is of high quality, be it for breakfast, afternoon tea, or at dinner. The dining experiences were served by friendly and attentive staff. A daily feature of our stay was the afternoon served in a dedicated pavilion space overlooking a courtyard fishpond and garden.

The on-site spa is beside the river and offers seriously good massages that are expertly performed. Not having to traverse the Ubud chaos after a massage enhances the relaxing experience.

Svarga loka holds such a special place in our Bali experience that we changed our itinerary to revisit it again for another four nights before returning home. I'm sure that won't be last either.....

Beautiful hotel 15 minutes walk from the center of Ubud but away and overlooking the valley.
The varied restaurant and breakfast buffet are excellent and all the rooms are very well equipped with cleaning every day and fridge with free drink - prefer those away from the rooster who always sings...
Near great restaurants, massages,...
And above all the welcome and availability of the employees is remarkable, always present to give us information.

In short .without hesitation if staying in Ubud ( taxi to the center at 4-5 euros )

I was burnt out and exhausted from work, so on a last min whim I booked a 7 day Balinese Healing package at Adiwana Svarga. To be honest I didnt know what to expect but I was attracted to the fact that there was a bunch of different treatments, that it was set in Ubud and that there were a few activities that I had always wanted to do a little more like yoga, but that I’d never really given myself the time to practice.

On day 1 I realised that booking this trip, this location and this package was one of the best decisions Ive ever made in life. And as the week wore on, I only got more sure of my decision!

Adiwana is quite literally set in the Balinese jungle of Ubud, the resort is perched along the cliff faces leading to the river that runs through the centre of Bali. The grounds have such a magical feel and the sacred figs which are 100s of years old add to the whole healing vibe of the resort. The spa centre located on the river bank is private and open air, which means you get to enjoy all the live sounds of nature while you are getting any one of their amazing manage treatments. The 90 min treatment as the sun was setting treated me to all the sounds of the jungle and was quite literally as if I had been transported to a far away place.

The villas are traditional Balinese style with open air shower and baths but my favorite room feature believe it or not was the automatic bidet! Everything here is lux and designed with the traveller in mind to feel like royalty…

And that includes the service. To say that I was treated like a Queen is an understatement. Its well known that the Balinese are known for their generosity and commitment to ensuring everyone is looked after, but the the staff at Adiwana take this to the next level! From the wait staff in the restaurant (which by the way serves the BEST food!) through to the front desk and gardening staff the service was outstanding. In particular Puspa and Arista who looked after me for the week truly made me not just feel like royalty but welcomed me into their culture like family.

I arrived stressed and burnt out and I left peaceful, healed and have even been able to continue my yoga practice at home (thank you Suci for starting me off with the basics!). This trip has made me a better person and taught me so much. I cannot wait to visit Adiwana Svarga Loka again! Thank you to everyone who made it so special.

Everything was perfect with a caring and smiling welcome. All the staff is very kind and always available. Upon arrival the room I had booked was not completely suitable for us because located on the ground floor. We asked to change and the staff really went out of their way to satisfy us. There was no more availability on the floors, so they offered us another room with an extra charge that we gladly accepted because the setting was sumptuous: a suite with kitchen and living room as an entrance, then the spacious room with double bed and mosquito net, a dressing room and a bathroom that had access to the terrace.

From our bed we had a magnificent view in the canopy and on the terrace with armchair and table a Jacuzzi completed this magic.

Breakfast is served on a shaded terrace in front of the pool. The dishes are hearty and delicious with a nice buffet choice.

The hotel has a riverside spa with swimming pool.

This resort, just a short scooter ride from UBUD’s city centre, not only makes you feel at ease with the nature around you, but also offers just as rejuvenating Things to do like yoga, dance classes, pottery classes, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property and highly recommend it to all travelers wanting to know the Balinese tranquility.

We stayed at Adiwana Svarga Loka for 3 nights.
Location: It's located nearby to Ubud market but it's little tough to walk to the market as there is a steep downhill from the hotel to main road with not much lighting. Grab taxi is available but it's little expensive as it costed us 60K IDR for 900 mtr ride in evening

Rooms: We stayed in rooms with balcony and it was very comfortable. These rooms are available near the reception area so we didn't have to walk a lot

Service/Food: Food should be the highlight of this hotel. Restaurant is situated nearby to a pool and there is a river flowing down which can be viewed from the deck area. Food variety was really good even for vegetarian like us. Preparation of food was really nice and special attention was given to little details like what dips should go with salad and how to present it. Pita at reception desk was really helpful and mentioned that they have all day breakfast so we can go anytime even during lunch hours to have the breakfast
Overall we had a good stay here and the smiling faces of the whole team sitting at reception area made our day even better
