Kayumanis Ubud was an amazing experience. The property itself feels extremely secluded compared to many of the downtown hotels, while still being accessible. Kayumanis offers a shuttle to take you to and from many places in Ubud City itself, which makes planning small trips around town easy. The villas are spacious and quiet, and the dining area has a stunning view of the natural environment surrounding the property. Additionally, we were greeted with free breakfast for the duration of our stay, which was an unexpected but wonderful surprise that in all honesty made the trip so much easier. We were also given a free 30-minute back and shoulder massage at the spa that was one of the best welcomes I've ever had to a hotel. The breezy openness of the villa was a treat, and the private pool was the perfect temperature to cool off in.
We had some plumbing trouble while we were there which admittedly did take some time to sort out (after a couple attempts at fixing, we were eventually moved to an identical villa without the issue). The villas themselves are quite open, so be prepared for this. The only enclosed space in the villa we stayed in was the bedroom. Everything else, from the living/dining area to the bathroom, are located outside and under the roof. We loved this open atmosphere, but I understand that it may not be for everyone. Additionally, the villas are all separately spaced around the property and are accessible via various sets of stairs and stone walkways. While this wasn't a problem for us, it's not the most accessible, especially for those with disabilities.

Arrived in torrential rain (very atmospheric!). We fell in love with this place. a quiet getaway.... overwhelmed by the tranquility and peacefulness ! The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, attentive but unobtrusive. The service was first-rate.
The room was a quiet haven, woke to the sound of bird song, a pleasure to retreat to. The pool is lovely in natural environment. First impressions were of the eclectic and artistic Balinese mix of furniture and general design. It is spacious... the dining with a fairly equipped kitchenette and living area are in one entity, bedroom and luxurious bathroom in another, with a private swimming pool in between. Bathrooms are large and one end leads to an outdoor shower. If you would like to have the transition from urban to nature for your stay I would recommend you to stay here
The on-site open air restaurant was first class with magnificent views of the valleys and friendly service, serves good food and excels with the breakfast.
Kayumanis Ubud is absolutely an exquisite rain forest retreat and an ideal sanctuary to get away and be at one with nature while relaxing in luxury

Staying at Kayumanis Ubud has been a dream. From staff to service and activities provided, everything was just perfect. Coming back to the resort after a long day trip away from the resort feels like coming home, as you’ll get the warmest welcome back greetings from staff at the front. No request or question is ever too much for the staff there and every corner is kept spotless at the resort at all times. The forest massage at the resort is one of the best I’ve had at Ubud. You can also see the Ayung river at the resort. There is a large selection of breakfast and dinner options offered. From American to Indonesian, something suitable for everyone. Location wise, it’s only a 10-15min drive into town, and they have a shuttle service just for you to goto Ubud centre, so no car pooling is required. One could easily spend a whole week here and not miss the rest of the world. I will definitely be back again.

What made this place so special was the outdoors living areas. Only our bedroom was inside. Just getting back on its feet from Covid there were 11 out of 23 villas ready for occupancy which made it incredibly peaceful.
Staff so friendly, they couldn’t do enough. Always smiling and working so hard to get this beautiful property up and running again. Breakfast was amazing. Nasi goreng for us every day with fresh fruit platter & a bakery basket. Other options available but we just loved the Indonesian option.

The room and layout of the villa was quiet and private with an outdoor seating and dining area , complete with sofas and TV.
The room itself was rather dark and had a lack of drawers and storage space.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful.
The spa and massage by the two very talented therapists was excellent.
Choice and presentation of food very good. Linen napkins at mealtimes would have been preferred to the small paper ones.
It was lovely having fresh fruit provided in the villa, but needed a fruit knife, plate and napkin , none of which was provided , so it was impossible to eat.
The resort is about 15 minute car drive from Ubud centre , so is a very peaceful to stay. There is a complementary transport service from the hotel to town.
With small modifications, Kayumanis could be really wonderful.

We loved the stay at Kayumanis. We stayed in the private pool villa with open bathroom. Cleanliness of the facility was great, friendly and helpful staff around the whole resort including restaurant and by far the best hospitality we have come across. There is a free car drive to ubud centre available which was very useful. Breakfast was generally very good. Definitely would recommend this place.

How beautiful and private our pool villa was. The gardens so lush and immaculately maintained. The walls around the villa garden, covered in lovely green creepers, ficus I think, created beautiful privacy. A tropical paradise! The bed was super comfy and while the other areas of the villa were open, the bedroom had walls and the air con was great. The outdoor shower was incredible, with water pressure that created a massage at the same time showering. By the way, there was some privacy for the WC. The meals were delicious, some we had in our room and others as the beautify located restaurant, on a cliff with delightful, expansive and deep valley views.
Massages were a joy, in room and in the spa area. We walked down to the beautiful communal pool, with infinity edge into the valley.
Reception staff were always so helpful, especially arranging some beautiful walks for us and private transport to and from Ubud city centre. Additionally, we were delighted by and invitation from staff to join a religious ceremony that was being conducted during one of the days of our stay.

My partner and I stayed here in May 2022. Now can I just say, this place was beyond breath taking. The photos don’t even do this gorgeous retreat justice. From the professional 10/10 massages to that stunning restaurant to the amazingly friendly and helpful staff, I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It is the perfect place to relax and reset. We felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. They had all the little extras like the fridge stocked with drinks and the towels left by the main pool and during room service they would set up your entire dinner just as they would at the restaurant. They also had a complementary car service that will drop you anywhere you like in Ubud. I cannot recommend heading to this retreat more.

We stayed for two weeks at this private villa resort and spa. We were pleasantly surprised of the quality of villa, with it's own private pool with complete privacy. Staff are very friendly with extremely good service at all time during our stay. Food was excellent with a wide variety of Asian and a western dishes, would recommend the special Zucchini Fritta poached eggs for breakfast. Guest who stay more than 5 days get a special breakfast menue selection.
The taxi to Ubud town centre is complementary as well as daily afternoon tea and snacks.
Would strongly recommend this resort and spa for those looking for quality resort, service and flexibility to explore Bali on any day excursion.

This location is not elderly or handicap friendly. It’s definitely not a 5 star as advertised and the upkeep and cleanliness would place it at a 3 star at best. We were expecting a 5 star place and upon checkin and review of the facility, we immediately requested if we could cancel the remainder of the trip there and would still pay for 2 days. The front desk asked us to go to our room and they would contact us later to discuss. They contacted us later to say no refunds and would charge us the full amount. The bathroom was not clean, the room had wear and tear, and there was mold and mildew in the room. The main pool was full of debris and left not clean and the spa was not operable. The temperature in the rooms is not able to hit a comfortable air conditioned temperature so you’ll be miserable until night time hits. We checked out of this location and went to Ritz Carlton. It was night and day difference. The price is comparable and the amenities and experience at Ritz Carlton is 100x better than what this place had to offer. Don’t waste your money, time, or travel experience. Do yourself a favor and skip this location and go to Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons!

I'd contact them direct ..i'm guessing the answer is no . We found it confronting the first day but then we enjoyed it. Extremely private so no issues there. at all. We were worried about bugs etc but no issues at all and they have mozzie coils. and they fog the resort regularly - Not that I would not put an external shower etc in my own home but its a different experience and part of the "jungle experience" and part of the reason for travelling . The toilet , dressing room etc is all undercover but not airconditioned.
PS the jungle is really below the resort which is beside residential properties ...so its not "Indiana Jones " territory haha
