Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

For all hotel guests, they expect as a basic minimum a clean room with a comfortable bed, a relaxing inviting pool, and a restaurant with good food. The Pertiwi Bisma 2 in Ubud provides all this and more in a beautiful topical landscape. In fact this hotel has two large inviting pools to choose from as well as a spa on the premisses to luxuriate in. There is however an X factor that most hotels either overlook or fail to achieve. That is genuinely friendly welcoming staff. From the manager Ida Bagus Jelantik down to the gardening and cleaning staff everyone made us feel not just like hotel guests, but instead part of their actual family. This friendliness and warmth was not contrived but genuinely delivered and heartfelt. This alone made our stay one of the most relaxing we have experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. If you are looking for a hotel experience in Ubud that will give you lasting fond memories then stay at the Pertiwi Bisma 2. You will not be disappointed. A big loving thankyou to everyone at the Bisma 2 for a most wonderful experience and pleasant memories. Jane and Peter Ward Darwin, Australia

We enjoyed the stay at the hotel check-in was normal. My only problem was when we took a shower the tub never drained, and the water reached to our ankle. Breakfast was Soso, but we walked down the street and got breakfast for a lot cheaper than what we paid at the hotel. The rooms had limited plugs to charge your cell phone tablets and other electronics. However, the staff was very friendly and courteous and helpful.

We stayed in a downstairs super deluxe room for 4. nights. On the positive side: The staff were friendly. The grounds by the lower pool are pleasant Close to Monkey Forrest and plenty of restaurants in the street. On he downside: Bath / shower did not drain No hot water in the bathroom basin Small leaks and a smell of sewage in the bathroom Wifi was patchy Room very dark and unable to read in the evening Bed had definitely seen better days. In short, a significant amount of maintenance is required to bring this property up to even a moderate standard

A lovely stay at Pertiwi. We cannot fault the location, cleanliness of the hotel and staff here which were very attentive. The hotel is a nice 10 minute walk into the centre of Ubud with a wide variety of shops/restaurants along the way and only a 10 minute walk to the monkey forest. The rooms, adequate but basic, were good value at only £30 per night. The pool areas were lovely too. The only criticisms were breakfast was slightly overpriced and the air conditioning unit leaked onto the floor but aside from this, a great stay and would definitely recommend.

We stayed in their Super Deluxe Double rooms and were disappointed. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the bathrooms are an absolute no-go. Not clean at all and could use a definite touch-up. Mold/grime in the corners, bathroom was flooded after a shower even with a shower curtain, bathroom floor needs a good scrub and unfortunately our toilet bowl leaked. (Floor around it was always wet) The location is good - in a little side street, nice and quiet. The pools were lovely. Staff was friendly. Perhaps the newer bungalows would have been better.

Amazing location, friendly staff, and very clean rooms. Wanted to love it more than I did. The place was so relaxing and serene surrounded by trees, the bed was really comfy, and it was nice having a balcony. But, the bathrooms aren’t nice - very white, clinical lighting and very dated facilities. No overhead shower, just a handheld one in the bath. Main thing for me was the lack of water - this was available to be refilled at reception but for the lower rooms especially this was a bit of a trek. They should install filtered water fountains by each building. Also, breakfast wasn’t great.

This place was amazing, right in the jungle of Ubud. Literally a 5 minute walk to the main Monkey Forest Road. Waking up to a view of palm trees and exotic birds every morning was like a drop of medicine we didn’t know we needed. We stayed here for 4 days and it wasn’t enough, we will 100% be coming back for longer. Also the food was phenomenal, so delicious and so much care went into making our stay comfortable. Clean lodges and really good WiFi if you need it. The staff we extremely friendly and willing to help with anything. Can’t wait to re- visit!

before my trip to Bali i really planned on staying in a resort where i could really feel Bali, i want my villa Balinese style, i want it surrounded by mother nature but also close to the center of Ubud, it took me a while to decide which resort and finally i decided to book at Pertiwi Bisma, no regrets, i love it, its everything i wanted. thanks for the amazing experience while we were in Bali, i love the infinity pools and evrhthing else, i love that when u step out of the resort everything is just there, bars, restaurants, spas, starbucks and Ubud Cith Center is also walking distance. its very clean, i love the food, and the staffs are very nice and kind. i would love to come back and would recomend this to my family and friends. thanks

Pertiwi is in a very good location. A little walk into town - 25 mins from yoga barn, 15 mins from clear cafe or seniman, but ideal for the peace. Nice pool area. Comfy beds. Bathroom could do with a shower too but still, pretty good for the £££. My only little complaint is that the room service/pool menu could do with a little less western food and more local cuisine. Enjoyed my stay!
