This property has been operating for at least more than 6 years. The location for those who want to be closer to the center of Ubud is not on the list but those who want to be in the nature of Ubud are very in accordance with the rice fields and the natural atmosphere, they have it.
Everything operates well, but I believe this can be much more better if you pay attention to a few basic things in service and maintenance.
Hopefully have the opportunity to return to stay and find something better than usual.
Thank you Sapulidi !!

The place is surrounded by greens. Moving branches from big trees, grass, plants and flowers are so relaxing to watch. The birds chirping every morning give every guests a sweet welcome. Beds, bathroom essentials and WiFi connection is okay. HOWEVER, the entire room is a bit dusty. But that wouldn’t ruin my entire experience. The food is good especially the ribs and mi goreng plus it is so affordable! There’s a lot of walking going in and out of the hotel but the area is perfect for coffee suckers. So much coffee shops once you step out of the hotel premises. Restaurants and souvenir shops are countless. You’ll go cray-cray! Perfect for a Holiday trip with a loved one. Definitely going back with my love!

Good Afternoon, Ms Desi and Sapulidi Resort Ubud team.

Travel with my husband and our 2 kids, We absolutely loved the entire experience we had at your resort.
Thank you again for being hospitable!
This place bring us back to nature, everything was fantastic.

We even don't want to move from our room, because it's so comfortable and the atmosphere was pleasant, natural sound of birds singing and the gentle sound of the water was extremely entertaining.

Thank you for treating us like VIP at your place. Words cannot express how much your generosity really means to us.
Definitely will be back again.

Old, rooms are avarage. Not good price in my opinion, there is some noise from neighoubrhood, on the other hand service is nice as anywhere else in Bali.
Also a lot of traffic to get to UBud. Stay if you must

Me and husband arrived on 2nd jan for 2 night stay. We choose river view room type. Staff is friendly and helpfull. We enter the room, and saw that the river is dirty & not good view. The interior is surrounded by clear glass with one layer of curtain. This make us feel like living in the cage. If you open front side curtain, you'll have no view and people can see what is inside. No privacy. And if you open the other side, you will see dirty river and unorganized background.
The bed had a mosquito net, looks clean but its smell of dust. My husband who has really sensitive reaction, immediately sneezing couple times.
Poor electronic terminal. There are two on both bed side with the hairdryer hang on it. Its weird and not a proper locations.
They provides water cooker, only if you want to cook the water u have to bring next yo your bedside table. Again this is no not proper.
Inside the room they do not provide mirror table for your make up, and there is no trash bin. you havr to walk in and out near the toilet.
The worst is i saw 3small cockroaches. This is scarry.
Bath area is provided with small private pool. Too pitty the water is dirty and it was a death insect in it.
i saw a death insect also around the shower area.
Breakfast menu and presentations is poor,
Need alot of improvement.

We stayed in Ubud in Sapu Lidi Resort for 5 days in Villa 204. Very nice view in to rice fields. Private pool to share with another villa. Great ~16m public pool in the rice fields. Very friendly staff and all was clean. Cost-free shuttle service from hotel to center of Ubud every 2 hours. Breakfast was very good with fruits, juices, omelette, rice, noodles, coffee, tea, bread. The airconditioned room was very large, clean and had an outside bathroom with rainshower shower. I would get back 100%.

in my opinion this resort has it all. I travelled with my two other friends (all girls) and we stayed in one bedroom lake view villa. and since we're all girls we asked lots of things and the staffs answer all of our quenstions and needs in a very friendly manner, even when we called the receptionist in the midnight just to arrange some biketour for us.
the room was great, clean, very spacious, comfortable with rice field view. I particularly like that they use solid wood for their door, wardbrobe, windows, etc. I also like their rustic, traditional and modern balinese interior and exterior design.
when breakfast was coming, you can expect a delightful and delicious meals. it's all in a big portion, so we're all had full energy that we need when biking.
in all in all it was a complete package for me.

My friend and I booked a 1 week retreat at Sapulidi in Ubud in April 2013. Our main goal was to find a hotel near yoga barn. This is a new hotel which had its soft launch in Feb 2013. We booked the deluxe room and were upgraded to a villa with a private pool so we got a great deal. We figured it was because the shared pool and spa are still under construction (expected to be completed in July/August 2013). The villas are built in traditional Balinese style (wooden floors, thatched roof) with an outdoor toilet and shower. The walls are glass (with blackout curtains) so we fully enjoyed our garden/ lily pond view. The other rooms have views of the rice padi fields. The grounds are very lovely with fish ponds, flowers and plenty of lush greenery in every direction. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and ubud - there's lots to do (yoga barn, zen spa, kush spa) and eat (don't miss naughty nuri's, kafe, cafe lotus, alchemy, kagemusha and ibu oka).

Villa positives: Very spacious, comfy king size with mosquito net, LCD TV with cable (HBO), mini-fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, heated pool, air conditioning, can have breakfast delivered to the room

Considerations: Nature = presence of insects/critters and the noises they make, wifi is good for most of the time but sometimes out. We had a few power outages (although they lasted less than 15 mins each time after calling the service desk). Short flights of steps from the main lobby to the rooms. Lobby and restaurant non-air conditioned.

Location is pretty far for Ubud central (20-30 min drive) and about 10-15 mins drive from yoga barn. Nothing much in the neighborhood but we're glad that the hotel provided free transport within ubud. The hotel has 3 vehicles in service.

Service: Service was excellent. There are only 18 villas so staff know you personally and attend to your every need. Not all the staff speak english well but it was enough to get by. Driver was happy to drive us to our destinations and pick us up when/where-ever in ubud - for the weekdays (with lesser guests) the response was immediate but on busier weekends we had to wait 15-30 minutes longer.

Breakfast: Included in our room price was ala-carte there's a nice range of selection from Indonesian (rice/ noodle / porridge) and Western (cereal, eggs, bacon/ham/sausage, fruit, yogurt, pastries, juices) but essentially the same choices everyday.

After booking on this hotel on booking.com I was very excited to visit this hotel but when I got there I felt very Dissapointed and quite frankly glad we had only booked one night!!!
The river was dirty I was not impressed by our room with its own 'private pool' which We would not even get into.
The hotel is to far out to walk to the main strip so we decided to have dinner at the hotel, the food was awful!! I ordered chicken and the waitress asked how I would like my chicken cooked....... Which isn't a great start!!
Breakfast was included which is very basic but after dinner I was glad to just have cereal.
The only good thing about the hotel I felt was the spa. The massage was the best I had in Bali so would definitely recommend booking in for a massage if you do stay.
