The Good: -Very strategic location, it's near the Monkey Forest Sanctuary, the Saraswati Temple, and several other spots. If you're a "walker", you'll like this place a lot. Night strolling would also be good. -Green all over! So many plants and trees around the area. -If you're a traveler looking for a quiet place to stay, you should definitely consider... More

Location is great. Just a few minutes walk from the main road. Rooms are lovely. The whole property has a nice cultural feel to it. Breakfast is very nice too. Very good value for money. The owner was friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned whilst we were out. I would recommend staying here

Highly recommended Gusti Kaler home stay. The rooms are huge, comfortable and clean. You have your own large basic en suite and your own patio surrounded by beautiful plants. Breakfast can be served on your patio every morning which is a good selection. The family are really warm and welcoming. There is no aircon but we had a really good... More

On top of the fact that we had a lovely stay, for which I cannot find fault, the kind-hearted owners of this guesthouse took both me and my friend to an emergency clinic after being scratched by a potentially rabid monkey! When you're in a situation like that, and you don't know exactly how the health system works, to have... More

We stayed here for a few nights in July 2015 and we loved just about everything about it! Although the homestay is near the main road in Ubud, the location is very quiet. There are roosters next door though and they wake up early. That's Indonesia for you! Our room (#1) was very comfortable and we loved having our own... More

We had a fantastic stay at the Gusti Kaler House in October 2014 (I can't change the automatically chosen date). The house is a short walk away from the main street and the Monkey Forest Road with all its shops, it's in a quiet alley. We had great breakfasts on our own terrace and the hosts were very helpful. The... More
