This place is amazing! It has simple rooms but more than enough to enjoy Ubud's zen environment!! The breakfast is good (I loved the banana pancake), the staff is kind and the interior garden is really nice! I really recommend this place, it is cheap and nice!

We liked so much the traditional atmosphere in Gandra. The owner offered us a welcome drink. He is very nice and helpful but he insisted a little bit for booking boat and trips. Nice garden sorroundings the room. Cleanliness and room in the Indonesian average. Breakfast included and served in the patio of the room(banana pancake or toast with eggs...

Possible the worse guesthouse in ubud, everything's was terrible besides the friendly staff and ok breakfast included. Rooms were old and rundown, we went without showers for 2 days because there was no water, the mattress was at least 50 years old as it had disintegrated. Walls are as thin as tracing paper and you can literally hear everything. We...

We had a great stay at Gandra Homestay when we visited Ubudh last year. We stayed in the biggest bungalow, with a huge porch and a big room. The bathroom was a bit outdated but you get what you pay for :) The staff was really nice and breakfast was included. One thing you also can´t miss when you visit...

Within 2 minutes of us putting our backpacks down the owner had brought us over tea and coffee with a smile, a simple touch but one that is much appreciated. Room was fairly basic with hot water that ran out after a couple minutes, but the room itself was spacious and we had a little veranda overlooking a garden that...

When we arrived at Gandra House the owner seemed friendly but this first impression turned out to be wrong. Reading others reviews afterwards I can relate to the comments on the owners grumpiness and positive things mentions in other reviews are plain wrong. When we arrived at Gandra we were planning to stay for two nights. We found out there...

The guy that helped us with a room seemed to be nice but after a while he was just trying to get money from us and kept on talking about the different tours we could book through him (although we told him already 3 times we didn't want any tour). There were no blankets (just some table cloth-ish things where...

Central located, nice staff (even though they will try to sell some trips), very quiet and relaxed place with a nice garden and terraces to enjoy it. The room was clean. Though one matress was very old, hard and totally disformed the other one was pretty nice and new. Breakfast was great and they brought a huge thermos of fresh...

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting Ubud. There are many other nice guesthouses in the city. I stayed more than a week and I'm still waiting for a good morning or a hello from the owners. They were always unpolite and looking at me as I was doing something bad... The only moment someone approached me was when...

“wifi doesn't work at the very back, only the front part of the yard. The left side neighbour turns on some really annoying (repetitive and annoying pitch) meditation music every morning around 8:30, disturbing late sleepers.”
