Kamandalu provides a limited number of villas with a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Although it's been long enough, the facilities and the garden look well-maintained.
It would be better if the in-hand shower was made with a larger size and the water pressure corrected because less tight.
Breakfast, spt villa generally can book main course by way ala carte. But the overall quantity, variation and quality still need to be improved.

During our exploration of Ubud, we spent a few amazing days at Kamandalu Ubud. The hotel is truly a feast for the eyes, with its beautiful and lush green areas offering a perfect combination of natural beauty and tranquility.
We stayed in a villa with its own pool, which was a big plus for us. The option to have a private pool was appreciated, but we also took advantage of the communal pool which was deeper - perfect for some diving and playing with the kids. It was a real hit with the little ones! In addition, there was another pool with a breathtaking view of the jungle, a sight that truly took our breath away.
One aspect that we hope the hotel can improve is the size of the drinking glasses. We noticed that the prices for drinks were slightly higher compared to restaurants in Ubud, and it didn't feel quite commensurate with the smaller glass sizes on offer. Being more generous with the drink glass sizes would definitely improve the overall experience, especially when guests pay a premium for drinks at the hotel.
In conclusion, Kamandalu Ubud offers a wonderful experience with its beautiful setting and excellent facilities. It is a hotel we are happy to recommend for those looking for a relaxing stay in the heart of Ubud's magnificent nature.

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the villas which had its own pool and view of “the jungle”.
Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, organised our transport, had daily cocktails, a private large room with ensuite. A fantastic large private pool! Everything was quiet and serene.
We had our first meal in the restaurant, nice food but hot and humid so second night had it delivered to our room. Order the special dinner the last night (a big birthday) which is located down candle lit steps, a table just for two and 6 course dinner. A lovely end to our stay.
Took a trip into town centre and grabbed some shopping at the market.
The hotel also organised a private tour of local places to see including rice terraces, coffee tasting, bartik store, gold and silver stores, art galleries and more. All at our own pace and while seeing the people and countryside,
A great way to see the hustle bustle of ubud while having a tranquil safe haven and swim to come back to each day to cool down!

We were disappointed. The Kamandalu is not a 5*. The staff is very distant, and does not pay any particular attention to their customers as one would expect from a 5*. No news from the staff apart from the day of our departure to remind us that it was time to leave the hotel. At the time of check out we were not asked if our stay had gone well. In addition, certain infrastructures such as the swimming pool, for example, are aging. The staff is non-existent, they do not offer help with towels or even do not offer water to their customers. On the other hand, they will not forget to charge you for the bottle of mineral water!!! The products served during breakfast are not of quality, and the menu offers few alternatives. There is also no gym. The park is magnificent but a 5* does not stop there!

This villa was absolutely beautiful. The pool was incredible, and the views were truly breathtaking, offering such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect place for a solo getaway, with plenty of privacy and tranquility. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, always ensuring I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Every detail of the stay felt thoughtful and well-curated. I’d love to return in the future for another amazing experience.

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of our Bali trip. We had arrived from staying at the Ulaman which was incredible and there was a stark difference in service at Kamandalu from the moment we arrived. The place seems dated, the decor could do with updating throughout. The rooms are very spacious but just didn’t seem fresh. The restaurants didn’t look great. We had lunch by the main pool whilst waiting for our room to be ready and it was just basic and unappealing. Breakfast was ok but only egg dishes are a la carte, the rest is buffet. We had the floating breakfast one day and arrived at the awana pool to find no staff there and a half eaten breakfast tray floating around the pool! A staff member eventually arrived but couldn’t understand us when we said we were there for breakfast! When the breakfast eventually did arrive it was a nice experience although quite hard to eat in the pool if you are short as the water is fairly deep. Prior to going to the hotel I had contacted them to book a massage and the lunch on the boat. I told them that I was vegetarian and needed a veggie lunch. They tried to charge me extra for that!! Surely a dietary requirement should not be more expensive! Especially when veggies are cheaper than meat! They also gave me a ‘special price’ for the message which was the same price as online so nothing special at all. The massage at forest spa was the best part of our stay and the only 5* experience at Kamandalu. There is a shuttle bus to ubud town. We used this and waited for the return bus only for a ride family to push in front and get in the bus ahead of us meaning that we couldn’t get on. The driver didn’t say anything to them and drove them back. We had to wait 30mins for a taxi! The hotel did cover the cost of the taxi but it was an inconvenience. We were there for our anniversary and nothing was said about it by the hotel. I would not recommend Kamandalu and would stay elsewhere but I would go to forest spa for a massage

Had the best time here. Beautifully done rooms. Had a package of 2-3 different things with the room, which they added and changed at our request, because we were vegetarians, and also even though we had taken lunches and treks, they changed it to our requests on what's app! excellent service! the best meal I've had on day 1 dinner that too in a forest setting. Its not too far from ubud Centre, plus they have shuttles up and down. would definitely go back here

First of all, it is a clean, peaceful holiday village in the forest, very close to the center of Ubud, with shuttle service. I don't know what to thank, first of all I would like to thank all the employees at the front office, they immediately fulfilled my request for the room and won me over 🙏 Thank you to the housekeeping department for making our room beautiful every day. Millions of thanks to supervisor K, sweet Agung S., Rizky, Ary, Pebri, Korja from the bar department. You made our holiday unforgettable, Kamandalu 🙏 we will come again.

The staff were very helpful and made a real effort with gluten free food for our daughter. It was useful to have the free shuttle into town as the location is 10 minutes from the main centre. We loved that the private pool backed on to the jungle.

We didn’t realize we had booked our week in Bali during the “rainy season”. No matter, our stay at the Kamandula Ubud was one of our favorite stays we’ve had anywhere in the world. The facilities are beautifully breathtaking. The villas are each an individual oasis that you could just stay in for a week without leaving…the restaurants and lounges had fantastic food and well made libations….but it was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff that really made this property shine! So many friendly and upbeat employees, who were ready to help with questions, give advice about places to visit, or share the recipe for sambal matah…we won’t soon forget this experience, and are already thinking about our return.
