Firstly, I'm a retired 5 star hotel general manager (which I don't generally reveal) and stayed with adult family members occupying three bedrooms. As a 25 year veteran hotelierI guess I can speak from experience. Villa Sancita from the moment you arrive feels like private butler service with amazing staff: Putu, Wayan, Bagus and Santi - a big thank you to you all. Breakfast was bountiful and superb. The open plan feel of the Villa makes the theatre setting overlooking rice fields even more enjoyable and complemented at night by the frog and gecko orchestra. You seamlessly feel part of the environment and it is very peaceful. Rooms are well appointed and the design is very innovative and refreshing. The pool is deep and infinity style overlooking the natural rice paddy-field habitat. The Villa is only a 3km taxi ride to the downtown restaurants and shopping of Ubud. Highly recommended. If you found this review helpful please tick the box.

Our first villa in Bali has not disappointed. Far from it, one of the best places we could have hoped for , made all the more memorable because of the amazing staff that looked after us. Tucked away in a convenient spot just 1.5 km north of central Ubud, its highly accessible to all the sites in the region. We had deliberately chosen Ubud to see the real Bali. We had many fun trips that were easy to organize (monkey forest, holy water temple at Tampaksiring, cooking class, day trip to Jimbaran beach). For our family this was the perfect location with morning trips out, then poolside by 3-4 and then dinner most nights in central Ubud. Ask for Mr Pandey as the driver - great guy who took us everywhere and very flexible . They villa is beautiful , spotless and highly maintained. We wanted for nothing. Can't find a single fault with this place. Do check out the nice warung and cafes a stone throw away in the main road. Spas all around.

We stayed here during our honeymoon in July. We were picked up from our previous resort by the driver, who took us to a couple of tourist attractions on route to the villa.

Santi and the team were there upon our arrival with a warm welcome and drink, to show us around the villa. On the first night we went into Ubud for some dinner (we recommend Bebek Bengil!), but after that we ate in the villa each night. The food was amazing - home cooked, plenty of choice and above all delicious. The same applies for breakfast.

The staff are amazing, so friendly, treating us like a king and queen! We honestly don't imagine we'll have better service again.

Santi organised all our day trips which took the hassle away from us having to organise anything.

We enjoyed using the infinity pool, overlooking the rice paddies (stunning views). All the rooms in the villa are very comfortable and the bathrooms are in very good condition and overall the place is nicely decorated and well equipped with Wifi. The villa is a few minutes drive into the centre of Ubud, but we enjoyed being away from the hussle and bussle of town.

One thing that takes some getting used to is the open plan of the villa, which allows various insects and animals to keep you company downstairs at night. Perfect if your name is Ace Ventura, but in fairness you soon get used to it, and we now miss our Gecko friend who we nicknamed 'Barney'! Amazingly we saw fireflies (glow-worms) in the rice paddies at night - amazing scenes we were able to capture on video!!

The most striking thing about the villa is the open side of the house onto beautiful rice fields that you can also appreciate in the Infinity pool.
From morning to night we felt pampered, peaceful and relaxed. The staff of this beautiful villa are discreet yet available for your every need, often before you realise them yourself! A fantastic location and perfect to explore Ubud and the rest of Bali we had a moving experience on this beautiful Island.
Not to be missed, a villa apart. From flowers on your pillow to mouthwatering meals, we had the holiday of gods!

We recently spent 6 nights here, it was amazing. The villa is located a few kms from the main street in Ubud, far enough to be quiet but close enough to ride to town in a few minutes. There were several lovely warungs (made becik, warung bintang bali, akamana) on the same road which we ate lovely meals at and there is a good spa (ubud wellness spa 2) just a few metres down the road. Santi and her staff were impeccable and could not be faulted. They were so professional and helpful, available but not intrusive. The breakfasts were amazing and we had a meal cooked in the villa by Santi which was delicious and good value. There is the main bedroom upstairs with an ensuite and another bedroom with a separate bathroom, and downstairs is another bedroom and a separate bathroom. There is an open plan dining/lounge area by the pool and a separate TV room also downstairs. There is a fully equipped kitchen which we did not spend much time in as the staff usually helped us out if we needed anything in there (including a cuppa) and there was a bar fridge out in the lounge to store our things. The pool is lovely with views of the garden and rice fields. We were concerned that there may just be mud flats with no greenery but we were pleasantly surprised. All of the rooms except for 2 of the bathrooms and the kitchen look towards the garden. There is a small front yard for parking off the lane-way. Santi arranged scooters for us and we parked them here, she also arranged the scooters to be delivered and collected from the villa. She was so helpful, arranging our airport travel and giving us ideas for restaurants. The breakfasts were simply amazing. The plain and the banana pancakes are the best I have had and it was hard not to over-indulge at breakfast with a western breakfast, fruit and fresh juices also on offer. The villa has good wifi and all of the bedrooms have AC and fans. The villa is well maintained and clean, and the rooms were cleaned daily with water bottles in the bathrooms daily. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and left feeling so relaxed after spending evenings watching the fire flies, geckos and praying mantis and listening to the frogs.

I have stayed in the house a couple of times and it´s always a great experience!
You feel like you are in a oasis overlooking the ricefields and the pool. The standard of the house is great, always clean and great service! The staff really takes care of you and makes you feel like you are in a five star hotel! And this is also one of the reasons why I i´m always is a recurring guest, I can honestly say that the the staff gives one of the best experience in service that I´ve ever experienced and cooks great food! If you stay in the house you have to let them cook for you!

I can highly recommend Villa Sancita for everybody who visit Ubud!

Villa Sancita surpassed the lovely photos on line. This was quite a beautiful oasis overlooking rice paddies with a picturesque "backyard". The house itself is spacious with an open design looking out at the pool and a postcard view. It's hard to believe I was somewhere so peaceful and pretty just days ago.

The villa is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of inner Ubud city happenings, but just a short ride by moped or car into town for fun shopping and yummy restaurants. I can't imagine having stayed anyway else, although we did venture one night's stay to the north along the black sand beach coast. The place where we stayed in Lovina cannot even be compared to Villa Sancita.

The staff of Villa Sancita are very gracious, attentive wearing smiling faces throughout our stay. We were welcomed with a fresh fruit drink of our choice while lovely flower petal arrangements decorated each bathroom. Santi is an excellent cook with the urab (savory salad dinner dish) and the Balinese crepes -- oh my! I'd almost come back to Villa Sancita alone simply for Santi's cooking!

The bed was soooooooo comfortable -- it I could have packed it in my suitcase I would have. I miss that cloud-like bed already. If I returned to Bali again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else but Villa Sancita. Seriously. The bathtub in the master bath is the most comfortable tub I have ever been in my entire life -- I'm a bath person so I should know!

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Sancita. I'm glad I had the opportunity of a lifetime to stay here with my husband.

This villa is absolutely beautiful and the pool is a pretty as the pictures. The staff was super helpful and always smiling. They even greeted us with a delicious welcome drink even though we arrived at like 1am. Definitely rent the scooters (cheap) which will get you into town quicker. Since this village is smaller, the traffic isn't too crazy, even for a first-time rider like myself. Highly recommended for a relaxing place to stay.

Suparta and the team at Villa Sancita reflect some of Ubud's kindest and most particular attention. Interacting with locals is said to be a highlight of any visit to Indonesia and this is true to the maximum with the Villa Sancita crew. Staff are there for all needs and we were lucky enough to have several meals cooked for us at home - exquisite. We looked at many, many villas in Ubud and Villa Sancita offered excellent value, location and service. If you are looking for a hassle-free, secure and warm-hearted stay in Ubud look no further than Villa Sancita!
