Really nice and quiet resort, yet it’s near to ubud center.
If you want to walk to ubud center, it’s better to use google map and choose car route as walking route takes you on the back alley and you can’t see the shops along the street..
The water in the main pool is cool and there is a jacuzzi next to it, which is slightly warm water.
The only gripe about the main pool is it is only opened at 11am. But I guess the main reason is all the villas have its own pool.
The sun beds are wrapped up with cloth when the pool is closed.
Breakfast is very appetising and how we wish our stomachs are as deep as the valley to hold all the food.
Each person can order a main dish twice, it’s not a breakfast buffet.
Try out the Bali coffee instead of americano if you are a coffee person.
Gym is well equipped, with a cable machine, hacksaw squat and a multipurpose machine.
2 benches for free weights and some treadmills.
We got the jacuzzi spa villa and it has an extremely great view of the jungle and valley.
You can hear the sound of the river flowing below and probably catch a glimpse of it thru the tree branches.
The water in the pool is villa is cold and the jacuzzi is quite warm. So it’s nice to switch between the pool and jacuzzi to relax our body after a long day walk.
The villa has very high ceiling so it’s so nice resting on the bed and looking at the ceiling.
The washroom is huge, and the big bath tub comes with salt and jasmine gel for you to use.
The only gripe is soaking inside the bath tub u will slip into the water as the internal surface of the bath tub is slippery. One needs to hold on to the side of tub. Would suggest to coat with anti slip coating or anti slip mat.
There is also a small kitchen and some couches at the mini living room.
As it is located within the valley, surrounded by nature, you will expect to see ants and geckos.
We didn’t encounter monkeys visiting our villa though.
Overall, it’s a fabulous resort to stay in if you like the tranquility. Would love to come back again.
2nights isn’t enough, at least 3 nights.
Staff are very kind and welcoming.
Buggy service is quick.
Special thanks to butler Indah, and other staff at the breakfast restaurant that are equally attentive to all our needs

Hotel's Favourite
There are things that happen in life that change the perception of what is in this case a journey. And in this case that thing has a name: The Kayon Valley.
It's hard to describe in a few words what the experience at this hotel is all about. Read other travellers' reviews and you know you're in for something special. But, believe me, it has exceeded all expectations.
The Kayon has without a doubt the best jungle views in Ubud. The feeling of waking up in the morning and being in front of this wonder of nature is indescribable.
The villa (201 in my case) is perfect, with a bed never seen before. Everything is brand new, with details that make your stay very special.
The food is another experience in itself. Delicious, each and every one of them, from breakfast to dinners with a distinctly Balinese approach.
And this is a touch of distinction, living the Balinese culture in all its expression. And that is what you will experience at The Kayon.
But the real magic of The Kayon, and in this case it is far from being a cliché, is its people. They take care of you, they pamper you, they offer you their naturalness and their smile as soon as they meet you.
Thanks to Intan (the real "diamond" of The Kayon, she knows why 😉), Nano (never change!), Ari and her eternal smile, Suwar (no matter where you are, he's always there...) and just to name a few of the incredible staff.
I can't recommend enough a stay in this true natural paradise.
See you next year!

This resort was absolutely spectacular in every way! 10/10. From a hospitality standpoint, everyone was extremely nice and friendly and would go out of their way to help us out. Yogi for example was an amazing tour driver who took us around the island to sight see and would go with us, take picture, provide recommendations to improve our trip, was extremely friendly and helpful the entire time, etc. Rusdi was always so kind and attentive and provided a recommendation on a waterfall that was not originally in our itinerary and we were glad we ended up going there after and also provided a monkey stuffed animal on behalf of the hotel that would remind us of the hotel and our little monkey friends that visited our deck during our stay. Nano so thoughtful with the service and while eating at the restaurant brought us mosquito spray when he noticed we were getting bitten. Yudi was kind and attentive the entire time as well and made our stay so pleasant and gave us these Balinese bracelets as parting gifts. They even had a very nice name plaque with our name on it to pick us up, and not just a handwritten paper. They gave us a food box for us to enjoy on the trip from the airport to the hotel and also parting gifts on our way out.
From a quality of the stay standpoint, this is beyond what one dreams of when thinking of staying in Bali. The room was over 2,500 square feet and the most spacious and amazing we’ve ever stayed in! The view from the room is jaw dropping and we got our own jacuzzi and Infiniti pool with a spectacular view of the jungle. We even got lucky and saw a pack of little monkey crossing our deck to get to the other side including some baby monkeys hanging from the parents belly. With a resort right in the middle of the jungle where you can hear the bugs and animals from the jungle in the middle of the night, reminiscent of the nature sounds many people download to help them sleep. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the breakfast! The most complete breakfast set, especially when ordering the Indonesian main entrees. There’s more to write about how amazing this place is, not to mention how great of an island Bali is, but I will stop here to not write too much for the reader :)

We came to the Kayon for our honeymoon. After a lot of searching, I found the Kayon. We arrived and we had found a little piece of paradise in Bali.
The setting is just beautiful. The views across the jungle are breathtaking and seem to change at different times of the day. The resort is blissfully quiet but close enough to Ubud to visit the hustle and bustle. The hotel also runs a free shuttle, which makes getting there easier.
We stayed in a Premier Villa with pool and I have never stayed anywhere so beautiful. Fantastic facilities and lovely surroundings. The bucket list dream of my own infinity pool is complete!
We ate in the Kepitu restaurant each night, and the food is delicious with a good range from traditional Indonesian to more Western dishes. The breakfasts and afternoon tea are also pretty tasty, with the most wonderful views.
My husband and I also had a massage at the spa. My husband has never had a massage and he fell asleep! Praise indeed!
Finally the service you receive at the hotel is wonderful. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. From the welcome drink and ceremony, to the buggy service and the restaurant staff. Nothing is too much trouble. I wish I had the names of all the staff that had welcomed us to their home, the ladies that met us on arrival, the staff in the spa, the drivers of the taxi service, who we commandeered to take us to the supermarket and wait for us to grab some supplies, the buggy drivers who navigated some very steep slopes, the cleaners and ground staff who keep the resort looking beautiful. Notably Suwar who helped my husband on numerous occasions on and off the buggy and Cok Oka in the restaurant, her service makes you feel you are the only person in the restaurant. But I wish I could personally thank them all. They made our stay so special.
Staying at the Kayon really was a dream come true and surpassed all of my expectations.

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay here the location was really impressive. All the rooms/villas are situated in a picturesque location. We were visited by monkeys most mornings which we loved.
There are a few elements that we would mention that aren’t as good as other hotels that we stayed in.
The food was okay but didn’t always taste really fresh. At breakfast freshly squeezed orange juice would be nice. The afternoon tea selection was very odd and we only had this once.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, it was slightly annoying being asking many times at breakfast what our plans are for that day and if they can do anything. Almost like a sales person as it came across they would get the service charge from it. At breakfast we would appreciate not being approached as many times especially as the WhatsApp feature and 24 hr reception is easily accessible if we needed any help.
The rooms were good but slightly outdated the bathrooms are in need of a regroute to help prevent all the ants that we had in the bathroom. The sliding doors were very stiff and hard to close.
There is entertainment every night and we felt this is overkill. This made us eat out more as each night there is very loud entertainment which is excessive for a few guests that attend dinner.
The taxis the hotel provide are more expensive than any other areas of Bali they also added a service charge on top which we found slightly cheeky for doing that. We just organised our own which were more than half the prize cheaper. Same as the airport transfer I would avoid the hotel organising them as was 4X more expensive than other quotes we got afterwards.
The yoga in the morning was really good and we loved being able to do this.
The hotel is reliant on the location!

Outstanding quality on all marks.
The view is to die for, the room is stunning, the common areas like pool and restaurant are beautiful and extremely calm and relaxing.
On days we chose to stay by the pool, we had the area almost completely to ourselves. It seems that people haven't really found out about this place yet. Generally we never shared an area with more than 2 couples at a time.
It is very quiet and serene, and the staff is the most helpful and kind people I have ever met. Intan especially stood out and made us feel very appreciated and added some lighthearted fun to it all.
Our room had some slight issues, like the wheel on the patio door breaking and a large gecko inside the roof making loud sounds at night, preventing our sleep. The staff caught the gecko while we were at dinner, and sent a team to fix the door the moment we would mention it. They never made us feel bad or like we were difficult customers. Always smiling and ready to help.
The attached spa and restaurant are both great, and the breakfast has a huge selection to choose from both Western to Indonesian cuisine. I recommend the dragonfruit granola bowl.
They have car shuttles to the city/attractions that are free to use every day, and will also come to pick you up later. Most attractions are a 20 min drive away.
If you are looking for a luxurious, quiet and relaxing place as a couple, this is the one. Seriously, go here before it gets crowded.
Thank you to all the staff for giving us a perfect week! We hope to visit again 🙏🏻

Our first visit to Bali and we were blown away by this amazing hotel and its wonderful staff. The location was just perfect, away from the busy streets of Ubud and the jungle views from the room exactly what we hoped for. We stayed for 4 nights but wished we could have stayed for more.
The room was delightful and very private.
We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast with a view every morning, afternoon tea, restaurant and the poolside service was great.
Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel totally at home. Special thanks to Ari, Oka and Agus who looked after us so well.
And please do have a wander around the village outside of the hotel gates and ask for recommendations for day trips and restaurants - we loved them all. Thank you Kayon Valley for everything!

Hotel located in the middle of the jungle, although ten minutes from the urban area. Our room was spacious, with a separate lounge area and a terrace where there was a pool which made it very special. Good bath products and comfortable beds. The restaurant has a very varied menu for both breakfast and lunch or dinner, and I only had a little left over from the background music, which was quite repetitive. They provide a free shuttle service into the city and organize other transfers at reasonable prices.

The staff treatment & service, the seclusion of the location and privacy of the room is unbeatable. Close enough to see the sights of Ubud via cheap taxi. Rare hot tub and beautiful jungle view from the pool. The most in-room complimentaries and top value menu. One of those rare spot where reality is better than the photos! Our butler Suwar was very friendly!
Food is at its best 4/5...some dishes were hits but many were more like 3/5. This is the one area that didn't match the overall quality experience of the hotel.

We’re so very sad to leave the Kayon Valley Resort after having spent the most relaxing time here.
The staff were so welcoming and warm from beginning to end of our visit always looking out for smallest details to make our stay more comfortable. The service accompanied by our comfortable room where the pool looks onto a wonderful view of Bali’s nature makes me want to recommend this resort to anyone wanting a memorable stay at the island.
Our room was clean, comfortable and presented beautifully to us by the team at Kayon Valley. We loved the pool and enjoyed the daily breakfast to which the staff warmly welcomed us each morning!
The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful at every stage of our stay. Niki in particular was so very kind and thoughtful throughout. A shining example of great service which all other staff exemplified too!
