Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 6 days and it wasn’t enough to enjoy all the beauty inside and outside the resort. The room was big with an amaaaazing view to the pool and to the jungle. Also the bathroom was big with traditional bathtub and shower, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel and hair conditioner, actually everything we needed. In every day the room was cleaned and towels, weather and other things we needed was changed. Also in the room we had everything we need for a short or long stay: toothbrushes and toothpaste, weather for drink, some fresh fruits etc. The staff is amazing, they was patient and every time we asked something they answered us or helped us. Also prepared small surprises for us, for example a beautiful message and fresh fruits in room when I wasn’t feeling so well, a picture frame with a beautiful picture with me and my boyfriend. The restaurant has a variety of food, and very very good. The view to the jungle from the restaurant is stunning! Every day we ate at the restaurant. Also the staff from the restaurant is very very friendly! They explained us information about food and not only. We liked a lot to spent the evenings there. The breakfast was delicious. A loot of good food, and more options to choose.
We liked a lot to stay here and for sure if we’ll come back we will choose again this resort.

We booked this hotel through our travel agents recommendation. The location being outside ubud centre meant that there were no close by amenities such as shops, however the views from the hotel overlooking the jungle and rice fields were beautiful and made up for this. There is a complimentary shuttle service at certain times of the day which we were not aware of and would have been nice to be informed about on arrival. The female staff member at the reception only offered a taxi service when we enquired about how to get to the centre and we were disappointed to find out later on our last day by a taxi driver about the shuttle service, this however may have been due to the language barrier and miscommunication. We had booked our hotel with the breakfast option and we were pleasantly surprised at the variety and quality of foods for breakfast and enjoyed this thoroughly especially with the stunning views at the dining area. The cleanliness of the hotel in comparison to U.K hotels does not compare, our rooms were cleaned however when we came back from our day trip we noticed a lot of insects and cockroaches in our room. We were extremely happy with the overall customer service of this resort, the reservation/booking team who went out their way to accommodate us and make our stay relaxing, enjoyable and memorable and we would like to thank them for this! Special thanks to Hendra and Ali who were so helpful and so friendly and made us feel very welcome, and made our stay at the Ashoka even better!

Not a big resort but very nice and quite. If you would like to have a break after your busy weekdays, I recommend you take 1-2 nights in this resort. The resort have 2 big swimming pool, recreation spot such as billiard, basketball yard and table tennis. The SPA also good, they have 6 rooms treatment (4single and 2 couples). The taste of food was very good with affordable price yet the portion is fit with me who don’t like big portion. Things need to be improve in term of food service, which sometimes we need to ask for the cutleries, napkin or any else. Overall, I like to stay here and plan to be back someday.

This place is in the middle of nowhere good... no good dining options either inside or outside the hotel. Understaffed and slow service. Bed is comfortable, shower fluctuates between hot and cold water when left alone. We were here for 8 days. Room was not made up for three of those days inspite of telling the front desk we were out for the day. There is no bar after being told there was one. Poached eggs had water on the plate. Fried calamari was soggy like it was microwaved. Steak and pizza was awful. Even the Balinese cuisine was sub par to what's available in other low cost restaurants. The property is a retrofit . Spoke to the manager Ari and all she said us maybe we can do better next time...

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a really lovely stay. We got there early in the day when booking last minute (due to issues with another place) and they helped us to get into a villa asap. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and are always going the extra mile to help you with whatever you need.
The room that we had was huge, with a really big bathroom and a private pool. the villa had a gate on the front which made your space really private. It was so clean too and you could see the staff cleaning regularly.
There is a wide range of breakfasts that you can choose from and the food here is really good.
They offer a shuttle service to and from the centre of Ubud throughout the day and they are also great at arranging a private taxi hire for the day to take you around wherever you would like to see and help you explore the beautiful areas around. The drivers are really friendly and helpful too.
Around the resort, there were also communal pool and some games such as table tennis and pool available to play.
I can't recommend staying here enough.

I stayed here with my wife for 3 nights, in a private pool villa. Villa is specious with a bedroom, a private pool, bathroom and a private balcony.
Really good option for honeymooners or couple to spend time together.
Resort has a restaurant/bar named Laddu Kitchen. Breakfast is mostly included in room charges. All the meals; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are really good in tastes and has good variety with not only local Indonesian cuisine but also Western, Italian and Indian food!
Location is little off of Ubud Market, but thats the point to have such resort in quite, nice place amidst the nature.
Very courteous staff. One of the best in hospitality.
Highly recommended.

Internet connectivity problems kept occuring , I could not make some important transactions because of this. The hotel management should take ownership for this and not pass the accountability to the service provider. May be a backup should be arranged.

Absolute disaster this soo called resort is super old and is in dier need for renovation. Firstly the two girls at reception need to learn the meaning of hospitality, anything and everything you ask them the ans is NO!!!!! They need to learn how to behave with the customer and not to talk in Balinese and ridicule them. The location is the worst no street light it gets super deserted by 7:30 pm. There is no gym. No services. Nothing don't know how they call themself a resort! Snakes, lizards,ants you name it they had it. Old stained wc n bath tub they dnt even make an attempt to clean it simply say it's old and will look like this only even if we cleaned it.. dnt waste your money staying here. Management plz teach some basic ethics and manners to your reception staff. Oh yes they claim they have a shuttle service three times a day also a lie. You have to place your break fast order by 11 pm for the next day coz even when they are at full capacity it is not an buffet breakfast. Worst experience in ubud

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience happened. For sure we will investigate this case and identify the issue and will improve our service and our facility. Since our resort located close to lush of trees and natural environment created the calmness and relaxing atmosphere in Ashoka Tree Resort, however we also have the challenge about insects and some animals that might not common for some of our guest, to overcome of this matter we try our best to prevent any pest around the guest room by regular scheduled fogging and maintain our garden area. At the moment our shuttle service to Ubud depart at midday every day and for breakfast order can be done in the Front Desk or directly to our Restaurant and our breakfast is indeed set menu. With the new management we are believe on the progress to give a better quality of services to all of our costumer based on the feedback received. We stayed on 21 January in #209, we checked in at 1 pm. When we arrived served by welcome drink and osibori. Receptionist and Arsi was Very warm hospitality, very detail explained the reservation, hotel services and facilities. For the room also amazing! Clean and very big enough for 3 people. It was all a disaster from day one. Someone somewhere had lost our booking so we ended up in what was described by a manager as the lowest value room despite also saying it was what we had booked, the 'superior garden room with views of the pool and garden'. In reality it had a view of an alley and a few plants. Whilst the original problem (not having a room) was being sorted, we were told to go for a drink at the restaurant. All we wanted was a coke and beer, simple right. Not so simple when the place doesn't have an alcohol license. Supposedly it was being renewed. The room smelled musty and of drains and wasn't cleaned unless you asked. That said it was cleaned very poorly and little effort put in. As said in other reviews the sink and bath were badly stained and looked dirty. The shower screen likewise. They were definitely in need of replacement. The shuttle which was advertised, ran once a day took you into Ubud but didn't do a pick up. The evening meal we had was not great and we didn't eat there again although the resort next door did a smashing meal and has an alcohol license. We didn't find the staff as unhelpful as other reviews have said and they did fix the aircon (leaking) as quickly as they could. Overall I cannot recommend this resort to anyone despite its lovely setting.

Hello , Yes I have confirmed with a local contact of the hotel , they do provide bike on rent and the rent varies based upon the type f bike you rent , rent starts from 100 K IDR .
