We planned to stay for 2 nights there, but the villa, staff, and everything were so amazing that we extended our stay several times! The property manager Pande met us at the reception, showed us different villas, and helped to find exactly what we needed: calm, stylish, and spacious villa Agung in the middle of the rice fields. After we checked in, every minute of our stay we felt a caring and friendly atmosphere. We kept in touch with Pande for the whole period of our stay and he supported us with any question that we had. Thanks a lot! The villa itself had good amenities, was clean and functional. Though, you have to walk for several minutes across the river to this villa. For us it was ok, but I assume there are some people not comfortable with walking. Anyway, there are 1-bedroom villas close to the reception. We enjoyed sitting in the open dining area and doing our work-related things. The internet connection was stable, no issues with it. The wardrobe was also spacious and had scales which is always a plus! I even enjoyed the quality of soup, shampoo, and conditioner though I am picky with such things! Honestly, we didn't want to go anywhere, because it was so cozy. Long story short, it is the best stay in 5 years that we had in Ubud and we will definitely come back for the inspiring and peaceful atmosphere!

We were happy to discover this gem in Ubud. It's a ten minute drive from the centre of Ubud through beautiful rice fields. The property consists of two parts, with a canyonlike river in the middle. Two villas have jungle view, the ones at the other side of the river are located in the rice fields. Both sides have (shared) swimming pools. The property is huge, but the atmosphere is small scale. No mass tourism here, but everything tailored to your needs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The balinese smile is all around! We booked a one bedroom villa, but got an upgrade to one of the villa's in the ricefield (Agung). The view was magnificent. Sunrise was magical. You only hear the sounds of nature, as the property is far away from the motorbike and truck noise, that is so common nowadays in Bali. The rooms have all luxury. We especially appreciated the big bathroom with a open (but private) patio and also the artful decoration.

Room Tip: Go for the slightly more expensive villas in the rice field. Note: this takes a 5 min walk down...

Our 4 night stay was unforgettable. The scenic views of the rice fields were surreal, the staff were exceptionally kind & helpful, they were a highlight of our 3 week stay in Bali. They helped celebrate our son's first birthday and prepared a wonderful cake for us. Breakfast & dinner was always delicious, the location close to many of the main attractions in Ubud. An absolutely delightful stay, thank you Uma Giri & looking forward to coming back - hopefully soon. 👍👍

We are fortunate to be some of the first guests to review this lovely place. We had 5 nights in Villa Agung. A villa located in the middle of the rice paddy fields. There is a short 4 min walk to the main house, across a beautiful stream and rainforest jungle. But you can always get in touch with the kind and very professional staff on the phone if needed. At Uma Giri you will be so very well taken care of. They truly do everything to make sure you feel like royalty. Roby, the chef does an amazing job with everything that comes out of the kitchen. You can see and taste that he is trained in proper restaurants. One thing we also really enjoyed was the piece and quiet of the place. This is not the last time we will be staying at The Uma Giri
