Room was dirty, I complained about it and they changed the sheets but the new sheets had also stains on it. Several parts of the room was not properly cleaned. Overall they should pay more attention to cleaniness. There is a big construction work going on behind the hotel so it is very laud after 8 am! The room looks different then on the photos advertised. I believe the photos from booking.com are from villa section and not from room section.

We stayed here for a couple of days and we’re happy as the staff were really nice . We pre booked for 2 weeks at a later date and payed in advance. Due to recent events we could not return due to wanting to self isolate due to the corona virus .... I asked for a refund as I was well within my rights according to their cancellation policy ( j have proof of this in black and white ) . I received a message saying that the owner has decided not to return my refund .. I am forced to leave back to Spain today due to the virus and now must peruse legal action to retrieve my money .. I find this absolutely discussing . Please do not stay in any of their premises anywhere as they are thieves ..... I will get my money back as I have all receipts and prof that I am in my right for a refund but thi a is causing unnecessary stress ...

We was in Atman villas for family gathering in first week of July 2018. Located besides the rice field, coconut trees. Is quiet and cozy place to stay because is little bit further down from the street. Internet good quality. Every night the host asking : what kind of breakfast for tomorrow ? A lot of choices and very healthy food. Located in front of Pelangi school. Have : a family room to watch TV; and private pool. The bathroom is open air. And surrounded by many restaurants, cafe ; even Jaens span just in walk distance. Not far from the villa, you can rent car.

An excellent choice by a member of our family group. An ideal villa bolt hole for three family couples to meet, chill out and relax. A short taxi distance from the centre of Ubud, we were glad to be in the peaceful environment that surrounds the Atman Villas. I say "peaceful" - more of how that was broken later. One of those places where you initially go WOW and then after three four days, you begin to see little things which the management will need to consider in the months to come if the Atman Villas are to stay high quality accommodation villas of choice. Spacious and well laid out, the four bedrooms are all well appointed, each with bathroom. The stand out master room is excellent and one we were glad to enjoy. The dining area was perfectly fine although the kitchen area is beginning to show signs of tiredness around the fixtures and fittings/wash area. The breakfast choice and service was exceptionally good and a joy each morning. A menu fit for a king and much enjoyed by us. The niggles. Look nothing major. I have touched on the "tired bit" earlier and indeed when you begin to look a bit closer, the furniture and decoration is showing signs of being "lived in". The pool is not the cleanest and interestingly coloured one member of our party's blonde hair green! A smell of copper sulphate might be the clue here, but if you don't want to use tomato sauce to recover the situation, wear a hair cap or don't get your hair wet. The walls with the next villa were thin and for the first three nights we listened to regular "arguments" courtesy of the "guests" next door. When they went we had a good nights sleep. No coincidence. Finally a couple within our party had a badly smelling toilet that despite regular cleaning failed to improve. Drain problems you would not normally expect of a villa of this calibre... Anyway, back to the positives and Sudrika the "go to" villa driver was a delightful man who we got to know and who took us out to see all the local sights - see earlier reviews for the typical places we went to. Sud' also took us back to the airport from where I write this review. Note the villa allows a free transfer in to Ubud once a day which is good. Final note is nothing to do with the Atman Villas, but I have to name check the EXCELLENT Sacred Rice Restaurant which is a five minute walk away and offers truly wonderful cuisine of international standard in a most beautiful location. Book early to avoid disappointment. So in summary, yes I would most certainly recommend and hope the management just take note of the points made (with the exception of noisy neighbours) so that standards are maintained and don't slip. Thank you ER and thank you all staff.

Atman Villas.....Wow! what an amazing place to stay. Open air, stunning full sized kitchen, plenty of places to sit back and relax and the bedrooms and bathrooms are something straight out of a lifestyle magazine. Our accommodation included breakfast which was brought to the villa each day. So much to choose from and an abundant amount of delicious food. Also offered is a menu from the sister Atman Kafe which is delivered to the villas if you want to stay in for lunch or the evening. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly team and that set the scene for the rest of our stay. We also had a free return shuttle included each day into Ubud. The centre of Ubud is too far to walk, and not a huge amount of things within walking distance, so the shuttle is just great. The team can arrange for a driver to take you on day trips as well for a very reasonable fee. Our driver (Sudrika) I would recommend him very highly as he is very friendly, reliable and has good local knowledge. The internet we found to be unreliable (there were some problems initially and a technician was arranged quickly to look at it, but was never really that great). Not so much a problem, switch your phones off and just enjoy the serenity. The only real negative that I would comment on would be that the pool wasn't as clean as I would have expected. It was a bit mossy on the bottom and probably needs a good scrub. Still swimmable, but I thought fixing this would make Atman Villas absolutely perfect!

Four of us had a fantastic four day stop over at Atman Villa as part of our 2 week tour of Bali and Lembongan Island. We had shortlisted several villas and we’re very pleased that we chose Atman. We could not recommend Michelle’s villa highly enough. Welcomed off our long flight with a wide Komang grin and an ice cold coconut water, the villa is nestled in private, quiet* grounds just outside of Ubud and a minute walk from the road. The villa is only a 5min scoot away (or using their free shuttle service), yet is far enough from the vibrant, bustling streets of Ubud to take a moment to kick back and enjoy a quiet glass or three pool side. The villa has great facilities, inc good Wi-fi, with luxury indoor and outdoor showers and large comfy beds (all with mozzie** nets). The master room Ensuite is pretty special with two showers and bath! The pool was a great way to cool off after a solid days touring. And the air con in all rooms was welcomed too even in October - it was our first trip to Bali and underestimated the humidity (~80% most days!). The complimentary breakfast was fantastic with enough choice to satisfy most; avocado on toast was our preferred bite and would recommend. Michelle was an outstanding host; friendly and prompt with any queries we had before and during our stay, offering detailed suggestions and responses to all our queries. :) A big thanks to Agung and Komang and the rest of their team too. They made our trip that much more memorable and were only a WhatsApp message*** away from arranging a drop off or collection from the villa, whilst keeping their distance during our time at the villa unless prompted. They were great tour guides and company with excellent knowledge of Ubud and Bali.. nothing was ever too much trouble. If they personally couldn’t run us into town, the villas other resident driver ‘Made’ was on hand and great company with good eatery suggestions. The only down side he is a Man Utd fan but this was quickly forgiven :) We took advantage of the daily shuttles and excursions with Komang and we would recommend making the most of this service if you’re looking to explore the island. Places we visited and recommend: Tegenungan Waterfalls, Ceking Rice Terrace, the rice field walk in ubud to Sari Organic Cafe for a light bite, Satria Coffee ‘Cat-Poo’ Plantation for a quick slurp, Tirta Empul Temple (there are plenty of temples!), Yoga Barn and the Monkey Forest (go early to miss the chaos! We’d read mixed reviews but we enjoyed it. And carry little or nothing at all if you want to avoid being jumped on or nibbled at. Whether you wish to feed the monkeys or yourself, bananas can be bought on site. ;P As well as eating at their restaurants (Atman Kafe and Atman Nourish Kafe - both located in Ubud), it’s also possible to order take out deliveries from them too. There’s a take out menu at the villa and the food is really good especially if you are plant based like two of our party. Best vegan pizza we’ve eaten! The udon noodles were a good call too. Nom! Up there with some of the best food we had eaten during our 2 week trip. Otherwise there are plenty of good eateries in Ubud.. we spent most of our evenings dining around the streets neighbouring the Yoga Barn - not short of good places to eat or drink. Siam Sally was good. In short we would not hesitate stopping at Atman Villas again for a future visit, or suggesting this as a base for friends or family. Hard to fault and you won’t be disappointed. *Worth noting they were building new villas on site so expect some construction work (occasional distant knocking of a hammer on nail but don’t let this put you off, especially if you plan daily trips, little time will be spent at the villa during the day. You’ll soon notice that most of Bali and Lembongan is under construction with a new development around every corner of your travels, so hard to avoid). **Mosquito’s were not half as bad as we had expected. Deet up by 5pm, and what the resident geckos don’t eat the frogs will. Failing that the villa had coils to burn which kept them at bay. ***I would recommend buying a local SIM card. Wi-fi in the villa is good and stable but out and about Wi-fi can be hit n miss. Komang helped source one near Ubud on arrival. Cost approx 130,000IDR (~£7) with plenty of 4G data.
