A lovely, rustic retreat. Lovely staff treated me like I was their only guest! They made me feel like taking care of me was their delight. From the delicious breakfast to calling me the nicest drivers, I cared for and safe. Highly recommend this accommodation.

I really enjoyed my time at Desa Sanctuary. If you wish to have a quiet, relaxing break from ubud central, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, this is the place for you! I was staying in Lotus Lumbung, a two storey place with bedroom on top and kitchen/chill area and bathroom on the bottom floor. Other places were...

It is a place in Ubud which is peaceful and away from the commercialization done to attract tourists. We stayed for 3 days and were happy with what we received during the stay. The room was clean, spacious and peaceful with very comfortable queen sized bed, the attached kitchen and semi open bath. The room received constant daylight and moonlight...

I'm 28, from Portugal, Europe. I stayed with my boyfriend in the Desa Sanctuary for about 4 days - it was absolutely wonderful. The bungalow was amazing and clean. The people working there were super nice, polite and very friendly. The trees and plants around the bungalows are really beautiful, with the birds singing and the butterflies flying all around,...

If you've never been to Bali, this BnB would be perfect. Wonderful staff, good bed, nice pillows. Practical "Bali" style bathroom (see Anjiinbali review). We slept beautifully. Breakfast was basically whatever you wanted. Because this is a compact compound the security is excellent. Location is within walking distance to Ubud center, but perhaps a bit far for those who don't...

Very welcoming house and helpful staff : they arranged the pick up from the airport and helped to organize our trip to Ubud area. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom original, the pool delightful and the breakfast local! We could rent the scooter directly from the hotel. It took us just 10 mins to go to Ubud center,...

Every aspect of Desa Sanctuary was perfect for us. I travelled with a friend to especially attend the "Soul Shine' festival at the Green School. No request was too much trouble for the staff whether it be transport, food or just simply taking photos.

We travel a lot so of course we deal with hospitality customer service reps. often. The Sanctuary staff were friendly, accommodating and so helpful. The woman managing the property is just LOVELY! She went out of her way to ensure our comfort! Being she was a native of Bali she was able to give good advice on where to go,...

Excellent room - very comfortable; the Sanctuary is located on the edge of Ubud, so the surrounding area is a bit quieter. However, it is very easy to get into Ubud from the Sanctuary - they will happily allow you to rent mopeds, so the town is within arm's reach. The service was amazing - everyone was extremely accomodating and...

It's a cozy place not far from the Ubud Centre. It's probably only 10 mins away by bike and the staff are able to rent one for u at about IDR60,000 per day. I stayed at Lotus and it had everything I needed. Outdoor toilet was a bit daunting at first but I got used to it once I figured...

“For a short stay for 2 people Rumah Tinggi was lovely. It was a little elevated so quite private. For a longer stay, for 2 people, the bungalow below Rumah Tinggi was also looked very comfortable. For a group of people the big houses looked superb. However, all the 5 options were excellent. Personally I wouldn't choose a room/villa next to a swimming pool.”

“all are great, question of size. kampung does not have much outdoor space, it is fully enclosed whereas the other houses are open on the ground floor with bedroom enclosed upstairs. very charming arrangement to live with open walls.”
