Detailed Reviews
We were picked up at the airport as planned. The villas have a beautiful setting overlooking a jungle clad gorge. We had a big room with outdoor bathroom, balcony and views. We had evening cocktails and ate in every night as the food was great - we mainly had Balinese local dishes. We utilised the free shuttle into Ubud, swam at all times of the day and night and had a massage each afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were returned safely to the airport. Overall a great spot to base yourself near Ubud.

The experience of travelling to Bali for a Mindfulness and Meditation retreat at Amori Villas in Ubud was sensational. The beauty of the area, the hospitality and care shown by the staff was very special. Food preparation was done to a high standard, rooms very clean and layout of bungalows supported freedom of space. The pool was sensational and the dancing at the end was very special. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Going back to Amori Villas is like going home to visit family. The staff are as much our friends as anything else and they look after us so well. The accommodation is 5 star as is the daily prepared food, nothing is anything but quality. More importantly you won’t find a more relaxing destination in Ubud or indeed Bali, definitely worth a visit, or in our case regular visits to recharge the body and soul...all catered for by the spa centre and yoga pavilion on site.

The grounds, staff, food, yoga platform, massage, and hospitality were excellent. We were greeted at airport as arranged and had amazing service by the lovely staff daily. We loved hearing the river, the birds, the monkeys, and visiting a local home and temple. The town of Ubud was very close by and the daily shuttle service from and to hotel was so helpful. We had a great time and will definetly return!

This was an excellent place to stay. It is a quiet place, and there there were only a few people staying there at the time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. If you want to get in and out of town you just have to ask the staff and they will drive you. The town is not too far away. The food was very nice. We were given a complimentary drink on arrival called the Amori sensation which was nice (and I have the recipe now). I would highly recommend this place and price is worth it.

I was fortunate enough to stay long-term at Amori Villas in 2021, and I’m immensely grateful to the wonderful staff for hosting me during this very strange and harrowing year. I’ve visited Bali for years, and have stayed in a number of different guest houses, villas, and hotels around the island, and this is by far the best experience I’ve had here. Amori has one of the most beautiful settings in Ubud, overlooking the Petanu river valley, and is surrounded by a really wonderful and walkable neighborhood filled with rice paddies.
The food is delicious, the pool is filled with clean well water, the gardens are really nice for walking, and the restaurant is a great place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning while looking out over misty, monkey-filled treetops. It’s been a very difficult year economically for Bali, and I hope that visitors are able to come back soon and enjoy lovely places like this one.

We had a magical stay at Amori to celebrate my partner's birthday. The staff were incredible and so accommodating. They put on a sumptuous feast that took into account some very specific dietary requirements and we wined and dined overlooking the beautiful view. We also did a photo shoot at the villas as the grounds are spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable and we slept peacefully nestled in the jungle surrounds. We will certainly stay at Amori again :)

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 16 and 9) stayed for 3 nights at Amori Villas as part of our summer trip to Bali.
We booked one of the Classic Villas (Kingfisher) which sleeps 4 with one king bed and 2 single beds.
We really enjoyed our stay - there are only 7 villas so you get a very personal touch from the staff. The Villas themselves are a 10-20 minute (time depending on traffic) drive into the centre of Ubud and there is a free shuttle bus one way provided by the Villa. Getting back from Ubud was very cheap and reasonably easy using the Grab app.
The view from the villas definitely has a wow factor with the infinity pool over looking the beautiful greenery. As there are only a few villas there were not many people using the pool so this was like having your own private pool which was great.
The breakfast was great with a wide range of options all cooked fresh on demand. We also had a lovely dinner there with a range of western and Indonesian food cooked beautifully.
The highlight was the staff who were so friendly and attentive and helped with anything we asked for including local trips, transport to other areas of Bali and all at very reasonable prices.
The only reason I have not given 5 stars is down to the room. Although very spacious the classic villas are a little rustic - the air conditioning had a permanent really loud hum and there were parts of the villa which are effectively open to the elements with no sealed windows which was not great for mosquitos. There is also a part of the villa window with no curtain so impossible to have any lie in with light coming in from sunrise. From the look of things the other villas were more modern if you have a smaller group might be best to go for those.
In summary though really well recommended as a boutique villa option with excellent service and restaurant and lovely staff - thank you for a very memorable stay.

This is a luxury retreat location with 5 star staff and facilities. We were pampered by head steward Dayu who had an eye for detail and promptly enabled every activity we requested. Her calm and smiley face greated us each day and ensured our visit was faultless.
Head butler Masar openly shared his Hindu culture at the villa grounds as well as at enchanting spiritual locations that his fleet of well appointed cars took us to. He was very obliging with helping us at various hours of the day, making sure we safely arrived, departed and toured the region. His co-drivers were equally impressive.
I've booked again for this year, because the stunning valley location, facilities, services and staff could not be surpassed.

My wife and I had Amori Villas recommended to us by a friend who lives in Bali and we were rewarded with a great experience. It is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport. It is small with about 7 villas, but that made it better for us. The small staff were very attentive to our needs. Breakfast comes with daily room rate and it was excellent with a combination of American and local food. The rooms were great. Ours had a balcony and a semi open bathroom. You could take a shower in the wall enclosed (open air) area of the bathroom or a more secluded area of the bathrooms (2 separate showers). The rooms were elegant. The view from the open sided restaurant were so excellent. So much green overlooking a valley with hills on the far side. There was a large Infinity type pool which I enjoyed.
Overall, the view, the food, and accommodations were dream like. Most important to me was the staff. They were so pleasant and helpful.
While it was far from attractions, drivers were easy to get for the day and having a driver was not expensive.
We went to the Bali Swings (using a driver) and my wife and her lady friends enjoyed dressing up with costumes and having their pictures taken against a beautiful green jungle like backdrop of a Bali hillside. We also spent a day at a Black Sand Beach at the ocean. That was a great day also.
Of course, the ladies enjoyed shopping and we had a couple dinners/lunch intown which were very nice.
We had never been to Bali. We really were happy to be at the Amori.

In our villa there was only one room and No kitchen... but feel free to as the personnel of the hôtel by email. They are very kind and will answer you quickly... (I m sure)
I think it's about 1 hour drive.
All the previous answers are correct with the following additions.
The Garden Villa, Valleyview Suite and Treehouse Villa are all on the same level as the restaurant, and just 10 metres away.
The staff love helping to keep an eye on your toddler, but this will depend on how busy they are. We don't usually have more that a handful of others guests in Nov and early-mid December.
We can arrange a babysitter for about A$8 per hour.
I hope this helps.
Regards
Rick Dunn, Owner.
Hi. No there isn't. However we do have one very large pool, a Jacuzzi, bale, pool deck and grass terraces. With only 7 suites/villas and a maximum of 14-18 guests, depending on the season, the pool and pool area is normally being used by 0-8 people at any particular time of the day.
Keramis Beach is a 25-30 minute drive from Amori.
