Chic, atmospheric and Instagrammable hotel. Friendly staff, breakfast is modest but delicious. The hotel has a good location - there is a store opposite, cafes, restaurants and spas nearby, the center is 5 minutes by taxi. The architecture and interior of the hotel - Balinese style - the photographs are very atmospheric. Two gorgeous large swimming pools - one Infinity with a view of the jungle and the river, the second in the center of the hotel with a diving bridge.

I visited Beji Ubud hotel during the pandemic. However, it turns out to be the best decision I made in 2020. The hotel has 5 swimming pools, the best one is the one that has view of forests and feels like we are swimming above the cliff. When I swim there (5 times in 3 days), there was only me. It does feel like a private swimming pool. If you want to feel at peace, and close to the nature, this is the place you should go to. I'd recommend you go on weekdays and hopefully you'd get the pool for yourself. Trust me and thank me later. The staffs are very kind and informative. The location is near a 24 hour minimart and few restaurants, when you at the gate just go left. You'll find many restaurants and cafe which are very affordable. The room service provides affordable foods like noodles, pasta, burger, rice in case you're too lazy to go out. The room is SO big and not old, if you want a bathtub, they have it too! That was the first thing I did when I arrived. The shower has water heater. The bed is kinda ok, not complaint about it tho. But man, the pools you should try! I love love it.

Stayed here 2 nights and spent one full day here relaxing around the pools and taking in the beautiful gardens and views, as they are absolutely stunning.
Great location just walking distance to the little supermarket and some places to eat along the street.
Very friendly staff and constant maintenance on the surrounding gardens.
The infinity pool with views of the jungle is insane!! Better than the pictures. Food was pretty basic but not bad and reasonably priced, so you didn't really need to leave. The breakfast buffet selection was not great though.
The garden bungalow we stayed in was pretty run down and there was a little seating area with 3 wooden chairs (family of 4), not comfortable to relax in at all so you had the sit on the beds which were very hard.
The bathrooms were not good, ours had an extremely strong smell or some sort of bleach product that was probably very toxic to breath in, so we closed the door and just used the one in the kids room, which didn't have a shower and a very creepy dripping bath. Some of the bedside lamps didn't work and all in all quite run down and not as comfortable as we would have liked. Good job we are used to camping as cleaned our teeth outside and didn't shower for the time we were there :)
The scenery and the pools made up for this though and had we stayed longer, probably would have asked to be moved. For the price we didn't worry too much about it.

Stayed here for one night and not a bad price so it was fine but we’d have not been happy staying for longer.
First the positives : the views, particularly from the infinity pool are fantastic. We found wifi ok considering the layout of the hotel and the space in general is pretty and appealing.
The general problem with the hotel though is that it’s run down and generally unloved. It looks and feels like a place that was stunning when it was built but hasn’t been spruced up or invested in since. Wherever you look there are tiles missing or weeds sprouting outside and inside the rooms they are grimy and dusty.
The rooms were superficially clean but felt grubby. We had big stains all over a yellowed mosquito net and the bathrooms were smelly. I had to climb up to get the unfilled air freshener off the wall (was going of and clicking all night) and the top of the wardrobe was filthy which showed the room hadn’t been deep cleaned for years.
The breakfast was arguably the worst thing I’ve ever been served in a paid establishment and, while the kids and wife had pancakes that were better, the portion size was inconsistent (and tiny).
Slept poorly on a hard bed (good pillows, and woken in the night by something large scrabbling in the roof space……not the hotel’s fault but pretty grim.
All in all would not recommend obviously

Reading through reviews I had high hopes for this place. The first day check in, the "security" and the front looked like an abandoned place. When we checked in and got the room, a bug/June bug dropped from the ceiling to the center of the bed right next to me and my boyfriend, ac was not strong, low wifi signal (we were in far end room).
3rd night, we found a frog in our room after a raining morning. Mind you, we did not open the door at all. We got back to the hotel after a long trekking day, a caterpillar dropped right where the bug were, right on top of my boyfriend's head!
I do not recommend this place. The pools look like standing water, who knows how many bacteria there are in those water.

Very old property, very unprofessionals management, full of mess , not maintained from years… Toilet and bathroom full off scam, stinky bedsheets and towels ..
Only one little aircon for big bed room hardly even work, rooms full of mosquitoes.
Online pictures not been updated since they have opened the facility . please don’t go by the pictures shown online..( able see recent pictures from google)
The rooms were not clean enough . There was mould in the bathroom and all room like it was not clean properly - smelly. The floor was a bit dirty with stains like it wasn't mopped. The swimming pool was not clean as well and you could see peeing paint on the walls and the water was not clear!!
lots of maintenance issues that needed to be addressed.
Unfortunately we had to cancel our stay over there due to the above reasons and they didn't do offer any refund we have booked accommodation from Agoda .. management provided them false information so we did not got refund Very disappointed.

Dear Paloma87
Warmest Greeting from Beji Ubud Resort,
Thank you very much for your message,
As we know, our resort is located in the area of Ubud Forest and beautiful Nature, its mean that fauna and flora are part of its glory. The geckos and other animals you could see or hear are part of this amazing Ecosystem. Nature itself can decide to get close to us and it happens (seldom) that extremely small house lizards (chichak / geckos) manage to enter the rooms - they are not dangerous.
For your information, we have pest control team who do their best to control the rats to make safe and clean the area.
We always make sure to the guest to keeps windows and doors closed, especially after sunset, not leave any food outside the room as animals will be attracted.
Thank you & Best Regards
Rika
