Ubud was the first stop of our honeymoon and we are so glad that we decided to stay at the Komaneka at Bisma. The resort was the perfect place to relax and recharge after traveling 26 hours to get there from the US. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast with fresh squeezed juice and a fruit assortment overlooking their iconic infinity edge pool. The staff was incredible and always willing to help. Every time we came back from our programming or even dinner they would be waiting for us at the loop to walk us into the lobby and hear all about our adventures. The location allows you to walk into the town center of Ubud in about 10 minutes. Nothing can top the relaxing stay that we had with unmatched hospitality from the staff at the Komaneka at Bisma.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the begging of our stay in Ubud.
Form our arrival late at night we were made to feel special, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms have everything you could wish for, we had a fantastic view of the paddy fields and the forest in the background from our balcony.
The staff are amazing and welcome you to the Komaneka Bisma family, the food in the restaurant is first class as is the service.
We had the Balinese wedding photos in the full regalia, the make up ladies did a great job and it was a real experience that we will treasure forever.
The property and rooms are amazing, but what really makes this Hotel is the staff. One of our favorite Hotels in the world, we will definitely be visiting again.

The Komeneka at Bisma was our second stop in Bali. It really is as good as all the previous reviews say it it.
We had a fourth floor suite overlooking the rice fields and pool. The views were stunning and the sense of space and serenity was overwhelming.
Our room was big with a separate seating area which was divided off by muslin drapes at night. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and big bath which had candle lanterns which you could light as you relaxed in the tub.
Every thought is given to making your stay comfortable, with adapters, loofer for the shower, luxury toiletries, a jar of home made biscuits, mosquito spray (there are a lot in Ubud), separate walk in closet for your cases and clothes, candles on the balcony, unobtrusive turn down service. This are just a few of the things that make this hotel extra special.
The food was delicious and the menus well thought out with the flavours. We particularly liked the mushroom soup and duck - you'd have to try them to understand why I single these out in particular. The service was never rushed, and everyone seemed to know our names without introductions.
The front desk staff all deserve a particular mention, where nothing was too much bother for them. My husband can talk for Scotland, but never did we feel that they wanted to rush us. By the end of our four night stay, it felt very emotional to be leaving and I wish we could have stayed longer.

Right from the moment we got there to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. With the most beautiful views of the tranquil surroundings we were spell bound. Me and my husband also used the spa facilities, the staff were amazing. The staff are very friendly always asking about our day and what we have planned. They give tremendous attention to detail to little things in the rooms like choc chip cookies which the kids loved and even umbrellas. I would highly recommend Komaneka At Bisma we definitely will be back again.

One of the most amazing hotels we have ever stayed in. The rooms are large with beautiful decor and balconies looking over the jungle. Rooms are cleaned twice a day and the attention to detail is amazing - water, slippers, hand made toiletries to use. The breakfast is delicious - lots of options and very good food. The location is perfect, a short walk to the main Ubud town with lots of restaurants / bars / amenities surrounding it. The infinity pool area is stunning. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

We are a family of three visiting Bali. We have spent 6 days at Komaneka at Bisma and it was the right choice.
Location: it is so close to Ubud center, just walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, Bisma is a quiet street and just around the corner we felt we were in the Forrest Puji laundry where is 5 mins walk from the hotel is super good, clean , efficient and inexpensive Avani Spa and Tejas Spa are just few mins walk from the hotel Pistachio, Taco Fiesta and Wild air are all within walking distance
Room: we stayed at a Family suite which was very spacious with balcony overlooking rice fields, a huge bath tub , two king size beds; and also a pantry. The room was Very comfortable. The only thing is sofas in the living room could be a two seater + a arm chair instead of 3 single armchairs, and also it was a bit dark in the living room
Restaurant: breakfast is delicious, esp the banana bread!!! meals at Senseng restaurant in general was very good.
Swimming pool: the infinity swimming pool is a dream, but it could be better if staff could come to check things out more often as sometimes towels ran out and no replenishment
Gym: I was so surprised there was a gym in this small hotel, and it was lovely !!!
Service: all the staffs were very polite and helpful, they even remembered our names !! We felt like coming home everyday
This is a gem in ubud, I will surely stay here again when I visit ubud in future

Just great: very nice terrace for e.g. breakfeast and dinner; wonderful view and pool, sustainable approach (e.g. refilling tubes for shower gel), self-baked cokies in the room, large, tidy and stylish, very friendly and high-competent staff; e.g. ibu Feby organized an unforgetable day trip for us. You find many, many advantages in detail. Finally, value for money is just great there, perhaps by nature, much better than in large international hotels. You really get the country feeling without beeing isolated from the local environment as this is often the case in such large resorts. And simultaneously, you do not miss anything.

For over two weeks my wife and I hoped around Australia and Indonesia, of all the places we stopped Komaneka was the only location we wished we had booked extra time and both agreed we would re-visit. The staff was excellent, warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The location was breathtaking. Well-kept and interesting rooms with balcony views of the rainforest and a small fast moving river. The grounds as a whole were all spectacular and around every corner of the walkway lay another wonderful surprise. The food was great if you felt like staying in and the location was prime, easily walkable to multiple destinations around Ubud without being too close to the noise and bustle of the market/main streets. I could not recommend a location with more confidence.

I traveled to Ubud 20 years ago as a backpacker on a budget and always wanted to go back and finally got the chance to do so with my beatiful wife.
It was going to be her first time to Bali and we were craving somewhere green, authentic, exotic and peaceful. We wanted something locally owned and away from the big brand hotels. Ubud has tons of home grown resorts so was quite hard to find one that balanced luxury with authenticity.
Komaneka at Bisma didn't disappoint and took our breath away from the first moment stepping on site.
Biggest impression was how genuinely warm, caring, friendly and above all else how genuinely authentic the whole team were at Komaneka Bisma.
The property itself, the pictures don't do it any justice as it's so multi layered and bursting full of character: from the huge and stunning rooms, to the wonderful rain forest like jungle paths and stunning infinity pool.
The breakfast and food in general was incredibly high quality and served with the usual warmth by all the team there.
Overall one of the finest and most enjoyable resorts we've ever been too and can't recommend high enough.
Tip: definitely use their spa faculties as it over looks a running river gorge in forest.
Looking forward to exploring more Komaneka properties and hope they grow from strength to strength.
