While we loved the villa and the location of this Madani antique villa, pretty disappointed on the team, clearly they need a better hospitality training. Firstly, prior to our arrival, ive informed the staff few times of our arrival time and guess what? They’re 30mins late, their excuse was there was this ceremony that blocking the road their passing.. But this is Bali, traditional ceremonies are everywhere and anytime so maybe they could have gauge the time better and came earlier and wait for the guest instead of guest waiting for them. Secondly, on our way to our villa they told us they upgraded us to a better room with a nicer view — which we later found out the villa they upgraded they into actually smaller and less nicer than the one we originally booked and they did that because the villa we booked still got other people in it, this is a bit sneaky and not very nice of them. Thirdly.. as a guest, its very tiring that i have to remind them to give us extra towel for the pool towel EVERYDAY, or should remind them they need to provide hand towels EVERYTIME THEY MAKE UP THE ROOM or tell them they need to change the door matt because its dirty or need to replace the sugar because its empty etc etc. Those kind of things are very basic things that should be provided in the room withour guests has to asked first. This whole experience with the staff didnt make us feel like a guest in a nice villa but rather made us feeling at home having a very inexperience domestic assistance. While its a nice place, i wouldnt reccomend this place to people and wont stay here again.

We stayed at Madani for 5 months during Covid and we absolutely fell in love with the place. It is so beautifully designed, with gorgeous views and pretty details in the house. We love the place itself amidst the rice fields but the best part was the service. All the staff are so kind and friendly and they always went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. This is definitely the BEST place to stay if you want to be close to Ubud but out of the busyness. We were crying to leave! And will definitely be back soon. Thank youuuuu madani !

Thank God we only spent 1 night here. It was so creepy experience. The room was not cleaned so we had to ask the staff to change the bed sheet and re-cleaned all the room area. In the middle of night, suddenly it was a huge noise inside our room. Not sure if it was some rats or lizards. In the morning we found that there was a bite on the plum that was sitting on the coffee table even we didn’t touch it at all. To the villas staffs, please do some thorough cleaning in the rooms. It is just a shame that this villas have an amazing view with that kind of low standard of cleanliness.
