I didn't take a further look at the hotel because I supposed to meet a friend who stayed at the villa at the back of the hotel. First look, the hotel was so quiet and dark. after checking in, I went to the toilet at the lobby, which was so dirty. At the back, there was a cool swimming pool, surrounded by lots of greenery and a yoga place at the side. I took a very nice yoga class there. The room I stayed in had a damp smell, which wasn’t very pleasant but was tolerable. The bathroom was full of stain on the wall, frequented by mosquities, which was a nuisance. Lucky I only stay for 2 nights. Anyway, the staff were wonderful and made you feel at home, providing any necessary help.

I fact so cheap with 7€ that there is no room to complain about this run down place for this price a night with pool and friendly staff is great. They run their business under 2 names kubu ubud and reddozs brand.

We stayed for three days two nights at kubu ubud hotel and we loved our stay. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre but the quite ambience is what made our stay splendid. The rooms were clean and the swimming pool was very nice. The surrounding was quite and peaceful. and there was a food stall outside of the hotel and their barbequed chicken is something to die for. The staffs were really friendly as well. We had peaceful stay and a good rest here.

Kubu Ubud is located in a small village just outside of Ubud, approx 15mins on a scooter. The property is very peaceful and well maintained enabling you to relax. The swimming pool is clean and is surrounded by lots of greenery. The staff were wonderful and made you feel at home, providing any necessary help. Breakfast is simple but good - eggs, fruit, toast, coffee, tea. However a scooter is highly recommended if you want to do anything whilst staying here. The room I stayed in had a damp smell to it which wasn’t very pleasant but was tolerable. The bathroom was frequented by frogs and spiders everyday which was a nuisance. In addition, Kubu Ubud is advertised on Expedia providing a restaurant, cafe and pool side bar. None of these exist.

The pool made the bath clothes yellow. Bad doors to the rooms, very much bugs. Would not recommend this resort to anybody.. Cheap living and nice staff except their english. Pretty long to the city, you have to rent a moped or taxi

I am normally not someone to complain very quickly, but this resort just missed too many opportunities in my view. To be fair, it is quite new and they are still under construction. WiFi is really lacking in this place, most of the time there's no connection at all. In our case this was really frustrating as we had to find and book a hotel in our next location in Indonesia. When we checked in, a shuttle was promised by the staff which would take resort guests to and from the city center at regular intervals. Four times a day to be exact. We were waiting to be picked up to go back to the resort but no shuttle. We called several times to the reception and every time they told us to wait 15 more minutes. After one hour we were fed up with waiting so we just took a taxi and they paid for it. There are beautiful rain showers in the bathroom, but they only provide you with cold water. (we had 2 different The beds are extremely hard and only sleepable with a lot of alcohol in your system. The sound of construction is also really annoying if you wish to stay in the resort a little bit and hang by the pool. Makes me wonder why they didn't complete it first before taking guests. The breakfast was very tasteless and they put some Indonesian rock music to accompany our meal, which I think is not the most appropriate genre early in the morning. The staff wished to clean our rooms even though we were still inside. When I told them to come back they just waited outside making us feel rushed. I do have to say that the rooms and the resort decoration look really nice, so on the surface it's good. But with all the lacking things mentioned above I don't think this factor makes up for that. All in all I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

When comparing price vs quality this was excellent. Nice rooms, clean bathroom, good breakfast (no pancakes) and friendly staff. At the time we were staying there was still construction going on on several parts of the resort, but we haven't had any complaints about it (from 8am till 6 pm). Just be aware that this is not as near to Ubud as it appears, so rent a bike or be ready to pay your way to Ubud. In hindsight we were a bit overcharged for our motorbike and taxi, but nothing serious, it's Bali.. You win some, you lose some.
