Amazing what a difference it makes when you leave the ridiculously traffic-jammed noisy taxi-hawking Monkey Forrest Road and go down the narrow lane to Jati3 Bungalows. Peaceful, lovely infinity pool, good basic breakfast and very friendly staff. The complaints you may read must be for a few of the rooms on the lower level. Not true for the rooms around the upper pool area. Reasonable price, a cut above basic and great location.

Jati 3 Bungalows is a worth a stay when coming to Ubud. We stayed there for 3 nights in July 2014 and generally enjoyed it. It's excellently located close to Ubuds "city center" and just a 10min walk from the sacred monkey forrest as well as to the market square. Close by are many nice and good restaurants and bars. If you are looking for the best place to dine, check out "Cafe Wayan & Bakery"!!

The included breakfast at Jati 3 is okay, nothing fancy but their banana pancakes are really good. The pool area is small but very nice.

Unfortunately they were renovating/ building a new room-complex at the moment we were there and the construction site was really loud in the morning from the room we were in first. We booked the standard room. However, after talking to the receptionist he upgraded us to a deluxe room which is located next to a small river, facing the jungle, where it was really quiet and much much nicer than in the upper are of the hotel. We stayed at the ground floor in the deluxe room building facing the jungle and can really recommend it if you are thinking about staying at Jati 3.

what an amazing stay! this was by far my favourite hotel on our vacation around bali. we did have quite a few uninvited guests make an appearance (geckos) but it didn’t bother us as everything else made up for it. an awesome pool with sun-beds, a wonderful view from our balcony, a mini fridge in the hotel room, a decently sized bed, an air con and a very clean/well maintained bathroom made staying in this hotel memorable

as the hotel is located near several pubs keep in mind that you might hear loud music each night till around 11-1130pm. there also seemed to be a bit of a language barrier when speaking to a couple of the staff. they didn’t quite understand us when we mentioned we wanted a vegetarian option as they served us meat

Noisy local family living on premises. Washing hung out to dry in front of our room. Dirty kitchen...we would not eat here. Could not even get ice from the kitchen.
Towels old.
Long dirty ally from street to Jati 3. We will not promote this at even half the price.

I stayed 5 nights with my friends in this beautiful hotel and we completely fell in love with it.
The location is perfect, just 3 minutes walk from the Monkey Forest. Very quiet and peaceful, our room was just in front of the lush green of the forest, beautiful!
Rooms are clean, linen and towels have an amazing fragrance and staff is very reliable.
Delicious breakfast is provided in the morning. Do not miss the yummy green pancakes!
Daily tours are also available with very affordable prices. Our driver Nyoman has been great!
We enjoyed a lot their tour called Bali on Bike...they drove us up to the Kintamani village and we cycled for 35 km down the valley, passing through local villages and rice paddies...absolutely unforgettable!
The best part was when we stopped at Dewa's house,( the Jati 3 manager) for lunch and tried their own food, which was something outstanding! I really recommend people to try this experience!
Great value and atmosphere..too good to be missed!

Was convinced that this would be a good pick after reading multiple review, alas.. was the first 'rotten apple' from Tripadvisor. Hotel staff was least helpful in carrying my bags, as i was on holiday with my old folks. No parking available, and was not mentioned on the hotel site. Room was 'ancient', with a horrible looking fridge and leaking shower. Even the satellite TV was not renewed in subscription, and had to stare at a ad channel all night long. And im not going to start about the hopeless WiFi. Utter disappointment with the level of comfort and service. The only plus point would be the location, smack right in the lane where Ubud's enchanment comes alive at night. And Starchild and 3 Points massage parlours are your neighbors. Verdict: Avoid unless running out of options.

We stayed here for a couple of days. As soon as we arrived, the staff we consistently pushing tours on us. The rooms were dirty, no toilet roll. Towels smelt terrible. We tried to avoid the hotel as much as possible. Look for another place, there are many nicer in Ubub.

I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, however, this review is needed to prevent other travellers experiencing what we experienced.

We arrived to a minimal welcome, no introduction around breakfast times etc.

The front door of the room is a padlock and a piece of wood behind the door to lock at night. Now I have travelled around Asia so know this can be common but still felt a sense of being unsafe. Single female solo travellers I would not feel safe walking down the alley too.

The room does not look like the pictures at all. I think the pictures must have been taken at least 5-10 years ago. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust and stains (I have added photos) and sink was also missing a tap and was also half detached from the wall.

We had only checked in for one night so decided to grin and bear it until the morning. BUT then as we settled into bed and it went quiet there was sudden very loud scurrying noises on the bamboo ceiling.

On their account yes they gave us a different room which was slightly more cosmetically pleasing- however- they were not shocked in the slightest about the rats and did not help with moving our bags etc. They behaved like this was a problem from our behalf.

The family also live on site (which I do love a family based business) however, they have a lot of items stacked up around the place making it look cluttered.

Anyway, I like to finish on a positive... The banana pancakes were delicious!
