I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the spacious and comfortable villa that is surrounded in a serene beautiful landscape . The room's design exuded luxury, with a bed so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The resort's restaurants served exceptional (but pricey) food, providing a delightful culinary experience.
However, there were a few minor details that could enhance the overall experience. The bathroom could benefit from additional lighting to brighten the space. A table in the room would have been convenient for guests to place their belongings. While the private pool was a great feature, ensuring that towels are consistently clean would improve guest satisfaction. Additionally, adding hooks in the bathroom for hanging clothes and towels would be a practical touch.
Despite these minor suggestions, my stay was enjoyable, and I would recommend this hotel for its serene ambiance and overall comfort.

We loved our stay at Visesa Ubud Resort. Our room was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The property is large and well maintained. They also have a free shuttle to take you the 5 minute ride into town (or it is a $4 grab ride). We also used the spa facilities for a couples cave massage and it was fantastic. However, the best part of this resort is the staff. They are wonderful and make your stay extra special. For example, one night we ate at the restaurant and I was not keen on the pizza - they noticed right away and asked if there was a problem, when I said it was not my favourite choice, they removed the pizza from my bill. Also, management extended our room stay until 4:30 pm without us requesting a late check out ( our flight was leaving in the evening). I cannot express enough how wonderful all the staff are including Miko, Adi and Sintra to name a few. I highly recommend this resort. We plan to go back! 5 +++++ ⭐️

Our stay at Visesa Ubud Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive and very friendly, making us feel warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The resort's grounds are beautifully maintained, filled with lush greenery that adds to the tranquil ambiance of the place. Our accommodation in the 2-bedroom lagoon pool villa was luxurious and comfortable. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis, ensuring a hygienic and pleasant environment throughout our stay. The highlight for our family was undoubtedly the lagoon pool – our girls absolutely loved it and spent hours enjoying themselves. The food at the resort was also excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. We would highly recommend Visesa Ubud Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway in Ubud. We can't wait to return!

Booked a Pool Villa via Trip a Deal for 6 nights that included breakfast, 3 course lunch OR dinner each day, a cocktail each and a 60 minute massage. We also added the airport transfer which needed to be booked via email with a 3rd party company and is not provided by the hotel.

While it looks like 5 star hotel on first glance, look a little deeper and you can see the wear and tear in places and the small things that take away from a true 5 star property.

Pro's:
Service from most of the staff was amazing, really friendly and helpful. The only issue was having to constantly explain we were on a Trip a Deal package to gain access to our included Cocktail and Lunch/Dinner. Many of the staff did not seem aware of this package.
Breakfast was adequate, food could have been hotter and better covered in some cases as there were fruit flies around. But eggs cooked to order and Barista coffee was included.
Villa bedroom and bathroom was large, bed comfy and nice outdoor area with lounge//kitchen and coffee machine. We were not bothered by the seating/kitchen area being seperate. Pool was a good size.
Nice grounds and views to the paddy fields.

Cons:
Bathroom was showing quite a bit of wear, shower was slow to drain and flooded the floor each time it was used creating a hazard. Room was sometimes not cleaned until late afternoon, we had to call to have it done on one occasion.
Free shuttle was not frequent enough, first one didn't leave until 11am , then another at 2, then last at 5pm with similar returns meaning if you wanted to go to town for dinner you needed to get a taxi there and back. Wish we had known about the back way someone described in other reviews as we would have utilised that.
The 3 course lunch and dinner inclusion was not great. There was the same set menu each day for both lunch and dinner which was mainly Western focused food wise. We managed to swap out the lunch to a one course cheaper Indonesian dish a couple of times but it would have been a better experience to have been able to order off the ala carte menu for the same value.
The biggest disappointment was how cold our Villa pool was. It was like a cold plunge bath rendering it unusable during our stay. We had to retreat to the main pool if we wanted a swim.

Overall I wouldn't describe this as a resort, more a collection of villas and a hotel room wing with an onsite restaurant. The resort was used as a base for tour companies during our stay, meaning it was very busy a breakfast but like a ghost town during the day/evening. While it was relaxing, with not many facilities onsite or within walking distance I wouldn't recommend for more than a few nights.

Travelled with friends - 4 adults.
Booked a 7 day Luxury Escapes package in a Sky Infinity Pool Villa, breakfast included, nightly cocktails and either daily lunch or dinner.

The Sky Infinity Pool Villa is on the 3rd floor of a large block of hotel rooms. Outside space around the pool is very limited and no garden to speak of. Hotel staff refer to the 2nd bedroom as the children's room (even though we were 4 adults) which consequently does not have a safe in it.

Positive Points:
Beautiful buildings and layout
Beautiful and extensive gardens
Wonderful attentive staff
Spa was very good
Food quality is excellent

Negative Points:
Room cleaning is very poor, constantly forgot to replenish various towels, only changed the bed linen after 5 days and prompting them to do so, floors and surfaces within the villa were not cleaned or wiped down in the 7 days we stayed there.
Drink service from the bar was very slow.

Be advised that this hotel caters to bus loads of Indian tourists.
Their behaviour at the breakfast buffet was disgusting and their yelling and pointing at the hotel staff was shameful. I have travelled all through India and didn't ever encounter such awful behaviour. It wasn't just one group, staying at the hotel for 7 days we saw many groups who only stayed 2 to 3 days at the most but were all equally rude.

The resort is amazing!! Very pleasant experience. It's focused on sustainability and the property is surrounded by rice fields.

We stayed in a pool villa and the sound of water fountain in the pool within the villa is very soothing and relaxing

The room is beautiful

Contrary to the common fear about musquitos, we were surprised pleasantly to not find musquitos in the room / in the property

The house keeping is amazing and the spa though slightly expensive vs Sineynak, is pretty good

Yayo helped us with the full propert tour and it's a vast one with a beautiful architecture and planning

Here’s a positive review for Visesa Ubud Resort:

A Magical Stay in the Heart of Ubud!

Visesa Ubud Resort is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm Balinese hospitality and a serene atmosphere that made us feel instantly relaxed. The resort is beautifully designed, surrounded by lush greenery and rice fields, creating a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle.

Our villa was spacious, immaculately clean, and featured a private pool with breathtaking views. The traditional Balinese touches in the decor made the experience even more special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the open-air bathroom added a touch of luxury to our stay.

The staff at Visesa went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable stay. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. The resort offers a variety of activities, including yoga, cycling through the rice fields, and cultural experiences that immerse you in the beauty of Bali.

The food at the resort’s restaurant was exceptional! Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with fresh, delicious options that catered to different tastes. We also enjoyed a romantic dinner with a stunning view of the rice fields.

Nice hotel with a Balinese touch. It is out a ways from the Ubud market but there is a free shuttle about 4 times a day. They drop you off and you tell them which designated time you wish to be picked up. We took the shuttle without a problem.
We had a hotel room facing the jungle garden area off a bug balcony. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed king with covered mosquito net that was needed at all. Nice touch though. Lots of nice paths to walk around and see the animals such as cows, ducks, roosters. The staff bring a cow and ducks across from breakfast area for people to feed also pretty cool. There are rice paddies surrounding areas of the hotel. Absolutely a feeling of Bali!. You can walk from the hotel area or ask for the golf cart to take you to just outside the entrance where there are various restaurants and a convenience store. Upon return ask the hotel guard to call the hotel to come pick u up. Also instead of using the hotel spa which is expensive go to the little massage place outside of hotel on the left where you can have a full body Balinese massage for $12 ( Canadian). It is amazing!!!. Great staff, nice atmosphere and so relaxing!!!!

Had a blissful four days at Visesa. We stayed in the Forest Jacuzzi suite with our two teenagers. It was spacious and very comfortable. We paid $25 AUD for a flower bathing our room which was really special. Loved cycling around the resort in the rain and visiting the cows and ducks. Just a beautiful place to stay. The staff are very hospitable and a special shout out to Sinta at reception who was so helpful. Definitely recommend this tranquil place!

We stayed at Visesa Ubud Resort for three days and started our stay in a Jungle Pool Villa, which was a truly unforgettable experience. The villa was clean with a beautiful design. The private pool was one of the highlights of our stay, we had so much fun swimming and relaxing in such a serene setting. The bathroom was elegantly decorated, with everything perfectly in place, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

The breakfast at the resort was good. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted us with warm smiles, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The spa experience was absolutely fantastic, gentle and calming, leaving us feeling pampered and refreshed.

A thoughtful gesture from the staff was preparing a breakfast box for our early morning flight. It was a kind touch that left a positive impression.

However, the jungle setting came with its challenges. Despite our best efforts to keep the doors tightly shut, lizards and bugs still managed to find their way in, which was quite uncomfortable. Eventually, we informed the team and switched to a normal room for the remainder of our stay. The new room felt safer and provided more privacy. While it wasn’t a 5-star standard, it was comfortable and good enough.

We also used the resort’s laundry service. While the clothes came back clean and well-handled, we found the cost to be high, about triple the fees charged by other hotels. Considering we had only sent light items like T-shirts and sleepwear, the price was disappointing.

The hotel is about a 10-15 minute shuttle ride from Ubud itself. We always caught a taxi back and the prices are very cheap. I think there were a couple of small places to eat near the hotel entrance, but we didn’t use them, we preferred to travel into Ubud as there’s so much choice.

Absolutely! When it comes to these two villas, they're worlds apart. The distinction lies solely in their exquisite locations. The 2-bedroom pool villa, a true gem, stands proudly as a landed property. On the other hand, prepare to be mesmerized by the sky pool villa, perched majestically on the illustrious 3rd floor of the remarkable Visesa hotel building.

Is there a gym and is the breakfast a buffet?
Answer from Calvin B
2 contributions
Yes, they have gym, since the area is really vast you can also use it as jogging track. The breakfast is semi buffet at the time I stayed. Not all of the menu will be shown in the buffet section, you need to ask the server any other things. The server is really helpful to explain about the availability of the kitchen menu.
