This place blew us away. It's a charm and we couldn't believe something this plush and luxurious came at this price! The reception is an art gallery- the first thing you notice when you enter is the sense of space- big glass windows, lots of open air, greenery and paintings. The rooms are enormous and luxurious- every details is taken...

We spent 5 days in 2 of the villas. Family of 4 had the 2brm Paprius Villa and we had the Jepun Villa. Both villas were absolutely beautiful. The latex bed in Jepun is heavenly! Staff were fantastic and very helpful accommodating all our requests. Breakfast was really good. When we were there the Italian restaurant had not opened and...

Stayed in Gaya villas for two nights in Sep 2013 and had a great time. Finding the hotel was quite a pain as it wasnt listed on Google Maps and the locals didnt know where it was. However, once we got there it was all worth it. The place has just a handful of villas and each villa follows a...

Some great touches here. Rooms are great but the room that we stayed in started to show its age a bit. AC was on the noisy side and TV (not that we watched it) was a 90's style tube set. This setup might not be for everyone as it's a bit out of the way, the shuttle into Ubud centre...

What a wonderful little treasure! with only 7 villas, set in a beautiful garden in Sayan (10-15 min from Ubud with a scooter), it is an absolute paradise! Everything is perfect, quiet and serene. We will definitely come back to Gaya Villas! The villas are really beautiful and comfortable. Each one is different and they all have a true artistic...

The villa was about 10 km away from Ubud. It was clean, quite, the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. If you wanted more coffee or toast with your breakfast they were happy to prepare more. If you wanted to go to Ubud they organised a driver for free. Our family enjoyed our stay at the villas.

Lovely villas and great, friendly and prompt service. We got a good deal and stayed 4 nights in villa bambu - good value. Although its a bit out of Ubud centre, the shuttle service is quick and easy. We used it all the time! They will tell you to only use the shuttle once a day, but would always just...

We stayed in Gaya for 4 nights. Our room was spacious and the bathroom felt surprisingly luxurious. We got a great value deal and felt it exceeded the price we paid, however one note of caution - the restaurant was very disappointing. Having tried both their Italian fare and their Indonesian cuisine, neither were of a similar standard to what...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gaya Villas originally built as bungalows for our artists, set between the nature of the river gorge and the culture of the Art Space, integrate original artwork with luxurious living - a reflection of our philosophy that art and life are inseparable. Our Italian-Balinese fusion architecture includes marble floors and grass "alang alang" roofs, two shared living areas (one overlooking the pool and gardens, another with a large table and cushions) and a swimming pool with sun-lounge area. ... more   less

“If you want to be by the pool, ask for one of the older two villas up top. If you want to be more secluded and don't mind a short walk to the pool (totally neglibile), then ask for one of the four newer villas down below.”
