I booked the Grand Villa for 10 nights and was extremely happy with the room. It is large with everything you need eg. Large size fridge, microwave, sink in a corner kitchenette, electric jug, mugs glasses and plates plus some cutlery. King size bed, TV, wardrobe and excellent airconditioner. Large terrace with furniture. Bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower. Wifi was great in the room.
When booking this room remember it is a traditional Balinese style so perhaps not to everyone's taste. Yes, perhaps the towels could be updated but everything was clean. The garden is amazing as is the staff. The thing that lets the hotel down is the breakfast plus the lunch and dinner menu. It is adequate but that is it. My suggestion to the hotel restaurant is to do away with the faded tablecloths and have place mats that can be wiped down after each guest.
It is certainly not a 5* hotel but in a great position on the beach. Do not book the "Savers" rooms. No further explanation necessary.

Ate at the restaurant on the beach. Limited food and drink options but what they had was okay - be aware of dining on the beach there are very brave rats everywhere that will try to climb your table and eat your food. I ended up leaving my meal to get away from them.

Nice hotel in great location. Hotel quite basic but right next to the beach in Sanur. Nice bar right across the road from the hotel. Staff very helpful and rooms very clean. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Bali. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Very disappointed, will not stay again. This place has a great location and the staff are really very friendly but the buildings let the whole place down. Some are locked by using a padlock as the door locks are gone. If you leave a room with someone inside you either lock them in or have them lock the door from inside. Room was very run down, the shower head was old and crusty and did not spray properly, towels were badly worn as well as the sheets. Tap on the basin was loose and was afraid to use it in case it broke or failed. Breakfast is very slim, eggs, coffee and a small fruit platter. Have stayed in Bali and at Sanur many times over the last 6 years and have never had to ask and then pay for replacement bottled water. You get 2 bottles the first day then you are on your own and must buy water or drink the water they bring to you in a jug.
Pool had mould on the walls of the pool but was otherwise clean.
The old saying that you get what you pay for is correct. Please clean this place up and bring it back to it's former glory.

The rooms are disgustingly filthy and smelly. Full of mosquitoes and mould. I expected them to be outdated and in need of renovation, but at least clean. Our pool view Joglo was awful.
The bathroom facilities are dirty and smell disgusting and are also in need of renovation and a damn good clean. The provided towels were essentially dirty, once white, grey old rags, far more grey than white, and as thin as paper.
I have never experienced such rude front of house staff in Bali. I asked for ice, and it was just too hard for them to call the bar to have it in our room. I was referred to the empty ice trays in my room, or told to walk to the bar and get it myself.
My friends room was uninhabitable. She immediately checked out and moved to another hotel, same rate, but clean and friendly. She still had to pay the night for a filthy room, rubbish pouring out of a bin at the door, sickening bathroom and a horrific stench.
Do not even consider staying here. I would rather sleep on the beach.

No value for money. We had 3 rooms 2 had problems with aircon. Our room had plumbing issues no shower or toilet for 12hrs. We booked a 2 bed 2 bath family room however we were not told 2nd bathroom had only cold water. Staff were lovely location great. However breakfast was terrible eggs or pancakes fruit selection bad american breakfast plastic cheese sliced corned beef and tomatoes. Juice was bottled orange drink not juice and only allowed 1 glass. Property so run down it was sad to see. Could not recommend.

We changed rooms five times in five days as none of the airconditioners worked properly. Staff are lovely, helpful & understanding, This is an older style Bali Hotel in serious need of maintenance of just about everything I can think of. This is my 19th visit to Bali & the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. The only positive is that the property stretches from Jl. Tamblingin ( main street ) through to the beach. Breakfast is very meagre & poor. No restaurant as such, unable to order drinks around the pool. Both pools have algae all around the inner walls. The pool water is always warm. bed linens old & discoloured, pillows old & lumpy. Bathroom tiles, toilets & showers are grotty, chipped and worn. Beds are hard & old. No wheelchair access. Steps into pool are dangerous & steep. No cleaning of poolside deck chairs is done. Water pressure in bathrooms is very weak.
Poolside shower is a dangerous step down. Many gaps appear under bedroom doors which lets the cool air escape. old bedroom wardrobes, coffee table etc are less than effective & minimal. Very little electric plug fittings for charging electronic equipment & appliances. Every room in this hotel appears out of date & severely lacking in maintenance & updating. Even the reception staff have not got a fan even after asking for one. No welcome drinks or professional attention to detail was available upon arrival. I cannot wait to get the heck out of here. It has been a dismal holiday accommodation in so many ways. I feel extremely sorry for the staff who must work for the Australian owner of this hotel. If she is reading this I have to state that she should be ashamed of herself. I thank the lovely staff in reception, ( Sri, Agus & others ) for their kindness.

The hotel is terribly dirty, we were in room 227. There are cobwebs and mold everywhere, the glasses in the room are dirty, the towels are stained, the drain in the shower does not work. The sink is dirty with a hole. The room itself looks like a basement, dark, damp. We ordered through booking, the price there is cheaper, directly 2 times higher (850 thousand)

The room I was given smelled musty so I asked to move rooms, it was quite better, but the cleanliness was not as good as a hotel. Mineral water is only given on the first day. It looks like this hotel needs to be upgraded. The TV is a very old model.

I just left yesterday, l booked through Booking.Com. nowhere did it say that I was booking a Saver Room. It was extremely basic, no jug. No chair to sit outside and the TV didn't work, water pressure was seriously bad. I could have asked for an upgrade but after having a good look in the morning ( l arrived in the middle of the night ) I decided to give it a go. The linen and towels were clean as was the room, the aircon was great and the water was hot. The location is incredible and the staff so friendly. I ended up staying the full eight days before moving to other planned accomodation.

It is the same place. I stayed there in the mid 70's and recently (2018) went back there. Good value stay. It is different to the 70's as it is now only about 1/2 the size it was, but the staff are very friendly and there has been a lot of upgrade work done and still being done.

I would say the " family villa " is fine inside but I guess you have to ask yourself: " Do I want to sit on the beach and hear boom, boom, boom music from the place directly next door ? " I agree that the place next door dominates the beach etc. I would never stay there again due to the new place next door ( didn't know there was building going on when I booked ), but also the food was mediocre & hot water was a problem. I am a frequent visitor to Bali and like Sanur (never go to Legian, Seminyak and certainly not Kuta ! ) but there are also better beach spots in Sanur- Besaki Hotel for example where I have also stayed. Really like Swastika Bungalows, whilst not beachfront, is very, very good.
